Arnell was on the phone renting out a place called Cowboys for her and Anthony's birthday. It was an eighteen and up club. Everything was good to go for Friday night and August volunteered to get everything that they needed for the party.

Arnell was finally moving in with August. She was packing up her things so she'd be ready when he came and picked her up.

"What are you doing?" Jada asked.

"I'm moving in with my brother." Arnell replied.

"Damn, you wasn't going to tell no one?" Said with an attitude.

Arnell didn't know why Jada was acted so surprised. They'd been fighting since the day she moved in. Arnell didn't appreciate how she always came last to Jada.

"It's not even a big deal, I just think it's best if I moved in with August. We still cool."

"How the hell is it not a big deal? My best friend is telling me she don't wanna live with me no more." Jada said raising her voice.

"It's not even like that, you just got a lot going on, and you be doing me hella dirty sometimes."

"What you mean?"

Arnell knew Jada was not about to sit there and play dumb. Arnell hardly called Jada out on her shit but she knew exactly what she was doing.

"You. You always telling my business or talking to me reckless. I ain't got time for your bullshit, Jada. I got enough shit I gotta deal with." Arnell fumed.

Jada was about to say something but Arnell quickly changed the subject.

"Do me a favor, and don't tell Damitri about my party." She asked while zipping up her suitcase.

Jada nodded her head. She acted cool but, she was mad. And she was going to get back at Arnell one way or another.

August came to pick up Arnell from Jada's.

"You ready?" He asked as she got inside the car.

She nodded and he drove off.

BIRTHDAY PARTY

August left early to make sure everything was ready to go. In the meantime, Arnell got dressed.

She wore a black criss cross dress that twisted in the front. She loved it because it hugged her body just right. She curled her hair and added a crown that said 'Birthday Girl'. She finished her makeup and then added accessories like earrings and a choker.

She heard a honk which meant Jay and Anthony were there to pick her up. She put on some heels and threw a pair of sandals in her purse in case she got tired.

"Damn, sis. You look so beautiful." Jay commented.

"Don't she?" Anthony added.

Arnell couldn't help but smile. "Thanks, guys."

Jay drive in the direction of the club.

"Birthday girl!" August shouted. "Come take a picture with me."

Anthony and Jay jumped into the picture, too. August hired a guy to take pictures all night.

She was glad that her and most of her siblings were getting along. April still was salty over the Thomas thing, though.

The party started at ten, but it wasn't until eleven when people were constantly rolling in. Random people were coming up and telling Arnell happy birthday and handing her presents. She was waiting on Shaydon to get there. He hadn't contacted her all day, not even to say happy birthday.

Jada came for like ten minutes and then dipped. Arnell was over her and her bullshit. Jada was always walking around bitter as hell. She was a shitty ass friend and Arnell was about to drop her ass.

It was midnight and Shaydon still hadn't shown up. Arnell took out her phone and dialed his number.

"Shay, where the hell are you?" She asked.

"...I can't make it." He hesitated.

"What do you mean? You promised me that you were going to be here."

"I'm sorry, aight? I'll make it up to you."

She didn't know how he was going to do that. It was the most important night of her life and he just bailed on her with a warning.

"Hang up the phone." She heard a female in the back whisper.

"Shaydon, where are you?" She asked again.

She was getting mad because he was being real short with her. If he wasn't going to be there, the least he could do was tell her where he was. And she could've sworn she heard Amani's ass.

"Look, I gotta go." She heard Amani laughing in the back before he hung up.

Arnell blood began to boil. Now she knew for a fact that that was Amani's voice. Arnell tried to call him back but he didn't answer. She slammed her phone on the table and grunted. Was this nigga really cheating on her?!

Arnell was beyond pissed. She made her way to the food table and poured some punch into her cup.

"Hey girl!"

"Hey, Maggie!" Arnell sang. She put a fake smile on her face so she didn't seem so down.

"Happy birthday." Maggie said hugging her and handing her a gift.

"I haven't seen you in forever."ย  Arnell noted.

Maggie was one of Arnell's good friends but she moved away before they started high school.

"Well, you know I moved back into town, hit me up sometime." Maggie said.

Arnell nodded her head and hugged Maggie again. She made her way to the gift table and sat the present down.

It was about two in the morning, the party just started to get lit, but Arnell was ready to go.

Arnell squinted into the crowd. She could've sworn she seen Damitri. She shook her head and went to go sit down at a table. She had a slight headache and the room seemed to be spinning.

"You good?"

Arnell looked up and saw Damitri. She shook her head. He was not supposed to be there.

"No," Arnell slurred looking down at her cup. "I think someone spiked the punch."

Damitri took her cup and whiffed the drink. It was definitely spiked.

"How many cups you had?" He asked.

"Twelve." She hiccuped.

Damitri shook his head.ย  Arnell saw Anthony and panicked. She grabbed Damitri by his hand and pulled him in the direction of the back.

"What are you doing here, anyway?" She questioned.

"Jada invited me."

"Well I told her not to. God she's so fucken stoooopid." Arnell said holding her head.

"Why you tell her that?" Damitri asked sounding kind of hurt.

"Because my brother hates you for what you did to his car." She shot back folding her arms.

"What you talkin' about?"

Arnell rolled her eyes. "Don't play dumb, Meech. You had your boys fuck up my brothers car that day I fought your sister." Arnell stated.

She remembered how pissed Anthony was that day. Arnell was mad herself. He still wasn't able to get it fixed and that was months ago.

Damitri raised his eyebrow. "I ain't do none of that." Gritted through his teeth. " I told you that I don't do that petty shit."

Arnell felt stupid.

"I'm sorry, Meech. I really thought-"

"You didn't think." He said interrupting her. He pulled out a stack of money and handed it to Arnell. "Tell your brother this is so he can get his car fixed." He said getting up to leave.

"Meech don't go. Stay with me please." She slurred.

Damitri sat back down and looked at Arnell. She could tell he was mad at her.

"Don't be mad at me." She pouted.

"I'm not. But damn, I wish you would've came to me when it happened."

Arnell stared at Damitri. He was looking like a snack. Fuck a snack, he was looking like a meal. Especially when he's mad.

She leaned over and began kissing him. She was surprised when she felt him kissing her back. He grabbed a handful of her hair and pulled her in closer. Arnell moaned against his lips as she felt herself getting excited. He began nibbling on her bottom lip and felt so good to her. She leaned against him and gasped when she felt how hard he was. Arnell reached for his pants and tried to unzip them.

Damitri shook his head. "What you doin'?"

"Take your pants off." She grunted.

"What? Girl go somewhere." Damitri laughed.

She usually wasn't like this but Shaydon pissed her off. Fuck it, if he was a dog, she was a dog, too.

"You're drunk as fuck, I'm not finna play with you." He said pushing her off.

Arnell smacked her lips. "You suck."

"Okay, but that's why you just tried to fuck me, right?" Damitri asked.

"Okay, and that's why your dick hard, right?" She shot back.

Damitri eyes got wide as hell. He was surprised at how wild she was being. But then again, she was drunk.

Arnell rolled her eyes. That was the second time that he had rejected her.

"Can you take me home?" She asked with an attitude.

"Where's dat at? Jada told me moved out."

"Ohhmyyygoddddd, is there anything y'all two don't talk about?" She said.

"It's not even like that." Damitri replied.

"I live with my brother, I'll give you directions."

Jada was hiding in the back listening to every thing that happened. She smirked as she made her way back to the party.

Arnell passed out on the ride home. When they got there, Damitri walked her to the front door.

"You sure you alright?" He asked.

"I'm fine." She sassed. She was still mad at him for rejecting her.

"Aight, sleep that shit off." He said before getting into his car and driving off.

Arnell stumbled into her room and fell onto her bed. She was so happy that August finished setting up her bed because she was out of there. The night was a total fail. She drifted off into a deep sleep after promising to herself that she would never get drunk again.
