Hunter sighed as he pinched the bridge of his nose with his index finger and thumb. With his laptop open in front of him he was supposed to be responding and catching up on emails that he had refused to do for the past 3 days. Why? Well because his oldest daughter Aurora had flown down for a weekend from New York to spend some time with him and of course in the end asking for him to add some money to her student account.

"NYU is expensive dad." The one statement he had heard all weekend that kept ringing in his ears even this Monday morning. Trust him kid. He knew New York University was fucking expensive. His bank account felt it every semester. On top of this past summer when she came and they had to buy her new laptop. Stuff for her dorm room. Other school supplies. Just think Aurora was halfway through college and then he had Vaughn going into college next year. Some Art School in Chicago. Than his youngest Murphy? Well thank the lord she was a Senior in High School next year.

But for once! It wasn't any of his 3 daughters driving him nuts. It was his trusted assistant Ryan driving him to the point of insanity.

"Hunter are you even listening to me?" He asked for what felt like the third time in the last 10 minutes.

At this point Hunter was just deleting junk emails from stores he had never shopped at just to look busy. Maybe Ryan would get the hint and just leave him the hell alone. But probably not.

"Hunter!" Ryan was about to repeat again before Hunter snapped his laptop closed and shoved it across the desk and then made eye contact with him. 

"Tell me why. Why in the hell do I need another woman in my life?" Hunter sighed as he picked up his iced coffee off his desk.

"Well for one. Look at who the hell you are. Second! Ryan added with a cheeky smile. Look at all the events you go to. Events your forced to go too.. Like." Hunter stopped him mid sentence as he opened his mouth to speak.

"So again.. Tell me what you're saying." Hunter muttered as he locked eyes with his assistant. He watched as his assistant crossed his arms and looked at him. For once not even bothering to back down.

"Female companionship isn't such a bad idea. Besides? What do you do when you leave here at night anyways? Go home. Work out? Spend time with your dog? Trust me Hunter you'll appreciate it later. He smirked as he handed Hunter back his I phone.

"What the hell did you just do?"
