Chapter 147

"I don't think we should wake her," Remus whispered as the four stood over Sirius' bed, looking down at Adria sleeping peacefully, her hair sprawled over the pillow and her hands clutching the quilt.

"I know," Sirius frowned, stroking her cheek softly, a sigh tumbling from his lips, "she needs rest, she has been up all night comforting Tallulah and Gully."

"Yes, but we need her help," James sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose, "look, we'll cover for her in classes tomorrow-" he cut himself off, he really didn't want to wake his best friend either, she looked far too content, and the boys where right, she had a rough time over the past week comforting Tallulah and Gully, who had lost everything but each other.

"Adria wake up we need your help!" Peter screeched, earning three sets of glares from the boys around him, and with a sheepish smile, Peter backed away.

A groan tumbled from Adria's lips as she stirred, trying to keep her mind off of the headache she had from lack of sleep, "baby girl, wake up," Sirius whispered softly, running a hand through her hair as her eyes fluttered open, and soon did her eyebrows furrow at the four boys surrounding her.

"Oh merlin, what?" she asked, turning over suddenly to read the clock, grumbling curse words under her breath that the boys decided to wake her up at four in the morning.

"We need your help," Remus spoke, a sigh tumbling from his lips, "and the reason we need it urgently, as in right now, is because it's-"

"Mental, but it's us, and you love us, so you have to help!" James piped in.

"Yes, and we promise to cover you in classes tomorrow, well, today, so that you can sleep!" Peter grinned, nodding his head whilst another sight tumbled from Adria's lips.

She turned to Sirius, pouting ever so slightly when the laugh pushed through his lips, "we could use your help, Adria, you're much more skilled than all of us."

"Skilled?" she repeated, finally sitting up in his bed to show the hoodie that she had stolen from him, "oh merlin."

"Please help us?" Remus asked, "we could do it ourselves if we tried but you already know the charms that we need, and technically, you are just as much part of this as we are."

"If this has to do with your stupid self-proclaimed name thingy then count me out," Adria huffed, falling onto Sirius who sat on his bed, a laugh escaping his lips as he reached for his girlfriend's hand.

"Look, why don't we both skip classes tomorrow, or why don't we all skip classes and just chill all day?" Sirius suggested, "we are almost finished with this, we just have a few more things left to do."

"Why didn't I know about this thing?" asked Adria, pushing herself up once again to look at Sirius, watching the sheepish smile form on his lips.

"We knew you wouldn't approve," he trailed off, "but now, you have to approve, because we really need your help!"

"Okay, fine, I'll help," she grumbled, pushing herself up and pulling on her slippers, "but that doesn't mean that I approve with whatever you all have planned."

"It'll make our lives easier, Addy," Sirius chuckled, slipping his arm around her waist and pulling her into him, "I promise."

"Will it make my life easier?" she asked, her eyebrow raised.

"There is a possibility," Sirius shrugged, "depends on how you look at it."

"Oh merlin, alright, lead me to this."

A smile widened on the boy's lips as Sirius guided her out of the dormitory, the moon illuminated the night's sky when Adria looked out of the window, and soon, when they reached the dull corridors where they engulfed in almost darkness. She assumed that the boys where leading her to the library, seeing as they requested her help, but when they continued down the hallway did Adria know that the library was not where they were going.

"Y'know, as head boy, you really should be setting an example," Adria tutted, shaking her head when James turned to her with a smirk, "I'm terribly disappointed."

"I want to know how it was even possible for you to become head boy," Remus piped in, a scoff leaving his lips as he leaned his arm on Adria's head.

"Oh, shut it, Moony, you're just jealous," James laughed, turning to the boy with a look that Remus matched with his own.

"Far from it, actually," Remus grinned, "i may be wrong, but apparently, I didn't make the best prefect."

"You where alright," Adria shrugged, nodding her head as she moved his arm from her head, instead linking it with her own, "I mean, if you actually punished these twats when they done something wrong then maybe you'd be head boy, but then again, he was the twat getting into trouble, so who really knows."

"Well I am captain of the quidditch team, incredibly handsome, and also smart, I even help first years to their classes unlike someone who just grumbles irritatingly at them," James teased, earning a look from Adria who moved to push him away.

"Oh, and you're humble too," Adria joked, a smirk on her lips when the boys laughed, "and I help first years too, actually, but when they push into you more than once it's hard not to get annoyed."

"Yeah, exactly," Peter nodded, "bloody annoying if you ask me!"

"Thank you, Peter!" Adria grinned, high-fiving the boy who couldn't help but laugh.

"I think I should have been head boy," Sirius tutted, tightening his grip around Adria who turned to him with a laugh, "what?! I'm serious!"

"I know," she giggled, nudging him when he groaned, "do you really?"

"Well no, but I could've been!" he exclaimed, earning a nod from Adria who bit her lip to stop her laughs.

"Of course, you could've," she giggled, leaning her head on his chest, "can I ask where we're going?"

"No, but you can ask what we've arrived to," Remus grinned, patting Adria's head who turned to him with a glare.

"An empty hallway?" Adria asked, a frown attacking her lips as she looked around, sharing a look with a grinning Sirius. Her eyes widened suddenly when a large rustling sound was heard around the corridor, and without even realising did she reach for Sirius suddenly, "what the hell?!"

"It's alright, Addy," Sirius chuckled, pulling her along so that they entered the new-found room that the corridor offered, "surely you've heard of the room of requirement."

"No way!" Adria gasped, wide eyed as she looked around the room. It was nothing like she had imagined it to be, but then, she knew that It could change to whatever the person needed, "how did you find it?!"

"It found us, actually," Peter smiled, throwing his arm around a shocked Adria, "we couldn't get caught, so it presented itself to us."

"That's mental," Adria whispered, turning to Peter with wide eyes, "so what am I here for?"

"Charms," Remus piped in, gesturing her over to the sofa that he had previously fell on to. Adria moved forward, running a hand through her hair as she approached the boys, eying curiously, the piece of parchment on the table in front of them.

"We've been working on this long before seventh year," James spoke, "secretly, of course."

"I didn't even know you could keep a secret," Adria scoffed.

"I kept you liking Sirius a secret," James pointed out.

"Well, now he knows!" Adria exclaimed, earning a laugh from the boys as she moved to sit beside said Sirius, "okay, so this thing you've been working on, what is it?"

"A map."

"A map?" she repeated, her eyebrow raised as the boys nodded, grinning at her, "of?"

"Hogwarts," James smirked, "secret passage ways, corridors, the lot, I mean, we probably could've used you in the developing stage, seeing as you know this castle inside out, but desperate times, y'know."

"Why do you need a map of Hogwarts?" she asked, her head titled ever so slightly.

"Well, when we started it a long time ago, I should add," Peter piped in, "we were going to use it for pranks, to help us, but now, it's our legacy."

"A map is your legacy?" she asked, "oh merlin, alright, so what else does this map include?"

"Well, every single person in the school is on it," Remus shrugged, "or they will be," he grinned, pointing to her.

A sigh tumbled from Adria's lips as she pulled her wand out of her boot, allowing the boys to explain to her what the map needed. She had decided to just go along with it, seeing as doing anything else would result in more answers to questions she wasn't sure she wanted the answer to. She was sure she had probably hit the jackpot with the weirdest friends in the entire world, and whilst she loved them dearly, sometimes she wished they wouldn't involve her in everything they done.

Seeing as she was sure this map probably broke a million school rules.

The Marauders Map was what it was called, and seeing as she was part of the marauders, they wished to put her name on it, well, no, actually, they wished to put 'kitten' on it, to which Adria said that if they even so much as tried to, she would throw the three boys into the shrieking shack with Remus, and then after, she would throw Remus off of the astronomy tower.

"Why don't you want to be on the map, Addy?" asked Sirius, frowning as she turned to him, she worried that he was hurt with her decision, seeing as his facial expression told her that.

"Because you guys are the legends, aren't you?" she laughed, "it would be wrong for me to be on the map when you guys are the ones who got the name, I'm just a tag along, maybe I am an animagus, but that doesn't mean that it's my legacy. This is for you, something you have all worked on, and just because I'm your best friend, or because I helped with a few charms doesn't mean that you guys put in basically all of the work!"

"But we want you on it," Sirius whispered, pulling her onto his lap whilst she sighed, guiding him to look at her and pressing her lips to his softly.

"you are Padfoot, and you are Moony, and Prongs, and Wormtail, and those are the ones that deserve to be on the map, who have worked hard for this, and wish to create this map to continue on what you started, I was never a part of your pranks, yes I love pranks, muggle pranks, and I love you guys more than even possible, but this is for you, and my name, or my alias shouldn't be on something that I didn't create," she smiled at the boys, stroking Sirius' cheek before turning back to the map, "I'm incredibly proud of you four, by the way."

"Why?"

"Because look at how complex this is!" she exclaimed, a laugh tumbling from her lips, "you guys are so incredibly smart, so bloody intelligent, and merlin, if you just took this intelligence and put it into your classwork then maybe you'd succeed!"

"Oh, bloody hell you sound like McGonagall," Peter grumbled, shaking his head whilst Remus pushed him.

"The room of requirement isn't on here," Adria spoke, pointing to the place where the room should be, "see."

"The room is hidden," James spoke up, "it just wouldn't show up."

"Also, good use of the Homonculous Charm, Ads," Remus smirked, pointing to Adria who joking bowed, "I read about that not too long ago."

"As did I," she nodded, "now thankfully, and excitingly, I think this map is complete."

"It is?!" Sirius asked, wide eyed as he pushed himself over to where Adria was, hovering over where she was in front of the parchment that inked the names of the boys in front of it.

Messrs Moony, Wormtail, Padfoot and Prongs,
Purveyors of Aids to Magical Mischief-
Makers
are proud to present
THE MARAUDERS MAP

"Why does Moony's name get to go first?!"

"Cut him some slack, Prongs, he has to transform into a werewolf every month!"

[A/N helloooooo

Okay so one thing I have to tell you guys is, I'm publishing a new book soon! It's not a fanfic, but I think - hope - you'll all enjoy it ;)

That is the front Cover of the new book, A Stop Within The Stars, and well, basically it is an original version of Poems.

Yes, so the main character will be Adria Hopkins, and will include - most - of the characters from poems, like my oc's but of course not the Marauders, Lily, etc. as they are of course owned by JK Rowling.

I was worried about it at first, seeing as I thought it would be odd writing Adria in a different setting with different - new - characters, but I'm actually really enjoying it.

I have just finished the 3rd chapter and I'm not going to publish it until I know where it is going, but I'm excited for it and I hope you all are too!]
