Chapter eighty-five: "He Knows"

I walked to the walk-in closet as I leave Cloud standing in the middle of the room, it was a new feeling that I didn't know existed inside of me it felt like my entire body was warm and my heart raced like I just ran a marathon. We were so close that I was already responding to my fight or flight immediately

Thank goodness the towel was big and thick enough to cover me, I locked the door before proceeding to change into my sweatpants and an oversized t-shirt. I have a little secret before I sleep

It's that I always remove my bra and wear oversized t-shirts to cover my upper part especially my breast, it always did the job perfectly because wearing a bra to bed is just uncomfortable to me. Don't get me wrong, my chest is not that big I'm only a C cup anyway so it wouldn't be that obvious

Well, Cloud is not pointing it out so it's not obvious and I checked the mirror every time just to see it, I stepped out of the walk-in closet and kept drying my hair and brushing it. Cloud was on the bed skimming through his sketchbook, he raised his head and saw me walk closer to the bed

I sat on the bed and fixed the pillows on my side "I better sleep early, I'm going to leave tomorrow" when I grabbed the hotdog pillow I slammed my head back on the mountain of pillows behind me. If there is one thing that I appreciate in Cloud's home is that he has a massive amount of pillows that I can just hog all to myself and there will still be a lot left for him

He sets down the sketchbook on the nightstand and right after he removed his sweatshirt showing me his abs and muscular arms, I did get used to seeing him being shirtless before we sleep but I'm still a girl so it was never easy to stop looking at it

"My eyes are up here Angel" he smirked at me

I turned away to look in a different direction and to avoid his proud and mocking smirk "I'm not, it's just aren't you a bit cold when you sleep shirtless? The AC is always on at night when we sleep" I pointed to the AC that is in full blast right now that the entire room is chilly and just the right temperature to cover yourself with a duvet and feel cozy

He laid his back on the mattress and eyed the AC "I'm used to sleeping like this"

I rolled my eyes "Do you even sleep? If you are referring to that 3-hour sleep you just said, that is a nap you fucking doofus" I grabbed one of the pillows behind me and smacked him with it

"Still, I get better naps these days" he smiled while chuckling lowly

"Whatever" I tucked myself under the duvet and moved around to find the perfect sleeping position, we both were shuffling on the bed to sleep soundly but we sound like we were doing something else since the bed frame kept hitting the wall while we shuffle around

"Why is it so hard to sleep right now!" I said loudly to myself, I was tired and yet I can't seem to sleep that it made me frustrated

Cloud gave me the look "First time?"

"Yeah, I don't have this before and I sleep like a bug that is snug in a rug"

Is this what it feels like to be Cloud!? I have so much on my mind right now that it is tiring me but it kept me awake too, I feel like my body and brain are mocking me

I sighed tirelessly "This must be hard for you" Cloud agreed with me and we simultaneously stared up at the ceiling

We were not sleepy and bored right now with the silence between us, I can feel Cloud turn his head and gaze at me from the side. Since he was gazing at me intensely I might as well return it so I look at him and we were now into a staring contest

Since my eyes are becoming dry I snapped my fingers in front of his face and he closed his eyes "I win~" I say happily

Since I wasn't falling asleep I might as well close my eyes in hopes that maybe it will help me, my eyes were closed for 15 minutes and when I opened them I can see Cloud who was on top of me. I bit the insides of my cheek and squinted my eyes at him "Cloud what are you doing?"

"Just admiring the ugly one in the relationship"

I scoffed and widened my eyes, my hands went to my chest like I was appalled at his honest saying about my appearance "Excuse me!?"
Well, that is true by the way, if I stood beside Cloud he would shine brightly almost like a sun but he is a Cloud

"We don't have a relationship, Marshall"

He leaned in close that our noses touch and our lips were almost close "How about we change that hm?" He was teasing me and I don't seem to hate it at all

I cracked up a little "You don't even seem to like a girl like me, so I can see that as a blur" my eyes wander but never stay to look at the person in front of me

He was getting closer when suddenly we can hear a loud knock at the bedroom door that startled the both of us that made Cloud lose his balance and face-planted himself on my chest

I was not wearing a bra and he face-planted on my breast that was only covered with an oversized t-shirt, the doorknob was turning and we have no time. Cloud's bright idea is that he covered himself with the duvet and hid on top of me

His head moved down to rest on my stomach while his arms were around my waist

"Cloud my dude whe- Penelope?" Nick looked confused, he poked his head through the door and searched the bedroom "Have you seen Cloud? He's not in the library or the terrace"

I shrugged at him, Cloud lifted my shirt beneath the duvet where he was hiding and kissed it lightly which made me gasp a little from surprise
What the heck Cloud is doing!?

This made me try to hide it more from Nick because I'm going to be the only one who is gonna die from embarrassment here, Cloud kissed some parts of my stomach and I was trying to downplay it from my face "Cloud must be in the other rooms" I quickly said to Nick just so he could just leave so I can kick Cloud off of the bed

Nick nodded and before he could close the door he gave me a smug look them closer it completely
HE KNOWS!!

I removed the duvet off of me and I could see Cloud resting his chin on the palm of his hands, my shirt was almost revealing my chest and I pulled it down quickly "Get off or I'll kick you"

"You look cute when flustered anyway, worth the kick in the face" he winked at me

I cleared my throat "Ever heard of personal space?"

Cloud sat up and crawled to lay down next to me, he shook his head and said "Nope, to you that is"
What is wrong with this guy?!

My hand went to massage my chest where he face-planted, it hurt quite a lot and Cloud seemed to notice "You okay?"

I glared at him "Just jolly that is! My chest feels so light like a feather right now that I might fly away" I sarcastically said to him

"It hurts you doofus! Can't you tell!?"

I crossed my arms at him and I groaned in pain silently "You better get out to talk with Nick or else I'm gonna kick you out of the bedroom!" I threatened him and he has both of his hands raised

"Alright alright, I'll do it but seriously do you need ice or something?" He asked me as he run around to sit at my side if the bed

His eyes were glued on my chest with worry
Which is a weird statement to put together if you both aren't actually a couple, to begin with

"I'm fine Cloud just get out"
