I saw her cry away her tears that night,

Her tears sparkled and caught my sight.

Droplet tears turned into a streaming lake,

Her eyes were swollen, her heart in ache.

Her sniffles played a melody to my ears,

She tried to do nothing but hide her fears.

"Being afraid was a mental sickness" he said,

He made her cry and wish she were dead.

Imagine your own father being so cruel,

As to making "no crying" a house rule.

So silently she cries soon hoping to die,

"I'll never be enough, so why do I try?"

Nothing I say will make her feel worth it,

I don't know what to do to make her fit.

It's hard to look at her, the sadness in her eyes,

The laughs and smiles she wears as a disguise.

All the feelings in her eyes she hides,

She's just tired of  everyone's lies.
