"Ashley! Ashley, get up! Ashley!" I slap the finger poking my shoulder and open my groggy eyes. Quinn is inches from my face looking at me expectantly.

"What are you doing sleeping? Get up!" I look around my room and see Yasmine in the corner on her phone. I remember when I got home I did my workout and instantly fell into bed from exhaustion. My body is so tired, I haven't eaten in forever and it's finally catching up with me. I find myself lightheaded and in and out of concentration a lot.

"You look terrible, girl. When was the last time that you had a decent meal?" Quinn asks, sitting next to me on my bed.

I shrug. "When did you guys get here?" I ask to get up.

"Nina let us in about fifteen minutes ago so we could help you get ready for the party," Yasmine responds looking up from her phone.

"And don't try to dodge the question. When was the last time you ate?" Quinn asks again.

"I don't know. A couple days?" I shrug trying to tell her that it's no big deal. But her eyes widen and that tells me a different story.

"A couple days?" She spurts out. "Ash, you gotta eat! You go shower and Yas and I will get you something to eat." She pushes me into the shower without letting me get a word in. Honestly I don't see why it's a big deal that I haven't eaten in a few days. I'm still functioning, aren't I? And I'll do anything to keep the weight down.

I take a hot shower, letting the water roll down my shoulders and down my body. When I get out I towel dry and leave the bathroom.

"Oh good, you're out." I whip around at the voice to see Yasmine still standing in the corner. I let out a small scream.

"Holy crap, you scared me!" I yell at her.

"Sorry, chica. Quinn sent me in here to have you hurry up." Just then Quinn bursts in with a bowl of pasta.

"Yassy you were supposed to have Ashley ready!" Quinn accuses.

"I know but she was taking forever in the shower."

"You know what? I'll get you something to wear and, Yassy, you fix her hair. Ashley eat this." Quinn shoves the bowl in my face.

"I'm really not hungry." I say.

"Too bad," Quinn says, dropping it into my hands. I take the bowl but have no intention of eating it. Quinn goes into my closet to get something for me to wear I suppose.

"Just eat it, chica. Even just a few bites." Yasmine says from behind me. I would never be able to eat a morsel of food if it was in front of anyone else besides Yasmine or Quinn, but I know that they won't drop it until I eat something.

"Fine." I fork a single shell and slowly put it into my mouth. It's delicious. The cheese and seasoning tastes so good. I take another bite and savor the heavenly taste. But on the third bite all the good flavors go away and all I can taste is the calories I'm adding to my body. I swallow quickly and put the bowl on the ground.

"All done." Yasmine says from behind me. I stand to go look in the mirror but Quinn comes and shoves me back into the bed.

"You can't see until you're dressed." She shoves me some clothes and looks at me expectantly. No way am I changing in front of them. I give her a look.

"Okay, call us when you're done." When the door is closed I pull off the towel and pull on the colorful bikini Quinn picked for me.

I actually love this one besides the fact that it looks like my thighs rub together on the top and my stomach does a slight roll over the bottoms. I wipe away a tear rolling down my cheek and quickly pull on the dress like cover up. The only thing I like is the cute braid Yasmine did in my hair.

"Oo, that's so cute!" Quinn speaks from behind me. I offer her a slight smile. Both of them have also changed into swimsuits.

When we moved here, one of the main reasons was because of the large swimming pool in the backyard. Everyone who comes here for a party knows to wear a suit.

"Let's go!" Quinn shouts, pulling me out of my room. Downstairs I see Nina standing by the door.

"I'm out for the night. Have fun, Ashley." I wave goodbye and she leaves through the front door. In the backyard people are already milling around. On the left are snacks and pop and some selzers. On a makeshift stage is some band from my school trying to book gigs here and there.

"Vince just texted, he's here. BRB." Quinn scurries off to find Vince. Yasmine comes up to me and hands me one of the seltzers.

"Ashley, it's time to let loose girl." She says bumping my shoulder.

"Don't worry, I will."

"How many have you had?" Yassy shouts at me. I can barely hear her over the loud music and me jumping around to the song.

"How many what?" I giggle. I come closer to her and start twisting her hair around my finger.

"How many drin-"

"Wait! I love this song!" I yell, shutting her up. "So baby pull me closer in the backseat of your Rover." I sing but mostly yell along with everyone else. "That I know you can't afford. Bite that tattoo on your shoulder. Pull the sheets right off the corner. Of the mattress that you stole. From your roommate back in Boulder. We ain't ever getting older." All of a sudden hands grasp my waist in the middle of my hip swing. I turn around to face Zack.

"Zacky!" I yell. "Has anyone ever told you how handsome you are?" I laugh, draping my arms around his neck. I scooch closer so my hips are swaying with his. He smirks at me.

"So I've been told. You know you're pretty hot when you're drunk." He says keeping his hands on my waist. I feel like that should bother me but I really don't care.

"I'm not drunk silly." He laughs and brings me over to the pool through a throng of people. When did they all get here?

"Come on." He pulls off his shirt so I take off my cover up and we jump into the pool.

When I resurface Zack is standing there with water rolling down his chest.

"You're all wet." I laugh.

"Ashley, do you want to get back together?"

"No you broke my heart." I say pouting my lip. He steps closer to me through the water and brings his lips to mine in a quick kiss.

"How 'bout now?" He whispers.

"No, Zacky." I say stubborn. He shrugs and brings his lips to mine again. This kiss is slow and passionate. He prys my mouth open and our tongues meet, doing the dance we know all too well. His hands roam my back, sending shivers through my body. If it wasn't for the water holding me up, I might have fallen.

His lips leave my mouth and leave little kisses down my neck. I feel like this is wrong but I don't want it to stop. He pulls away too soon and looks at me intently.

"How 'bout now?" He asks, voice husky.

"Sorry Zack. But I don't fall for players anymore."
