The simple apology was not enough to sweep away her stubbornness, but there was no intention of giving up from his side. This was caused by some misunderstandings and instead of clearing them, he raged on her which led to the meaningless fight.

It wasn't too late until he realized that he made a mistake and should have answered her questions instead of coming off rudely. "I'll answer all your questions. I'm sorry, " he apologized to the one who kept on showing the way to the door.

After that, she decided to listen to him as he took a taste of silence for a while until he finally decided to start. "That day when I arrived here, I found out that our business had suffered from a huge loss and-" he hesitated to tell further.

His words somehow caused her to soften as he touched her dry tears, looking down to the floor. "A-And my dad had a heart attack, " he continued. "But don't worry. He is doing fine now, " he convinced her, more like himself.

"I wanted to build that empire for my dad again, so I worked really hard. Kinda overworked, " he laughed nervously. "And that project I almost let go because of my stupidity helped a lot. Thanks to you for convincing me to talk to that client, " he thanked her but she was left with no words to say.

There was still a hint of doubt inside her, but she didn't let her face show any sign of it. "Why'd you hide from me?" she asked in a calm voice.

"I didn't want you to worry. And I'm really sorry. I never thought it would affect you that much. I really am not a person to be in a serious relationship but I want to change that now, " his words and eyes delivered a sense of sincereness.

It evidently melted her and resulted in a hug initiated by her. "You should've told me about it. I would have understood, " she complained. "Wait, I'm not done. I'll answer each of your questions. I really don't want you to think that I'm making up, " he pulled away and stood back.

Letting out a heavy sigh, he cleared his throat. "I did lie about being in a meeting but I told the truth when I said I was with my family. I had to ignore your message since the doctor was telling us about the condition of my dad which became my first priority and I forgot about your text later as I said before, " he said, looking right into her eyes which were looking somewhere else.

"Next one. What was it? Oh, yeah. I was alone that night. No one was there with me, but I wasn't really in a good state after I found out about my dad. I was— not okay, " he held himself from breaking down in front of her.

Wasting no time, she pulled him into another hug, tighter and warmer than the earlier one. "About that Samuel guy. I feel like you're worthy of being with someone better than me but I want you to be with me. Ugh, I seem like a possessive boyfriend. But I'm kinda scared. I probably don't make sense but I love you, " he told, enjoying the warmth of her embrace.

That was it. He broke the hug again and rubbed his hands nervously. "I think I'm done now. It's up to you how much you want to believe. I shall take a leave, " he bowed at her in a formal away.

So they met after a month, got into a fight, resolved it and now he was leaving with a formal bow. Of course, that was not the end. "NO- I mean- it's late and- I think you should stay- Just stay, " she mumbled last two words.

The long-gone sly smile came back to his face. "From 'just leave' to 'just stay'? That's a pretty interesting escalation, " he commented with the same smile.

But she lightly slapped away that creepy smile. "You should have answered me when I asked first. That fight wasn't really necessary, " she gave him the same glare that would always help her to shut him down.

"I know I'm stupid. But I really thought you must be tired. Am I forgiven now?" he asked again with high anticipation to receive a positive answer.

It was kinda obvious after that 'just stay', but he was well aware of her mood swings which always rockets from one to another in no time. "I think so, " and that made him happy.

Too happy that he lifted her without any warning and rushed off to the room he assumed to be her bedroom. He provided her no time to react and there they were already in the bed.

The tiny one was under him with widely opened eyes which got closed when he leaned to land soft kisses on her eyelids. "Now I hate long-distance relationship, " he complained and flopped off to her side.

"And I'm really sorry for whatever happened earlier. That's how I've always been but you've taught me how to compromise, thanks a lot. I'm really trying to be a better person, " he brought up another sensitive topic which he instantly changed.

"Let's not talk about it. Um, will you be my little spoon?" he asked with a shy smile.

That smile melted her even more. With a nod, she immediately turned into one he asked for and he became her big spoon. "My small doctor, " he commented about her size which was not even that smaller than his, but she accepted to be his small doctor.

Soon enough, in the course of telling about his day, she started getting sleepy which reminded her about that dream and how she feared to sleep.

There she found herself debating to bring up that dream and asked if this was the right time. "You remember I told you about you being in my dream, right?" she came to a decision and asked, slightly turning her head around to see his face.

"Wet dream? " and he gave her another weird-ass look. She slightly nodded and shook her head shortly. "It's wasn't a wet dream and I don't want to hide this from you. But it was a dream about, " she sighed and hoped for the best.

"You and a woman."
