Chapter 135

"It's a lovely day!" Adria grinned as she walked down the pavement in the city, her hand clutched in Sirius' as it swung lightly, "it's so hot!"

"Takes after you, then," Sirius smirked, watching her groan as she threw her head back, although the very evident smile on her lips showed as she turned to look at him, letting out a laugh as his smirk turned into a grin.

"You're an idiot," she chuckled, shaking her head as he nodded.

"But I'm your idiot," he laughs, quickly leaning closer to her to kiss her cheek, "don't pretend you don't love it."

"Maybe I do, maybe I don't, who really knows," Adria shrugged, laughing as her eyes trailed over the busy streets that the city offered.

Her birthday had just passed, which was lovely she had to admit, and as it was early July they thought it would be nice to go into the city before they would go off to see Alfie's new house, seeing as they hadn't been yet, which was always exciting.

Alfie and Grace, for the most part of their summer that had already past, spent a lot of their time at her house, so seeing theirs wasn't much of an option, and when they weren't at their house, Alfie was at work, and Grace was at her parents' house, seeing as she needed someone to help her for the most part.

"We should go in there," Sirius grinned, pointing to a small ice cream parlour that stuck out amongst the slightly duller buildings with the very colourful exterior, and soon did Adria nod enthusiastically as she pulled on his hand, rushing over to the ice cream parlour just across the road from where they walked previously, "okay, I said go there, not get killed in the process!"

"I haven't had ice cream for ages!" she exclaimed as she pushed open the door, laughing softly when the little bell rang, "I love ice cream!"

"Oh really, I wasn't aware!" Sirius scoffed, closing the door over behind him and watching her rush to the counter, her eyes wide at the amount of flavours and her grin even wider, "I think I'll get strawberry," he teased, watching her turn to him with a glare.

"Don't you dare," she warned, wagging her finger in his face, and jumping back when he bit her finger, yes, literally, bit her finger.

"This is so good," Adria gasped as she took a seat at the small counter right at the window in the small parlour, eating the ice cream from the tub, sitting it on the counter in front of her and watching Sirius do the same, "I love chocolate ice cream."

"Mint chocolate chip is better," Sirius sang, taking a large scoop from the small plastic spoon and watching her eyes narrow, furiously shaking her head.

"It is not," she huffed, "I know for a fact that if we asked our friends, they'd agree that chocolate is the best!"

"Well, actually, I can speak for the boys," Sirius spoke after he had rid the ice cream from his mouth, "James' favourite is mint chocolate chip too, I'm not just saying that, Remus' is cookie dough, and Peter's is caramel."

"Oh, I want to try cookie dough, I trust Remus," Adria nodded, watching as Sirius laughed, shaking his head.

"Can you believe we will be in seventh year after summer," Sirius sighed, disbelief evidently on his features, "it's crazy, it's going by far too fast."

"I know," Adria exclaimed, "it really is crazy, can you believe it's almost been three years since you and I got together?!"

"Well three years on the day before Christmas break," Sirius smirked, reaching for her hand, "it doesn't feel as though it's been that long, I feel as though every time I look at you it's like I'm falling in love with you all over again."

"Oh, merlin you're going to kill me," Adria whispered, shaking her head, "this isn't fair, Sirius, I'm a hopeless romantic, I've learned to accept it, but if you keep being this cute then I'm going to just melt!"

He couldn't help but laugh as he pressed a kiss to her cheek, "I can't help it, you're too amazing!"

"Stop it!"

"I can't!" he grinned, "you signed up for my cheesiness when you asked me to be your boyfriend, so technically, this is your fault!"

"Oh sure," Adria nodded, "blame the innocent one!"

"Innocent my bloody arse!" Sirius let out a laugh, shaking his head whilst she glared at him, "I need to talk to you about something," he whispered, suddenly becoming a lot quieter.

"What do you need to talk about?" she asked, her head titled as she stared at him, moving her hand to cup his cheek, tracing soft patterns on the top of his cheekbone whilst he leaned his head into her hand.

"It's nothing bad," he reassured her, "well I bloody hope it's not."

She let out a soft laugh as she gestured for him to continue, and with a deep breath, he spoke, "well we're getting older, I suppose, and I know that I love you, with all my heart, until the moon and back, and a stop within the stars, so I was thinking, and only if you want to, after Hogwarts, I think we should move in together, can you imagine that? just us, having a space to ourselves!"

Adria couldn't help but feel her heart swelling and racing all at the one time, and as her grin widened, Sirius could feel the nerves escape his body, "oh merlin, I would love that," she whispered, "but what about money? Unfortunately, we actually do need that, and then there's my dad, with Alfie gone, he only has Benji and what if he and Arden decide to move out on their own, or Arden wants to go back to her aunts and he goes with her, merlin as if I'd bloody let him, and then there's Jude, what about him?" she sighed, a frown on her lips as she thought about the responsibilities she was piling onto herself, "I'd love to move in with you, oh merlin, I've thought about it so much, it's a dream of mine, really, imagine a little apartment with only us, it would be perfect, how fun would that be! but we have so much time for that, so much, we could even save for a while and live with dad, and then move out, when Jude is a little bigger?"

"That sounds perfect," he whispered, moving himself forward to capture her lips, "I just want to be with you, that's all I want, is you, forever."

She smiled as she nodded, squeezing his hand when she found it, "I think money is the biggest issue," she mumbled, unsure if she liked that she felt far older than she was, "I don't want to ask dad for money, y'know? But I just don't want to settle down into a job so quickly, especially when I don't even know what I want to do, I don't want to get a job that I'll be in for the rest of my life, I'm too young for that much responsibility!" she couldn't help but laugh, "it's terrifying right now, and no one likes to talk about it but the wizarding world, we're basically at war, or on the brink of it anyway, Marlene caught her family talking about something Dumbledore is planning, but who knows what is going through his head!"

"I know," Sirius whispered, nodding as he squeezes her hand comfortingly, "we'll be alright, everything will work okay in the end and that crazy lord guy will go away!"

"I hope so, I don't want to admit this, Sirius, but I-I'm scared, he's after muggleborn's, he's after our families, what am I going to do? I need to fight, for my friends, for my family, I don't want them in danger because of me-"

"It is not because of you, Adria, don't you dare say that," Sirius spoke sternly, shaking his head, "he is using fear for power, we will get through this, I will protect our family if it's the last thing I do, and our friends, and merlin, I'd fight until my last breath for you."

"I will too," she whispered, leaning closer to him and throwing her arms around his neck.

-

"I love it!" Adria exclaimed as she walked through the door of the small apartment, it was bright and airy as she walked in, with light wood decorating the floor and a beige couch right in front of a small TV that used to be in Alfie's room, she grinned as she hugged Alfie tightly, a laugh escaping her lips as she watched him hug Sirius quickly before rushing off through an archway.

"We just finished unpacking yesterday," Grace laughed, shaking her head, "we've been here since February and it's took us so long, but apparently, I wasn't much help."

"You weren't!" Alfie exclaimed, carefully walking with the two mugs in his hand, handing them to the two who just walked through the door with a cheeky grin, "I made that all by myself!"

"All by yourself?!" Adria repeated, teasingly, "oh wow, Alfie, you have surely grown!"

"He's actually a really good cook, believe it or not," Grace scoffs, turning to give him a cheeky smirk, "he made me soup the other day and I wasn't sick!"

"You loved that soup!" Alfie exclaimed, glaring at her until she moved closer to him, pressing a kiss to his cheek and ruffling his hair in the process.

"Of course, I did," she giggled turning to see Adria with her head titled and a wide grin on her lips.

"You two are too cute, I can't, I just can't!" she exclaimed, moving to sit the tea down on the coaster on the small coffee table and soon took off her coat, placing it on the small coat rack near the door, "this place is so cute, too!"

"It's so fun, too!" Grace exclaimed, "he steals the quilt, though, but I'm used to that," she teased, nudging Alfie, who turned to glare at her.

"I'm sorry, but your stomach is the one stealing quilts!" Alfie protested, watching her turn to him with her eyebrow raised, "I don't mind though, of course."

"Mhmm," Grace nodded, moving to hug Sirius who laughed when he realised she had forgotten to.

"She's bloody scary," Alfie shook his head, standing much closer to his sister whilst he eyed his girlfriend, "bloody hormones I'm telling you, don't ever get pregnant, I'd have to pray for Sirius."

Adria scoffed as she slapped his chest, glaring at him as she turned to him, "you're a bloody arse, you know that?!"

"But you love me, anyway, so it's all good," Alfie smirked, opening his arms which she walked into, her arms around his waist and a smile on her lips.

"I'm so bloody happy for you, Alfie," she whispered, "and so proud, I'm so excited for my niece or nephew!"

"They're going to love you," Alfie laughed softly, "can't bloody wait until you and Sirius leave school, though, then we can have a baby sitter!"

"Anytime, obviously," she giggled, tightening her grip around him, "when did you get so old, I don't like it."

"Neither do I," he whispered, patting her back softly, "but it's fun, we can make it fun, right?"

"I'm sure we'll find a way," she laughed, "you're going to be a dad, Alf, it's crazy, I can remember that time on the beach as though it was last week, when you were telling me about how terrible your friends where, and then only a few hours later do I turn around to see you bloody snogging someone!"

"That someone being my beautiful girlfriend, who is carrying my soon to be beautiful baby," Alfie smiled, "funny how life works, isn't it?"

"You're right," she nodded, patting his cheek as she pulled away, looking around the house, she finally turned back to him with a teasing smirk upon her lips as she spoke, "it looks like Alfie finally got a life."
