Chapter 134

The week after Adria had finished up for the holidays had been particularly uneventful, currently, as it was only nine in the morning was she sleeping in bed, tangled beneath the quilts and blankets draped over her bed with Sirius beside her. His breath fanned her forehead as they slept, his arms tightly around her and her hands clutching his shirt unknowingly to either of them.

But then, on the particularly sunny day, when the sun crept through the small peak of her curtains, shining right at Adria's closed eyes, did they soon flutter open, making her turn her head to shield her eyes from the bright light. She smiles as she took in the sight of Sirius, his eyes closed and his mouth parted slightly, and with a soft giggle leaving her lips did she move to kiss his parted lips, feeling him stir ever so slightly until, with furrowed eyebrows did his eyes open, taking sight of a grinning Adria and soon realise what had happened.

"Can't say that isn't the best way to wake up," he smiles, his voice deep and raspy for it was morning time, and Adria can't help but giggle as she presses a kiss to his forehead, reaching for his hand under the quilt and lacing their fingers together.

"Morning," she whispers, feeling rather content with the warm sun hitting her back through the curtains and the added comfort of Sirius' arms around her, "did you have a good sleep?"

"You know, it's odd, actually," Sirius smirks, leaning down to kiss her nose, "but whenever you're in my arms I always seem to have an amazing sleep."

"Well I guess I just have to sleep in your arms forever then won't I?" she grinned, "we can't have you having a bad sleep!"

"No, we definitely can't," he speaks, his smirk widening as he captures her lips once again, rolling them over so that he hovered over her and her laugh filled his ears, playing his favourite song, "guess what?"

"What?"

"Remember that surprise that I mentioned back at Hogwarts?" Sirius asked, his head titled ever so slightly and soon did he lean down to kiss her quickly.

"I believe I recall, yes," she nodded, her eyebrow arched as she looked at him.

"Well I wished to tell you on your birthday, seeing as it's not long away, but I can't really do that," he sighed, shaking his head whilst she frowned.

"Why can't you?" she laughs, although rather confused.

"Because it's tonight."

Her eyes widen as she pushes him off of her, turning to him with her mouth parted, "tonight?! I don't even know what it is!"

He can't help but grin as he sits up, moving to pick up the jumper that he had taken off last night and slipping it over his head, "you'll see what it is soon!"

"Okay first of all, you did not need to put that jumper on," she huffed, watching his grin widen, "and second of all, that is so unfair!"

"Well unfair is not my middle name but it could be!" he laughs, pushing himself up and reaching for her hand, "you'll know soon!"

"I hate surprises!" she sang as she took his hand, allowing him to guide her out of her room, and running a hand through her messy hair.

"Yes, but you don't hate me," he smiles as he turns to her, pulling her closer to him as they descended the stairs.

"Unfortunately," she grumbles, glaring at him, "maybe I do, though, this could be third year!"

"Mhmm," he nodded, rolling his eyes as he entered the kitchen.

"Grace!" Adria exclaimed, grinning as she let go of Sirius' hand and rushed over to her, throwing her arms around the girl who couldn't help but laugh.

"Adria!" she smiled, throwing her arms around the girl, "can you believe how big I am?!"

"Is that a trick question?" asked Adria, her eyes narrowed as Grace laughed, shaking her head as she took Alfie's hand.

"No, it's not, actually," she smirked, "I feel like a balloon."

"Well you're a gorgeous balloon," Alfie grinned, attacking her cheek with a kiss as she laughed, "so have you told her yet?"

"You know too?!" Adria exclaimed, turning to Sirius with a glare whilst he raised his hands in defence, a smirk on his lips as he pulled her towards him, "this is unfair when do I get to know?!"

"When your dad wakes up," Sirius grins, watching her throw her head back and moving to kiss her lips.

"Oi, Black," Alfie glared, "she's still my little sister!"

"Oh, shush you," Grace scoffed, rolling her eyes as she pushed him, "they're adorable, leave them alone!"

"Yeah leave us alone!" Adria exclaims, pushing herself up onto the counter and grinning when Sirius automatically moved to stand in front of her. She wrapped her legs around his waist as he faced the two in front of them and rested her head on his, a grin spread across her lips when Douglas walked through the door, "okay, now tell me!"

"You haven't told her yet?!" asked Douglas as he moved towards the kettle, quickly filling it with water before placing it back in the holder, "bloody hell, I don't know how she hasn't persuaded you!"

"She tried her best but I wanted you to see her reaction," Sirius laughed, watching Douglas turn to grin at him.

"You're going to love it, Addy, it was all Sirius' idea," Douglas smiled.

"Well that's not true, we were talking about it and I thought you'd love it, so obviously, I had to get you it," Sirius smirked, turning around to look at her and laughing as she glared.

"This is all lovely, but I'd actually like to know what it is," Adria pouts.

"Okay fine," Sirius chuckles, "we are going to see people who you love, tonight!"

"What?!" she exclaims, "who?!"

She threw her head back as Sirius grinned, letting go of her legs as he sang at the top of his voice, allowing her eyebrows to furrow as she listened to the song as though that had any sort of clue, but the song was completely random, it was a song by The Beatles, her favourite band, of course, but what that had to do with anyone she loved, she didn't know.

"I'm so confused!" she exclaimed, watching Sirius attempting to dance as he sang terribly, moving closer to her whilst Grace and Alfie shared a look, laughing as they took in her reaction, still completely oblivious to what was going on.

"Seriously, Ads, think!" Douglas exclaimed, leaning against the counter now with a mug of tea warming up his hands and an amused smile taking over his lips.

"I don't-"

Alfie cut her off, finally having enough of her confusion and finally he shouted, "oh bloody hell, Addy, you're going to see The Beatles!"

"What?!" she screeches, her eyes wide as she looked at Sirius, her hand clasped over her mouth as she shared looks with her family, all of which were laughing loudly, even Benji who had just entered the kitchen but quickly realised what was going on with the reaction.

"Are you serious?!" she shrieked, watching Sirius nod as he moved closer, almost falling down when she jumped on him from the counter, her legs around his waist and her arms around his neck as she pressed kisses to every inch of his face.

"Well I am Serious," he grinned, "I'm also Sirius," he couldn't help the laugh that fell from his lips when she done the same, actually laughing at the terrible joke through her excitement.

"I can't believe it!" she shouted, tightening her grip around him whilst he moved to support her legs, laughing loudly as she squealed, "are you kidding, are you kidding me on?!"

"No of course not," Sirius laughed, watching her lift her head to look at him, seeing the wide grin on her lips was enough to make his heart swell, "it's for your birthday, I suppose, consider it an early birthday present."

"Thank you, thank you, thank you!" she laughs, unable to care that her family was in the room as she took hold of each side of his face, pressing her lips to his whilst they all protested around her.

"Oh, leave them alone!" Grace exclaims, laughing as she glares at the three.

-

"That was amazing!" Adria screeches as they exit the venue, her eyes wide as she fixes the collar of the denim jacket she had on, pulling Sirius aside as they move between a small alley way, which definitely wasn't safe as it was so dark out.

"Addy, what are you doing?!" he exclaims, watching her rummage through her bag and pull out the t-shirt she had just bought, "don't you dare!"

"I want to wear it!" she glares, ready to take off her denim jacket when Sirius stops her.

"You are not taking your clothes off just to put on a t-shirt," Sirius warns her, grabbing the shirt and putting it back into the bag, "you can wear that every day if you want, but one, it is bloody freezing you could catch a cold, and two, anyone could bloody see you!"

"Not if you cover me," she laughed, patting his cheek as she grabbed his hand, "but I suppose you're right!"

"That doesn't happen often," he jokes, watching her turn to him with a laugh as they walked down the brightly lit pavement.

"Y'know something, Sirius," she grins, stopping at an empty wall which he soon leaned against, his hands in the pockets of his leather jacket and she couldn't help but notice just how good he looked, "you don't realise how bloody smart you are!"

"Adri-"

"No, I'm serious," she cut him off, a wide grin on her lips but her eyes narrowed when she covered his mouth to stop him from making the joke, "you are so intelligent, you passed your O.W.Ls with ease, and you are literally a genius and yet you make jokes that you aren't smart or that I am smarter than you, when it's so untrue, you are so smart!"

"You are in a weird mood, Adria," he laughed, pulling on her hand and halting when she stopped him again.

"I'm just really happy!" she giggled, dancing around him, "I can't believe you done this for me, this must've cost so much!"

"Your dad helped, I mean, I promised that I'll pay him back even though he protests but he still helped," he grinned, taking her hand and pulling her into him, "I'd do anything for you, Adria Hopkins."

"I'd do anything for you Sirius Black," she giggled, pushing herself onto her tiptoes to kiss his nose, "that was amazing, they sang all of the best songs!"

"Yes, I'm surprised you still have a voice after come together," Sirius smirked, watching her laugh loudly.

"Oh ha, ha," she scoffed, "you're so funny, come on, it's freezing!"

"I love you like this," he smirked, tightening his grip on her hand as they walked down the busy street, even at night was London busy, actually, busier, really, it was beautiful with the buildings lit perfectly, and even in the city could the stars be seen, "well I love you like anything, but you're so cute!"

She stops as she looks at him, seeing the wide grin on his lips she can't help but laugh as she moves closer to him, "thank you, Sirius, for tonight, it was so perfect, and if there's one person in this world that I'd want to scream The Beatles songs with, then it's you."

He didn't think his grin could possibly widen, but it seemed as though she made it happen as he guided her face to look at him, seeing her eyes filled with love he was sure his where the same and soon he whispered, "promise me we'll be together forever?"

She couldn't help but laugh as she stared at him, "Sirius-"

He cut her off, his wide smile turning so serious that she couldn't help herself as she fully turned, taking his face into her hands and pressing her lips to his, softly, but so surely, and soon did she nod, her voice barely a whisper as she spoke, "I promise."

The smile that broke out onto his face was enough to melt her heart, the way she spoke was with so much certainty that he had no choice to believe her, he was so in love with her, so in love, and he felt as though he needed her to know that, no matter how many times he had told her, "I love you, Adria Hopkins."

"To the moon and back?" she asks as the giggles fall from her lips, and her hand rests on the back of his neck whilst their foreheads rest together and their breaths tangle with each other, and soon does he nod.

"And a stop within the stars."
