6 WEEKS LATER

Quentin was in jail awaiting trial, but kept his word. He told his boys to back off, so they were no longer trying to hurt Damitri. They did however, start a new rival with Dorian because he was trying to take Quentin's place. Other than that, things were sort of back to normal.

Arnell was lying in bed as she watched Damitri tap away on his phone. She tried looking at his screen but he moved it away from her. "Aight, nigga. Now you done goofed."

"What?" He laughed. Arnell rolled her eyes at him. He knew exactly what he was doing.

"Lemme see ya phone." She said holding out her hand.

"Huh?" He said. He was trying not to smile. Arnell hated how much he played around.

"Boy, if you don't gimme ya damn phone." Arnell said snatching it away from him. She put in his password and began looking through it.

"You don't trust me?" He asked lying back on his bed.

"Hell to the not. Witcho sneaky ass." Arnell went through all of his apps. He was just ordering some damn shoes.

"You feel stupid, don't you?" Damitri smiled.

"You look stupid." Arnell shot back. "With ya dumb ass face." She tossed him his phone back.

"Wow." He said sitting up. "I suggest you stop talkin' shit now before I really get in dat ass."

"The only time you will get any ass around here, is when ya finger slip through the toilet paper, lil ugly dude." She stuck her tongue out at him.

"Lil girl, I will really flame yo ass." Damitri told her. "Speakin' of flames, it look like you been dancin' in fire with no shoes on." Arnell's mouth dropped open. "Yo feet really look like somebody tapped danced with cleats all over them hoes. Yo feet look tired. Yo feet goin' through it. Yo feet look old. Yo feet lookin' like all they life they had to fight. Yo feet look like they walked along side wit Harriet Tubman in the Underground Railroad."

"Aight, Meech. Shit." She said pouting. He was really going at it.

"I told you you ain't want it." He laughed.

"My feet cute." She said staring down at them. She wiggled her toes on his lap.

"Who told you dat? Stevie Wonder?" He pushed her feet off of him. She sucked her teeth at him. "Aight, I'm done." He chuckled. "I was just playin', baby." He said kissing her forehead. He pushed Arnell back and climbed on top of her. "You mad at me?" He asked while kissing her.

"Nah." She laughed. She wasn't even the slightest bit mad. She could take a joke.

They were kissing for awhile before he reached over to the night stand and pulled a condom out of the drawer. Arnell took his shirt off as he put the condom on. "Fuck." He groaned as he slid into her. She dug her nails in her back as he went in and out of her.

She about to climax when she heard a snapping sound. "Damn, the condom broke ." He told her. "Want me to--"

"No, it's fine." She cut him off. "Just keep goin'." She moaned. Arnell wrapped her legs around him.

Arnell could feel herself getting closer and closer. She gasped as Damitri began sucking on her neck. It was truly her weak spot. She finally came and Damitri wasn't far behind her. He rolled off of her and panted. He looked over at Arnell who was already knocked out cold, he did the same. Damitri woke up to a phone call and began staggering around the room. "Be there in a min." He hung up the phone and sat down on the edge of the bed to put his shoes on. He stared at her for a moment as she lied asleep naked. "Arnell?" He shook her.

"Hmm?" She rolled over in her sleep.

"I gotta go handle some business." He said while getting up. "Come lock the door." Arnell smacked her lips. He was always leaving at random times to handle 'business'.

"Actually, can you drop me off at home?" She asked. She rested her head on her hand.

"Yeah, okay." He agreed. "But I gotta go right now."

"Kay, I'll only be a minute." She told him while getting up. She wrapped the sheet around her and limped her way to the bathroom.

"You aight?" He laughed.

"Just a little sore." She laughed back.

"I wore that ass out, huh?" He joked. Arnell looked at him and rolled her eyes.

"Boy.." She mumbled.

After Arnell finished getting dressed, they got in the car and headed to her house.

"After I'm done, you want me to scoop you?" He asked.

"Actually, I haven't been home in awhile, I think I'll just stay." She told him.

He nodded his head. "Aight, hit my line if you change your mind." He said as he pulled into her driveway.

"Text me later?" She said.

"Yeah." He said placing a kiss on her lips. "I love you." He told her.

"Love you too." She smiled before closing the car door. Damitri watched Arnell go inside of the house before leaving.

"Aye, Um, I thought you were gonna be over at Meech's." August said when she closed the door.

"And now I'm home." she said. "I live here too, ya know." The door bell rang in the middle of their conversation.

"I'll get it."August said rushing to the door. Arnell made it there first.

"I Got it." Arnell told him. August sighed as she got on her tippy toes to look out of the peep hole. She opened the door.

"Is Anthony here?" The female asked.

"Nah, who you?" Arnell shot back with a slight attitude. She wanted to know this girl was asking for her brother.

"...I'm his girlfriend." Arnell opened her mouth to say something but August walked up behind her.

"Oh, hey Belle." He said pushing Arnell to the side. "Anthony will be back in like ten minutes, you can stay and wait." The girl nodded and August let her in.

Arnell shut the door and followed her brother into the kitchen. She sat on top of island and stared at him. "Who dat?"

"Ant's girlfriend." He told her. He opened the freezer and took a package of meat out.

"How come I ain't never met her?" Arnell asked crossing her arms.

"Cause yo ass never around." He explained. Arnell rolled her eyes. "You know you got a big ass hickey on yo neck?" August asked. It kind of caught her off gaurd. "Actually, you got a couple."

"Nah, see what had happened was--"

"Shut the fuck up, Arnell." August said cutting her off. Arnell busted out laughing. She knew August didn't want to hear anything she had to say.

"Well, Ima go introduce myself." She said while hopping off of the island. She made her way to the living room where Anthony's girlfriend was.

"Hi, I'm Arnell." She said sitting down.

"Belle." She simply smiled.

"Sorry for bein' a bitch earlier."

"No, it's okay. You're his twin sister, right?" Belle asked.

"Yeah."

"He talks about you all the time." Belle said smiling.

"What you mean?" Arnell raised her eyebrows.

"Hey, baby." Anthony said coming into house. "Come here so I can show you somethin'."

"Bae, me and your sister was talking." Belle told him while looking at Arnell.

"She can wait." He said also looking at Arnell.

"Sorry." Belle apologized.

"It's fine." She said to Belle. "Hi to you too, Anthony." She rolled her eyes at her brother.

He ignored her greeting. "You going back to Meech's later or..?"

"Why everybody worried bout if Ima be with Damitri or not?"

"It was just a question, lil boy." Anthony shot back.

Arnell shook her head and went upstairs to take a shower. After she was finished, she went back into her room where Maggie was sitting on her bed. She looked up when she heard Arnell walk in. "What you doin' here?"

"Let's go to the mall." Maggie said jingling her keys.

"I just got home." Arnell sighed. Arnell just wanted to stay at home and chill. She slowly walked over to her dresser.

"Bitch, why you walkin' like that?" Maggie asked.

"Um, my legs are sore." She told her. "Them squats were no joke."

"Bitch, you ain't worked out a day in your life." Maggie said cutting her off.

Arnell busted out laughing. "I'm forreal."

"Mhmm." Maggie crossed her arms. She could tell when Arnell was lying.

"Aight don't believe me." She shrugged. "But don't say shit when I start gettin' thick." Arnell said sticking out her tongue. Maggie just stared her down. "Stop lookin' at me like that." Arnell told her.

"So we goin' or not?" Maggie asked.

"I just wanna chill." Arnell sighed.

"We can chill afterwards." Maggie explained. "I really need some shoes."

Arnell agreed and got dressed. It wouldn't hurt her if she looked around too. She went downstairs to find August.

"I'm going out with Maggie." Arnell told August.

"Okay, call me when you on your way home."

"Why?" She asked. She started to get curious because all of a sudden he wanted to know her whereabouts.

"Just... Do it." He told her.

"Okay." She shrugged.

Arnell and Maggie got into her car and they drove to the mall. Arnell followed Maggie into the Foot Locker. She sat down on one of the benches and pulled out her phone.

"We gotta stop runnin' into each other like this." Arnell looked up and saw Trinity smiling down at her. She just stared at him. Maggie walked over to her and broke her trance.

"Oh, this is my friend, Maggie." Arnell said hoping to break the awkward silence.

"Hey." He greeted her. He was still staring Arnell down.

"Wassup." Maggie said walking passed them. She wasn't the least bit interested. She was too busy trying to find some shoes.

"Runnin into each other like what?" She asked him but soon regretted it. She was just so curious as to what he meant.

"Like we're strangers." He said.

"We are strangers." Arnell told him.

"Well give me your number so we can change that." He smirked.

"I got a boyfriend." She shook her head.

"Who, Damitri?" Trinity scoffed.

Arnell scrunched her face up at him. "How you know his name?" Arnell questioned.

"That's the guy you were at the restaurant with, right? Everyone knows who he is." Trinity told her. "He think he runs the damn city."

"No he don't." Arnell shot back. She involuntary rolled her eyes.

She didn't like when people talked about Damitri like he was a bad guy. People were always telling her how dangerous he was when they didn't even know him.

"I didn't mean to make you mad." Trinity said throwing his hands up. "I'm sorry."

"It's fine, see ya around." She told him while tucking her hair behind her ear. She walked away from him made her way over to Maggie. Maggie was still running around the store in search of some shoes.

"What you think about these shoes?" Maggie asked holding them up.

"They aight." She said not even looking at them. She was thinking about what just happened.

"You didn't even look." Maggie said.

"I said they aight, Mag. Damn." Arnell shot back.

"Ugh," Maggie scoffed. "All I did was ask you if like them, don't get no altitude."

"Attitude?" Arnell corrected.

"I said what I said." Maggie said. Arnell laughed at her friend.

"I'm sorry." Arnell apologized. She took the shoe from Maggie and examined it. "I like them." She smiled. Maggie nodded her head before putting them back in the box.

"We chillin'?" Maggie asked as she handed her debit card to the cashier. "I ask again cause you be changin' ya mind on me."

"Yes." Arnell nodded.

"Okay, but let's go to my house." Maggie insisted. "I can't stand Ant girlfriend."

"Why not?" Arnell asked. Arnell only just met her, but she didn't notice any bad vibes from her.

"I don't know," Maggie shrugged. "She seem...off."

"How many times have you met her?" Arnell asked. She was lowkey upset that everyone knew about Belle and she didn't.

"Just a couple of times." Maggie told. "Enough to know that I don't like the bitch." Arnell shrugged. She didn't know Belle enough so she was willing to give her a chance.

After Maggie payed for her to shoes, they went to get food and they headed to her house. Maggie also got snacks from the kitchen before they went to her room. Arnell lied in Maggie's lap as they watched Netflix. Her phone vibrated so she checked to see who it was.

"Get off yo phone, hoe." Maggie said. Arnell tossed her phone in the bed and continued to watch the movie.

She stayed over at Maggie's for a couple of more hours, but she was getting tired so she asked Maggie to take her home. "Text me." Maggie called out as Arnell got out of the car.

Arnell nodded before making her way into the house. She squinted when she saw April sitting on the couch. April shot up out of her seat when Arnell walk in. Arnell rolled her eyes at her. "Uh, Arnell." Anthony said nervously. She didn't understand why everyone was being so weird.

"I thought I told you to text me when you were comin'." August said coming down the stairs.

"I forgot, okay?" She shot back. "I don't see what the big deal is? What you don't want me to be here 'cause she here?" Arnell asked referring to April. "Look, whatever. I'll leave. I'll just tell Damitri to come--"

"I'll take you." Anthony volunteered.

He threw his keys in the air and caught them shortly after. Arnell ran upstairs to get some clothes before making her way to Anthony's car. She quickly texted Damitri to let him know that she was on her way. She didn't say anything during the ride over to Damitri's. He pulled up and Arnell hopped out. Anthony drove off before she could even thank him.

"Jack ass." She mumbled.

Arnell jogged up the stairs to Damitri's house. Arnell didn't know what everyone was trying to keep her away from, but she was more than happy to leave.
