I woke up in Taehyungs arms. I had never seen him as broken as I did last night. I snuggled deeper into his chest placing small kisses on his collarbone.
he hummed, indicating he was also awake
-'love, it's too early'
-'I am just happy to wake up next to you again' I replied
I felt the soft touch of his lips on my forehead
-'hmm me too'
There was this certain serenity in this moment, but I was also aware of everything that had passed the past 24 hours. and there was nothing serene in that.
Jungkook died and Jimin was taken.
I knew the moment we'd get out of bed this was a reality we needed to deal with.
We got dressed and made our way upon the deck. Everyone was in very low spirits. grieving those men that we lost, grieving the fact that yoongi's ship was lost and their crew lost their "home". Min-ji didn't leave her room, well my old room. Yoongi's wound was not as deep as we expected so that was some sort of positive thing. Plus I was happy both Soobin and Yunho survived the battle to be honest.
We wanted to have a funeral for Jungkook, even if his body was left behind, it was good to have a proper farewell. Well have a funeral for all men but for Tae and me it was mainly about Jungkook.
Taehyung had informed the crew.
-'min-ji should be here' I said to him -'you should talk to her'
Taehyung looked anxious; I could imagine because facing your heartbroken sister was not an easy task

I knocked on Min-ji's door. there was no answer. I opened it and found her lying on the bed, her eyes open. Staring ahead.
-'Min-ji we are going to hold a funeral for the men we lost, so also for Jungkook. I think it would be a good idea if you are there. too say goodbye?'
she didn't answer. I stepped closer sitting down on the bed
-'come sister' I said as I laid my hand on her shoulder she shrugged it off but sat up
-'I don't want to' she stated while looking blankly ahead
-' it could be good'
I again put my arm up to comfort her
-'don't' she said with tears in her eyes but I did anyways 'don't touch me' she said while getting up
-'Min-ji' I sighed feeling bad for my little sister who was absolutely heartbroken.

Taehyung walked onto the deck again, shaking his head at me. That meant she wasn't coming. We started the "ceremony". Remembering the names and we made these symbolic bottles as some sort of casket that we let down into the sea.
Eventually it was Jungkook's turn. Taehyung started his talk but quickly Min-ji appeared, stopping him from talking.
She stared ahead. she went to the edge of the ship where the bottle representing Jungkook was lowered.
she then turned around as all of us were staring at her unable to say anything, waiting what she would do next
-'what are you all staring at huh?' she shouted
There were these tears in her eyes. I slowly moved towards her. It could go badly but I didn't care. I slowly put my arms around her as she buried her face in my neck, sobbing uncontrollably
-'what am I going to do now?' she repeated
I had tears in my eyes as I thought about Jungkook, the last time I really spoke to him was when I caught him staring at the ring, the one to ask her for marriage.
I didn't say anything to Min-ji. I didn't know if there were any words that could comfort her at this point.
After the funeral all the men drank rum. the way pirates dealt with these events.
I was sitting together with Taehyung, his hand in mine. Yoongi approached us. He slammed his fist on the table.
-'when are we going to get Jimin back?' Yoongi raised his voice
-'as soon as possible' I answered
-'that's not specific'
-'we need to figure out where he is held to begin with. and whether he still lives' Taehyung added and Yoongi stepped forwards as if he wanted to hit Taehyung, he then swallowed, walking away.

I tossed all the papers from my desk out of frustration
'what do you mean she isn't here?' I asked with a raised voice.
The two soldiers stared at me.
-'w..w.e were able to take over Yoongi's ship and take hostages but she wasn't there'
-'Yes you told me that already yet I fail to understand how that is possible' I shouted even more frustrated they gave me the exact same explanation
-'your orders were to retrieve my sister safely however she is not here'
-'we apologise sir, however, we have some sort of good news'
-'which is?'
-'we have the hostages and multiple have indicated that one of them is the right hand man of Captain Kim Taehyung'
I raised my head to them
-'why didn't you tell me this at first'
-'we can use this'
There was a spark of hope inside of me, I turned to Hoseok who was also in the room. he nodded in agreement
-'I'll write a letter and deliver it in Jeju, hopefully they will deliver the letter soon to Taehyung'
This was the best possible situation, well after the situation in which my sister was actually here.
-I turned to the two men 'you are excused'
They left the room an hoseok got up from his chair but didn't leave, he hesitantly turned around on his way out.
I looked up from the letter I was writing
-'Jin, uhm don't you think it's possible she doesn't want to come back?' Hoseok carefully asked
-'what do you mean?'
