Tia's POV

A month of summer flew right by me in the first time in forever.

Lucia and dad have been busy lately with their wedding plans, as for Morgan was her maid of honor, I and few others were bridesmaids. My father agreed to place a picture of my brother, Jonah, in the wedding. Lucia of course insulted me behind my back, but no matter, she's not my real mother anyways. Lucia bought us sky blue dresses.

As for our before party, it was scheduled not till the week after. Of course I still went on wild adventures with my only island friend, Preston.

Last week, we went streaking on the beach late at night with sparklers, then he tried surfing with me. The week before that,

I fell into the water about a million times. Every time we spent together, we'd never waste. It's all about the amazing adventure I'm supposed to have before college. The risky fun and troubles. Just the thoughts of waking up everyday getting into more trouble than before is just breathtaking. Climbing up the waterfalls together and jumping off cliffs, it's all worth it. The adrenaline was so high.

Yes, this is just a fling we have, no I'm not attached. I don't need to be.

Preston's POV

"Hey Pres, where you been? We're down by the shore," Tyler says.

"Sorry, I've been so busy," I say.

"With?"

"He's probably busy with his new girlfriend," Jake mocks into the phone as they laugh.

"No, we're just friends," I say.

"Friends that fuck and go on said adventures?" Tyler says.

"Hey, tonight at Jake's party I'll prove it," I say, "I'm still on the prowl. Besides she's just a hoe. She's not serious."

"Pres, listen, you're delusional, okay? Girls who throw themselves over you get attached one way or another prove me wrong tonight," Jake says hanging up.

I roll my eyes as I put my phone down.

Prove it huh?

Tia's POV

"Tia, I don't think you should be fucking around with Preston, you'll get hurt," Morgan says.

"Morgan, I'm okay, you don't need to worry about me," I say.

Truth is, once I get home, I'm hooking up with a college senior anyways.

There was another party tonight at Jake's so of course we went. I could just feel Lucia scowling at me as we left. That lady is a witch.

I sighed as we drove there.

"So, you think you'll see Preston again?" Morgan asks.

"Oh, I guess," I say.

The fuck is wrong with me lately? I've never been staying with the same guy to have adventures AND sex? This isn't real. This must be one of those long flings.

We pulled up across the street as we entered in the house. People were dancing and laughing.

Jake approaches us. His blue eyes and blonde hair stuck out. He had tanned olive skin and wore a white shirt and faded aqua jeans.

"Hey Morgan, and Tia?" He says.

"Yeah," I say.

"Tyler's over there and Tia, there's something you should see," he says.

I looked at him confused as I followed him.

I saw Preston and another girl together on the couch.

"So?" I say unamused, "can I have a Diet Coke now?"

"You don't have to pretend not to be upset," he says, "it's your boy to be upset at."

I look at him confused.

"I'll admit I've hooked up with many for shorter periods of time, but this isn't real," I say, "I'm from Colorado and I'm going back during the school year, so I don't really want to date anyone. I'm too fluid."

"What does that mean?" He asks.

"I move around, I'm a wanderess," I say, "don't worry about me. Worry about your little friend over there. I don't get heartbroken, I break hearts."
