Arnell was sitting on her hospital bed waiting nervously for the nurse to come in. She had been there for hours, and had grown impatient. She still had to go to the police station after for God knows how long. The whole situation was just stressing her out.

Arnell sighed deeply. She struggled with one hand to pick up the phone that was plugged in on a table in the room. She called August and asked him if he could pick her up. She would've taken an uber or something, but she had left her wallet at Damitri's and her phone was now dead.

The nurse finally came into the room after almost two hours of Arnell just sitting there. Arnell noticed how the nurse was giving her dirty looks like she had a problem. She flipped her stiff ass weave and sat down with out speaking. Arnell shook her head and didn't pay her any attention.

She continued to sit in silence as she wrote things down on her clip board. She started chewing loudly on her gum which immediately irratated Arnell. Arnell began rubbing her temples. A couple of minutes went by before she finally said something.

"How long you been pregnant?" The nurse asked sounding unprofessional. She was still going in on the piece of gum.

Arnell ignored her tone. "I don't know." She said while thinking. "Maybe a cou-"

"What you mean you don't know?" The nurse said cutting her off.

"Damn, can I finish?" Arnell snapped back. "Fuck wrong with you?" She was already in a bad mood and the bitch was pushing it.

"Look, you not finna be disrespecting me. All I did was ask a question." The nurse replied snaking her neck.

"Bitch, if you gon' ask a question, lemme answer it!" Arnell yelled. "I don't have time for y'all rude ass ratchet community hospital employees. Do your damn job cause I will fuck up this room and yo raggedy ass in the process, I AM NOT in the mood." Arnell said while getting up. The nurse got up as well and walked towards Arnell.

"Is there a problem?" Another nurse asked while walking in the room. He came just in time because the girls were only a few inches away from each other. "Wassup, Tashika?"

The nurse stepped behind her coworker. "She gettin all worked up because she ain't know how long she been pregnant." The nurse replied. "Poor girl prolly don't even know who her baby daddy is." She laughed out loud as she crossed her arms.

"Oh, I know who my baby daddy is, but do you know where your edges are?" Arnell asked. Her jaw dropped while the other nurse tried his best not to laugh. "Didn't think so. Now take ya Stevie Wonder hairline up outta here and go humble yourself sweetheart."

He guided her out of the room. "Go Tashika." He ordered.

"Get a new job ho!" Arnell shouted as he closed the door. He turned around and stared at Arnell with a confused look on his face.

"Why you in here trynna fight nurses, man?" He asked. "With one arm, at that."

"Why you ain't asked her the same question?" She shot back. "You weren't in the room, so don't come for me." Arnell scoffed.

"I mean you in here cussin out nurses in a hospital." The man explained. "That doesn't look too good on your part."

"You're a male nurse." Arnell scoffed. "That don't look right." She added while folding her arms.

"Damn." He chuckled. "Why you comin at me. I'm just callin it how I see it."

"And so am I." Arnell told him. "Out of all of the professions in the medical field, you chose to be a nurse."

"I'm sorry, what do you do?" He waited for Arnell to answer but she didn't respond. "Exactly. Besides, there are a lot of male nurses."

"Yup, And they all fruit baskets, too." Arnell shot back.

"You always gotta have a come back? " he shook his head.

Arnell stared at him. He was tall, with brown skin, and about 6'4. Really good looking. Arnell rolled her eyes at him.

He shook his head as he looked over Arnell's chart thoroughly before speaking. "You're not that far along, just a couple of weeks. I suggest you set up an appointment."

"And if you can't stand community hospitals I suggest yo ass get some insurance." Jaiden said lifting his eyebrows. Arnell couldn't help but laugh.

"Shut up." She shot back.

"Oh, that's all you gotta say after all that roastin you were just doin? I know you can do better than that."

Arnell laughed and shook her head.

"Your arm feeling aight?" He asked while touching it gently.

"Yeah, it's 'aight'." Arnell said mocking his words.

"I'm pretty sure it's just a fracture, but I'm gonna go see if your x-rays are ready." He told her. "Have you seen a doctor yet?"

She shook her head.

"I'll be back. You need anything?" Jaiden asked while getting up.

"Could you please get me some water?"

"Got you." He nodded before leaving the room.

The nurse left and Arnell was alone once again. She got up and wobbled over to the bathroom. It wasn't too long before she heard a short knock and the door opening again. She just assumed it was the nurse with her water. Arnell finished up in the bathroom before making her way back into her room.

"Nell, what the fuck?" Anthony said while walking up to her. She rolled her eyes. August and her mom walked in after him.

"I'm fine, Anthony." She said as she slightly pushed him. Now all of a sudden he cared.

"Look at yo face though. It's all fucked up."

"It doesn't hurt." She said before he touched her face. "Ow! Ant, quit it!"

"Thought you said it didn't hurt." Anthony smacked his lips.

"What happened to your arm?" August asked.

"I fell down the stairs." She quickly lied.

"So, you just gonna lie to my face like that?" August asked. "Damitri do this to you?" She could hear the anger in his voice.

Arnell scrunched up her face. "Hell NO." She said. "And I'm not lying." She told him. "I called you for a ride, what you bring the whole family up here for?"

"Then, why do you need me to take you to the police station?"

"Um, because my arm is broke and I can't drive, duh."

"But why do you need to go if you just 'fell down the stairs'?" August asked putting air quotes around the fell down the stairs part.

"My arm has nothin to do with the police station. They're finally investigating the park shooting since they found new information." Arnell lied.

"You need to stop fucking with him." August told her.

"What did I just say?" She said. "And you don't get to tell me what to do anymore." She scoffed.

"Okay, so you didn't get the injury from Damitri. But the reason they were shooting was to kill him so it still goes back to his ass." Arnell rolled her eyes at him.

"You okay sweetheart?" Her mom asked her.

"I'm fine, mom." She assured her. It was weird talking to her.

"I guess right now wouldn't be the best time to talk, huh?"

"Um, no." She answered. "I have to get down to the police station so they can ask me some questions."

"Arnell." Anthony said.

"What?" She asked annoyed.

"Nothing. Never mind."

Arnell felt relieved when Jaiden and a doctor came back to remove some of the awkward tension in the room. He looked around the room before handing Arnell her water.

"As I suspected, it's just a fracture. You're fine, I'm just going to get you a new arm sling, and then you'll be good to leave." The doctor said.

"But like I said, be sure to get those appointments set up." Jaiden said being discrete about her pregnancy. She was so happy he didn't say anything out loud. She nodded at him so he knew she was following what he was saying.

DAMITRI

"What do you do for a living, Mr. King?" A detective asked.

"Man, what y'all got me in here for?" Damitri asked. He knew the arrest was just a cover for something else they didn't have enough evidence to arrest him on alone.

The 'warrant' they used to arrest him was actually for the incident that happened downtown with Tasia and Dorian even though they said it was murder.

"Y'all arrested me for the incident with that bitch, but in here talking about something else."

"Alright, no need to beat around the bush. You obviously know what's going on here."

The detective opened a folder and pulled out a picture before sliding it in front of Damitri. He rolled his eyes before looking down. It was Clyde.

"What the fuck is this?"

"I think you know exactly who the fuck that is." The detective responded.

"Yeah, I know who that is. But why the fuck am I being questioned about Clyde, I don't even fuck with that lame ass nigga."

"Well, that 'lame ass'..." Damitri's eyes quickly shot up at the detective and he waited for him to finish his sentence. "Lame ass guy... is dead. And word on the street is that you killed him."

"'Word on the street'?" Damitri repeated. "The fuck is this, Sesame Street?" Damatri looked around the room. "Y'all ain't hear shit from the 'streets' because ain't nobody fucking with y'all pigs on the 'streets'."

"Mr. King Are you aware that the charges against you are severe." Some fat white cop asked him.

"Mr. Michelin Man, are you aware that y'all dickheads have no fuckin evidence?"

The cop shook his head. "Calling me names isn't going to get you anywhere."

"And eating until the point that you become immobile isn't gonna make your wife come back either." Damitri shot back.

He watched as the cop's whole facial expression changed. At first he was entertaining Damitri, but he became pissed off with the last comment. The cop angrily walked over to Damitri who was now smirking because he knew he got under his skin.

"Officer Trimble, stand down. Don't do anything stupid."

The officer ignored the warning. "When you get locked up, and you will get locked up, It's going to be my job to make sure you get butt fucked every night until the point where you won't even be able to walk."

"My nigga, that's sus as fuck." Damitri told the cop. "So that's why your wife left you. She found out you were a faggot. Makes sense." Damitri began laughing.

The cop's skin turned a bright red color right before he punched Damitri across the face. It didn't even phase him much.

"Officer Trimble! Out of the interrogation room, now!"

The police officer had a brief stare down with Damitri before doing as he was told and leaving.

"Pussy!" Damitri managed to yell before the door closed.

"Hey, shut up!" Another officer yelled. "Is your goal to have every cop in the station wanna beat your ass? Because that's the direction you're going in.

"Man, I don't give a fuck because without y'all guns, no cop in this station could beat my ass. Y'all are a bunch of pussies hiding behind a badge." Damitri shot back.

"Keep telling yourself that, buddy."

"I ain't ya damn buddy, now is that all? I got bail to post and shit to do."

Damitri already knew the police fucked up. Some officers claimed that the warrant was for Clyde's murder and others were saying it was for pistol whipping Dorian. The cops couldn't even get their shit straight. He knew he would be out in no time.

ARNELL

"Hello, Miss Moore." The detective said walking in and waking her up. An FBI agent was right behind her. She had fell asleep in the questioning room while waiting for someone to come in.

"Can we get on with this? My arm is killing me." She replied rudely.

"I'm sorry about that. The cop that did that will be investigated." Arnell rolled her eyes, they weren't saying nothing but words.

"I'm confused because you guys said it's for the situation with Tasia but FBI said he's wanted for murder, so which is it?"

The FBI Agent was left confused after that comment. "I'm sorry, what was that?"

"What do you know about Damitri's business?" The detective asked changing the subject.

"I don't know what you are talkin about." Arnell said picking at her nails.

"This interrogation is over now." The FBI agent waved off the detective. "Miss Moore, you're free to leave."

She didn't have to be told twice. She got up and left the room. August was still there waiting on a bench. He had also fallen asleep.

"Hey, I'm done." She tapped him. He got up to stretch.

"I'll take you home," August offered while yawning. "where you staying?"

"Actually, you can just drop me off at Damitri's. My car is there." Arnell explained. August opened his mouth to say something .

"I'll take you." Damitri said popping up. He was always coming out of nowhere.

August rolled his eyes.

"They lettin you go, too?" Arnell asked confused.

"Yeah, let's go before they change they mind. Tbone waitin outside."

Arnell was about to tell August goodbye when he grabbed her and pulled her to the side. "Arnell, lemme talk to you for a minute."

Damitri sighed, but let go of her hand. "You serious right now?" August asked.

"What? I'm just gonna get my car from his house and go home."

"I don't believe you."

"August, I'm soo tired." She whined.

"Call me when you get home." August said. She nodded.

Before they could leave the police station, an FBI Agent called out to them. Arnell threw her head back in frustration. She felt as if she would never get home.

"I just wanted to let you know the the FBI were under the impression that the PD had concrete evidence against you for the Murder of Clyde, but we have now found out that they lied about most of the evidence and didn't actually have a solid lead. We apologize for the inconvenience and want you to know that the PD will be facing consequences for their actions. They suspected you because you had problems with the victim but I am told as did a lot of people. If you have any questions feel free to give me a call and I will do the same." The Agent handed both Arnell and Damitri a card.

They walked out of the police station, and over to the SUV Tbone was in. The sun was starting to beam through the clouds. Damitri and Arnell hopped in and Tbone drove off. They sat in silence for a good couple of minutes before anyone said anything.

"Nells, you okay?" Damitri whispered.

"I'm fine." She mumbled. "Just tired."

"I know all of this shit is confusin, but I'll get it straightened out." He told her. He always said that, but it was always one thing after the other.

Arnell let out a huge sigh when the car pulled up in Damitri's driveway. She got out and stumbled to the front door.

"I'm gonna go take a bath real quick." Arnell stated while rubbing the back of her neck. She didn't have the energy to drive back home. It would just have to wait until later. She let out another deep sigh and began walking to the bathroom.

"I'll help you."

Arnell turned towards him and raised her eyebrow. "I'm fine Meech, I can wash my own ass." She said pushing him away.

"Shut up and go." He said while pointing to the stairs.

When she reached the bathroom, she slipped out of all her clothes.  Arnell sat on the toilet as she watched Damitri prepare her bath. When she was finished peeing, she got up to put her phone on the charger.

"You okay?" He asked again.

"I already told you that I'm fine Damitri." She said getting annoyed.

"What about the baby?" He asked. "Is she okay?"

Arnell smiled. "The baby is fine." She assured him. It took her a while, but she realized that he referred to the baby as a girl. "And I'm like two minutes pregnant, you don't know if it's a girl."

"Yes, I do." He argued.

"No, you don't."

"How much you wanna bet?" He challenged.

"I'm not about bet you."

"Cause you know I'm right."

"No, because it's a stupid bet." Arnell explained.

"Well you gon have one."

It grew quiet for a moment. They both didn't know what to say.

"I'm scared, Meech." She Truthfully said.

"You don't need to be, I ain't going nowhere."

"How do I know that?" She asked as she started to cry. "You aren't exactly in the safest line of business."

"I told you, I ain't going no where." He said again. "Now stop cryin." Arnell wiped her tears and looked over at Damitri. "Why was yo brother at the police station?"

"I called August and asked him to pick me up." She told him.

"Oh, yeah?" He said while dipping her towel into the water. He started scrubbing her back with the towel.

"Anthony was there, too. Acting crazy and shit."

"What about April, she had something smart to say?"

"She wasn't there." Arnell said.

He shook his head. "What's her problem?"

"I don't know." Arnell shrugged. "And then the nurse was ratchet as hell comin at me sideways. I can't stand females."

"Damn, forreal?" He said while lathering body wash on her towel. He began bathing her again.

"I don't know how she got a job there. She was rude as hell." Arnell told him. "I think her name was Tashika or some shit."

Damitri threw his head down before shaking it. Arnell saw his gesture and knew it meant something.

"Oh, you know her?" She asked. "What, y'all used to fuck or some shit." He simply nodded his head. "Of course, Damitri. Who didn't you used to fuck?" She said while getting up. Water and bubbles dripped down from her body as she reached for her towel.

"Well, that explains why she was actin the way she was. Talkin bout I didn't know my baby daddy." She told him. "How the fuck she know who I am anyway?"

"Everyone knows who you are." He told her. "You with me."

"That's bullshit."

"Did you tell your family?" Damitri asked.

"Tell them what?" She asked as she made her way to his room. He didn't even respond. He just waited for her to figure it out herself. "Ohh, that. Um, no." She said. "Didn't even cross my mind to."

She walked over to his dresser where she used to keep her clothes. They were all there the way she left them. She took out some underwear and an oversized shirt .

"They just don't need to be all up in our business like that. You see how they keep stuff from me?" She continued to explain. "I don't need all that unnecessary stress."

"I was thinkin about tellin my moms, but I guess you right."

"You wanted to tell your mom?" She asked him in shock.

"I mean yeah. But we can wait." He told her. Arnell shrugged as she plopped down on his bed.

"I gotta handle some business." Damitri said looking down at his phone.

"Of course you do." She said sounding upset.

"Don't do that." He said walking over to her. "I'll be back, I promise." He placed a kiss on her forehead.

"Okay. Be safe."

"Always." He smiled. "Come lock the door."

"It don't lock, dumbass. The cops busted them hoes down."

"Watch yo mouth." He warned. "I'll call a locksmith to come fix this shit up." She nodded and he left.

Damitri called the crew together for a meeting.

"What the fuck happened?" One of his boys asked.

"I was arrested, but they ain't had one piece of evidence for them to even think that it could've been me." Damitri shook his head.

"That nigga Dorian talking." Ross said.

"He the one who shot him, why would he set himself up like?" Chris asked.

"I think his ass is using Tasia to snitch." Damitri finally chimed in.

"What we gone do? We gotta get both of them niggas to stop talkin' but we can't just off them, that shit would look too suspicious." Tbone said.

"Nah, that's exactly why the just let me go. The wanted me to panic and go out and do
