Chapter seventeen: "Whatever, Night Night"

Aunt Laborè returned home two hours later and I decided to break the news to her in my room
So I could announce it to her privately with none of my nosy sisters around

So as soon as she dropped her purse on my sofa, I immediately told her
"Aunt Laborè, I'm going to live with Cloud" the way I said it was so quick that I almost stumble in my own words

She tilted her head at me "I see"
She's calm, too calm

She removed her jewelry first before she plopped her body on my bed, I sat beside her
"Wait do you know this already?"

"Penelope dear, the moment Cloud asked permission from your parents, your Mom was the first to call me and I almost dropped our new product from how shocked I am right in front of my boss"
I was only left giving her a sheepish grin to ease the awkward air I created between us

Mom always called at least one family member to tell a piece of shocking news to get something out of her chest
It turned out to be Aunt Laborè

I lie down on the bed next to her as we stared up at my blank white ceiling
"So how do you feel about it?"

She grabbed a pillow on her side of the bed and hugged it close to her chest
"At first I almost fainted when I heard the news, who knew my niece would be dating my boss' son" one side of her lips quirked up making her smirk, I rolled my eyes and took a pillow to hit her face

"Aunt Laborè please no" I can imagine what is going on in her mind right now, she laughed as she hit me back with the pillow that she just hugged

"This is quite big news, have your sisters known about this?" She asked me before she hopped out of the bed and asked me where my luggage is
"I haven't told them yet, the luggage is at the back of my closet hold on I'll help you"

I rolled off the bed and let my body slam on the floor, she was already rummaging through all of my clothes that needs to be packed
"I'm only going to pack half, I will just come back for the other half soon and besides I am not gonna leave that quickly yet. I have to prepare and plan everything"

Dragging my luggage out of the closet was a bit difficult because all of my clothes are preventing me to bring out the luggage, some of my clothes were covering my way. We both got out of my closet first and decided to pull it out at the count of three
"1"

"2," she told out loud joining me in counting

"3!" We shouted and pulled at the same time, we fell flat on the floor and the luggage hit the ground making a loud thud

"I think my butt broke" I groaned as I can feel the pain from my bottom and I haven't moved a bit from my sitting position for a while

My door was slammed open with Wendy that has her hair up in rolls
"What happened!?"

Her eyes went to my white luggage that has heart pillows design scattered all over
"Are you running away? Because if you do I want to have your bed"

"Wendy, who the hell runs away with a big ass luggage?" I struggled to stand up slowly, the pain from my bottom was slowly fading away

"True, if you run away with a huge luggage you might return here and change it to a backpack" she joked as she helped Aunt Laborè get up

"You broke your butt but I think I broke my back" she put a hand behind at the bottom of her spine, we both helped her sit on my vanity chair which was the nearest thing that she could possibly sit on at the moment

"So what is the reason you need to pack your luggage this late at night?" Wendy asked as she put the luggage flat on the bed, she opened it for me to put on some clothes that I neatly folded

"I haven't told you guys this yet but you are the first to know, I'm moving in with Cloud," I told her, she blinked a few times and is trying to process the information that I just gave her

"You are moving to who now?" She asked trying to make sure if what she heard was correct

"I'm moving in with Cloud, Wendy"

She was silent and looked to Aunt Laborè to see if I was joking, Aunt Laborè shake her head

"WHAT?!" She yelled at the top of her lungs, I can hear everyone scramble to my room

"What happened!?" Natalie yelled, she was holding a human anatomy book that was very thick. She must be studying when she heard Wendy

"I was supposed to paint some flowers on my nails but because of the loud noise it now looks like it was stabbed and it's leaking blood everywhere" Caramia complained and showed us her hand that now has a mess of red nail polish

"Why is Penelope's luggage out, IS MOM AND DAD KICKING YOU OUT!?" Adeline shouted with a shocked look on her face, she walked into the room and saw my luggage is now full of my clothes

"No Adeline I am not getting kicked out," I told her reassuringly

"Then why are you packing your things?" Brie asked me with a face full of facial cream, must be the new cream she bought on the way here. I saw the car where she and Caramia was in turn to the other way and went to a self-care shop in the downtown area

I wasn't supposed to tell them this early and especially late at night because they will react the same way that Wendy did, I sighed and used my hand to lean on the bed
"I am going to move out of this house and move in with Cloud"

I covered my ears early which is a good thing because I can hear the loud voices of my sisters with visible confusion on their faces, Ella ran to me like her life depended on it and slapped me to my face
"What the heck Ella!?"

She smiled at me "just checking if this is real"
"Then you should've just slapped yourself then" I gave her the look but that won't give her much effect

I didn't answer the questions that they kept throwing at me, I will be more tired than I should be at this state. I heard my phone ring on the vanity and I went to check who it was
Surprise, surprise, the one and only Satan himself called me

I changed Cloud's ID name on my phone to "Grumpy" like his nickname that we always used, I pushed everyone out of my room along with Aunt Laborè. Yes I have to push her out too

I locked the door but my sister kept slamming and knocking at my door wanting to know more answers from me, I ignored them and at first, I hesitated to answer the call but a thought came to my mind
I am going to live with this jerk face in the same place and on the same bed, I need to get used to it

I pinched my nose bridge at that thought, I pressed the answer call button and I heard his voice like he was drunk
"Heeeyy Sleeeppyy" he greeted me with a happy tone and I heard him have a hiccup

"How's my favorite frenemy?" He asked on the phone
Is this guy for real?

"Are you drunk?" I was mastering my monotone voice recently because I have to say my sarcasm with a straight face

"Yup but don't worry I'm in my veeeerrryyy huuggge apartment haha"
He was drunk. very drunk.

"Cloud go to sleep" I ordered him but I heard bottles clanking in the background
"What are you doing?"

"Oh I am cleaning up" he answered then he hiccuped
"You are coming over to live with me and if there is one thing I remember about you since preschool is that you are a neat freak" he hiccuped again
"So I should clean a bit but I doubt you will care since my place isn't yours"

I sighed
"Cloud go to sleep, I think I can handle a few messes in a room since I live with 6 sisters, 2 parents, and an aunt that is sleeping in my bedroom" I confided to him

"Whatever, night night" he ended the call quickly
Why this little

I just have to get used to this, I patted myself on the shoulder
"I can do this"
