Oh yes and l did enjoy the day at the mall since the next day l wasn't going to school we all decided to stay in and finish with the rest of the furniture  that was delivered on this day. Called in sick for work, l bet that lady is too intelligent for this sick excuses but since she said okay then oh well whatever.

It was quality family time and l loved every moment of it, nobody had the energy to cook in the kitchen we ended up buying Chinese food. Kayla had a hard time using the chopsticks that with the level of hunger she had she just went to the kitchen, wash her hands and get herself a simple kitchen fork that didn't have unnecessary complications.

Chris and l laughed at this and just enjoyed this time of us together and retired to bed for school didn't wait for anyone. Chris drove Kayla to school and myself to school.

Since he wasn't having any training as of yet the arrangement was that l drop him and Kayla off on my way to work. I didn't think much about leaving the two alone it was different.

This was probably going to be our normal routine for quite sometime.
Time was flying , the end of the semester was coming to an end, final exams were drawing closer but for today it was the announcements for the NFL drafting. I spent three quarters of this day in jitters and trying to convince myself to not think too much which was a waste of energy cause almost after  every minute l was thinking about it.

He seemed off of his normal self and l had to be there for him than he the overthinking girlfriend instead of the comforting one. Like any other day l drove to work and by the time l arrived with the snacks l picked fro, the store because apparently Chris and Kayla don't let snacks survive for more than one week.

Arriving inside everyone else was inside, even his parents and Camila were in the , was l late.

"Right on time." El shouts saving my ass

Thank God , cater greeting everyone l rushed upstairs to change from my scrubs and came back down to everyone else where l properly greeted Kayla with a forehead kiss which she returned and l pecked Chris' lips before settling down in his arms holding his hands for good luck.

When the show started everyone's private conversations came to an end, it was only the voices from the tv you could hear.
It's time
It's finally happening
I take a deep breath

His mom gently rubbed his shoulder as a sign for him to calm the fuck down cause l could feel his heart beat increase from time to time. The guy took way too much time for him to finally reach where he announced starting from different universities.

"Finally we go to the university where the best are found. Damn have seen these guys play l swear l feel like they already in the NFL."

"Get to the point dude." Camila groans he was delaying this announcement for way too long.

"Okay okay guys. Most of you are already cursing at me. Let me announce the names once and for all. We have Lucas , Dylan, Ryan, Jose."

He stopped reading and went off the stage, no no no no this is not happening right now.

"Mommy l didn't hear Chris' name." Kayla not now sweetheart l mentally tell her and everyone remained quiet. Alice takes her into her laps. I didn't let go of his hands, this can't be it l knew it,

"Today we have Lebron James as our special guest. A round of applause please." Everyone cheered that side but in this house it was dead silence not anyone knew how to break the silence.

Chris' POV

It was happening and l didn't even know how to feel,and to think l had thought l would be able to handle the pain but rehearsing and for it finally happening are two different scenarios.

Kira never let go of my hand she stayed in my arms and didn't room any chance for me to let go and l loved it.
l continued to listen what this great Basketball player is doing at an NFL drafting announcement day.

"Honestly speaking l was brought here for a distraction , so that the whole plan goes according to order. There's just one final announcement left."

A board was brought to the screen it had a black cloth covering whatever was behind it. When the cloth was removed l knew my mind was playing with me cause since l was thinking of Kira l was bound to see her in places she ain't though she was in my arms this moment and time."

Right

"Listen." My mom's voice breaks me apart from the war within.

Looking again there she was , looking beautiful like always

"So these people decided to give you a heart attack and every Chris Pierce fan out there. So apparently they said l am the antidote to that heart attack especially for you not the fans probably dying from knowing that you taken. (She chuckles and so do l) So baby here it goes the last and final announcement for the NFL draft is none other than Chris Pierce , the future of NFL. Sorry for the heartache, know l love you."

I didn't want to watch whatever they were saying l turn Kira into my arms to place a passionate kiss on her lips l honestly didn't care about anyone around at the moment and she totally forgot cause she didn't try to stop me anywho.

"I love you more baby." I finally tell her and her smile spreads more before she placed another peck on me.

"They got you good." Camila starts laughing at me.

"It was well played. Well played guys."

With that everyone laughs as we started to celebrate l mean me and my bros got drafted , l have my family ,Princess and my  girl right here with me.So yeah there's nothing else l would ask for.
