Chapter 108

"Can we do something during summer this year?" asked Adria as Sirius' head lay on her stomach and her hands traced small patterns on his forehead near his hairline, occasionally would she run her hands through his hair softly before they would trace back to the skin of his head.

He hummed as he turned to look at her, seeing the anxious look on her features he merely frowned, "like what?"

"Well, I was thinking," she trailed off, breathing heavily as she done so, "we couldn't tell anyone, well not my dad anyway I don't think he'd approve, but I was thinking that we could maybe get tattoos."

"Tattoos?" he repeated, his eyebrow raised and a smirk taking over his lips, "Adria Belle Hopkins, what have I done to you?"

"Oh, shut up," she grumbled, rolling her eyes as she sat herself up, "there's a slight problem, though."

"Which is?"

"Well, we need to be eighteen, so either I need to buy myself some heels and force Mary over to do my make up or we go to someone willing to give us tattoos without an age limit," she shrugged, a sheepish smile on her lips as she informed him.

"Well, would it be magic tattoos?" he asked, her shoulders slumped as she thought, she had never even thought of a magic tattoo before, but it sounded rather exciting.

"It should be!" she nodded her head excitedly, "I'd love that!"

"What would you get?" he asked, watching as her head bowed and the blush attacked her cheek.

"I'd get a few, but first, I want a paw print," she mumbled, shyly tucking her hair behind her ear and sparing a look at him.

"Why?" he whispered, inching closer to her as he done so and she let out a sigh.

"For you, I guess," she shrugged, "to symbolise you, because I love you, but I guess if you decide to break my heart then it can symbolise my animagus."

"The only way I'd break your heart is if I took it out your chest," Sirius rolled his eyes, "I want a light bulb, turned off, I suppose."

"Turned off, why?" she asked, her eyebrow raised and a laugh escaping her lips.

"Doesn't Adria mean dark?" he asked, watching as she bit her bottom lip, a small smile attacking her features.

"Sirius," she sighed, "you know how we are young-"

"Do you love me, Ads?"

"Of course, I do, don't be silly!" she exclaimed, her eyes wide as she looked at him.

"And I love you, with all my heart until I die, and you know what, we keep going on about how young we are, but why does that matter, why does the day I was born symbolise how much I love something. I could live until I was thirty, or three hundred, but every day until then I would love you all the same, I don't want to spend my life without you, because it just wouldn't be a life worth living, now would it? I'm so in love with you, that it hurts, Adria, I can't stop thinking about you whenever you're not there, and bloody hell, even when you are there I'm still thinking of you, I just can't stop, the only way you are ever getting rid of me is if you force me, but I wouldn't leave you without a fight, Ads!" he huffed, his fist curled in frustration, not to her, but for the fact that he was so painfully in love with her, and it seemed as though their age was the biggest issue of it, "if we get magic tattoos, I'm getting the light bulb, and when it's tapped, it turns on, because although you're name means dark, merlin you are the brightest light in my life."

"God that was the cheesiest thing you have ever said," she whispered, shaking her head as she pulled him closer to her by his shirt, pressing her lips to his and wrapping her legs around his waist, "but I love it, and I love you."

"I love you too, so much," he smirked, pressing soft kisses against the skin of her jaw whilst she couldn't help but laugh.

"I've changed my mind," she mumbled, biting her lip at the feeling of his lips on her skin, "if we get magic tattoos then I'm getting one of a cat chasing a dog," she couldn't help but laugh at the thought, "and then they have a little mind of their own so when they're tired of running they like to rest close to each other on my heart."

"And you call me cheesy," Sirius scoffed, his hands at either side of her from where he hovered over her, a laugh escaping his lips when she grinned widely.

"Hey, guys, me, Pete and Remus are going- what is going on?!" James' voice screeched, seeing Sirius basically on top of Adria and her legs around his waist, his eyes widened.

"Noth-" before Adria could even speak, James had run out of the room - of course, the only way to do that was with his eyes closed and his hand over his eyes, which resulted in him walking into the wall multiple times before he was finally out of the room - leaving Adria and Sirius to share a look, unable to help themselves when they both busted out laughing.

"He is so bloody over dramatic, that boy, I swear," Adria shook her head, pushing Sirius off of her so she could stand up, "come on, let's calm down bambi," she rolled her eyes as she grabbed Sirius' hand, pulling him off of the bed and in the direction of the door.

"Does it feel like we have a child to you?" asked Sirius, earning a loud laugh from Adria as she nodded, "can I ask you something?"

"Sure dude," Adria giggled at the use of the word, something she hadn't actually used in a sentence she was sure, ever.

"What was the other tattoos you would get?" Sirius asked, leaning against the wall whilst she leaned against the door frame, her bottom lip between her teeth as she let out a sigh.

"I'd get a Ferris wheel with J and D tattooed at the bottom of my back, I think, because mum and dad met at the carnival," she smiled up at him, not even realising what her smile done to him, paired with her wide eyes, "if it was a magic tattoo, I'd make sure the wheel moved, like my dad's love for my mum, always continuing."

"Oh, you're going to make me cry," Sirius whispered, watching as she laughed but the tears clearly welled in her eyes, "come here."

She pushed herself off of the door frame, throwing her arms around his neck tightly as she done so, "I'd get a tattoo for all of my family, if I could, that is, maybe someday."

"I'd get one too, for my family," Sirius mumbled into her hair, feeling her attempting to move to stare at him but he tightened his grip before he continued, "I'd get a moon for Remus, a worm for Peter just to piss him off and antlers for James, and obviously the light bulb for you, but I'm stealing your tattoo idea too, hope you don't mind," he teased, feeling her relax into him.

"I'd get the word idiots tattooed with four stick figures under it, of course looking like you four," Adria teased, "I love our family, as long as our family involves Lily, and Marlene, and Dorcas, and Mary, and Finn, and Milo, and Lia, and Blair, and Ard-."

"I love our family too, but I think that's a lot of tattoos, now let's go calm James down before he has a heart attack," Sirius grinned, taking her hand and pulling her along down the stairs.

"Finished?" Remus joked as they descended the stairs, earning an eyeroll from Adria who picked up a pillow to throw at him.

"We didn't even do anything," Adria rolled her eyes, smacking James atop his head, "this one just likes to be annoying, obviously."

"I saw what I saw!" he huffed, turning to face her whilst she glared at him.

"You saw Sirius and I hugging," Adria grumbled, falling onto the couch beside Remus whose shoulder she placed her head upon, "I swear I'm forcing Lily into liking you if it stops you from being a bloody idiot."

"Nothing can stop him from being an idiot," Peter scoffed, earning a laugh from the three, Adria, Sirius and Remus whilst James glared at the boy.

"Oh, shove off wormy."

"Are you excited to go home?" Milo asked as he, Finn and Adria sat in the train compartment, a grin evident on her lips as she nodded enthusiastically.

"Yes!" she nodded, "Sirius and I are doing something exciting but I can't tell you what," she giggled, shaking her shoulders whilst the two shared a look.

"Do we need to have the talk?" Finn asked, watching her eyes widen as she shook her head furiously.

"No, we absolutely do not!" she squeaked, her cheeks turning red whilst the two boys laughed loudly, "I'm glad my humiliation makes you happy!"

"You are so innocent sometimes," Finn scoffed.

"Coming from the boy who told me I was the opposite!" Adria exclaimed, shaking her head with a laugh as she leaned against the wall opposite to the compartment door, watching as people trailed up and down the hallway quietly, or not so quietly.

"You have your days!" Finn exclaimed, earning a laugh from both Milo and Adria.

"Oh shush," Adria laughed, rolling her eyes as she asked, "what are your plans for summer, then?"

"I don't think your innocent mind wants to know," Finn teased, wiggling his eyebrows whilst Milo nudged him, biting his lip to hold in his laughter as he pressed his head into Finn's shoulder and Adria's eyes narrowed at him.

"I hate you," she grumbled, shaking her head, "really, Finnegan, you mean nothing to me."

"I mean everything to you, Adria!" Finn exclaimed, "remember our pact," he smirked, reaching forward so that she could wrap her pinky around his.

"Don't worry, I remember," she giggled, rolling her eyes whilst Milo frowned.

"What pact?"

"We made a pact up that if you and Finn aren't married by forty, and Sirius and I aren't married by forty then Finn and I are going to just break up with you and Sirius and get married ourselves," Adria shrugged, giggling when Milo frowned.

"You'd marry me?" asked Milo, turning to Finn whose smile widened as he nodded.

"If I could, of course I would," he grinned, "I'd marry you right now."

"I think we're a bit too young for that," Milo laughed, wrapping his arm around Finn's waist tightly.

"Always thinking of the logic," Finn shook his head, "one day we're going to do something so spontaneous that you aren't going to recognise yourself, but you'll love it."

"Can I join?" asked Adria.

"Obviously," the boy's spoke in unison, earning a laugh from Adria whilst they shared a look.

"Jude is almost one," Adria whispered after a few minutes of the three sitting in silence, "It's almost been a year since, um, m-"

"You don't need to acknowledge it, Adria," Milo whispered, his arm wrapped around Finn, who couldn't help but feel rather sad for his best friend across from him.

"I know," she whispered, nodding her head, "but, I suppose I do, don't I? it happened, it's done, and the thing is, you don't think it's going to happen to you, and then it does and it feels as though your soul, or your heart is being grabbed by someone's fist and just crushed to pulp, really, it was all so sudden, I feel as though I didn't have enough time with her, with mum, because I was always away, I mean she's dead, she's bloody dead, and I'm still here, and I've finally realised that it's not my fault, that I couldn't do anything about it, and she wouldn't want me to feel guilty for living my life, because she'd feel guilty if I wasn't."

Adria laughed softly, ignoring her tears welling in her eyes as she shook her head, biting her lip so much that she could taste the metallic taste drawn from the skin, but she didn't care all that much about that, "I hope she'd be proud of me."

"Are you kidding, Ads?" Milo asked, leaning over to grab her hand, which she took with her own, feeling his thumb swipe over her knuckles comfortingly.

"Oh, merlin, Ads, she'd be filled with pride to see you now," Finn shook his head, a smile adorned on his lips as he looked over at her, and she met his gaze, allowing her smile to widen, and finally she nodded.

Because Judy would be proud of Adria.

Because for once in the young Gryffindor's life, the mysterious, shy girl, or the quiet, awkward girl, the girl who could barely pass potions way back in third year, or the girl who hadn't a single friend, well that girl, Adria Belle Hopkins, well she was proud of herself.

[A/N Picasso strikes again with Adria's tattoo of the four boys

The squiggles on Remus are his scars😂]
