The next day, most of us slept in. Everett must have been tired, he was still asleep and it was going to be noon, soon. We have to eat lunch and prepare for our competition.

I kissed his cheek first and then the side of his head. "It's time to get up." I said stroking his hair and his beautiful eyes fluttered opened and he blinked a couple of time.

"I like waking up like this." He said huskily and I kissed his lip.

"I'm glad to hear that." I said and stroke his hair and he closed his eyes. "It's almost time lunch for lunch. We have to get ready to bake."

"It's already time for lunch?" His eyes was wide opened now, but he didn't make any effort to move.

"Yes." I said.

"You look good in that." He pointed my oversized beige sweater and suddenly his head was on my lap and he sighed.

I leaned down and kissed his forehead.. "Are you planning to get up?" I asked.

He hummed a little and I said, "C'mon." I said. "It's time to wake up.." I kept pecking his lips and he smiled.

"Now.." He said sitting up and stretched his arm wide. "I want a hug."

"After you're ready." I said standing up and grinned at him.

He pouted a little. "I want a hug now."

"After you're ready." I said as I made my way to the door. "I'll wait for you downstairs."

"And then hugs?" He asked.

"And then hugs."

"And kisses?"

"Just hugs." I said.

"I want kisses too." He said.

"And kisses." I agreed.

He was out of bed in an instant and I smiled.

Mr. Harper and some of us was in the kitchen. He was showing his top ravioli recipe to us.

"Where's my hug?" Everett whispered behind me as he wrapped his arms around me giving me a back hug.

I smiled at him a little and hush him quietly and pointed at Mr. Harper who was teaching Morgan and Aaliyah the recipe.

Mr. Harper was indeed a good chef. Not only was his plating was beautiful, but his foods was delicious.

"You didn't give me my hugs and kisses, yet." Everett complained after lunch.

I laughed and opened my arms wide and he came close for the hugs.

"I need those hugs, so I can win and get us that damn tickets." He said.

"If I was a better cook or baker. I would have said that as well, but I'm not. I will try though." I said.

And he patted my head, gently.

Evan and I, were the only two who was the worse of all. I burnt my cookies, while Evan's cream roll was as flat as the tortilla wrap.

We both were arguing at the corner about how our own looked better than theirs.

"My look much more appetizing." I said. "It look like dark chocolate cookie."

He rolled his eyes, "but taste wise mine is better."

The competition was fierce and nerve-racking. The rest of them were pretty good. It smelled delicious and looked nice.

Evan tried my cookies and gagged. "I love you Em, but this is awful."

"I figured." I tell Evan.

"Everett is a good cook. You should try taking some cooking lesson with him."

"Maybe I should." I said thoughtfully.

The competition ended.. Everett made mini cream horns, Bloom made cinnamon rolls, while Aaliyah made cupcakes and Morgan made apple pies.

"At least you tried." Everett said trying to make me feel better and I grimaced a bit.

Evan promised to remind me of the burnt cookies every-time we bring up about baked goods and I rolled my eyes at him.

We were told the result will be out after dinner.

"So much suspense?" Morgan complained.

We all went to take a shower and decided to meet up to hang out a bit.

I waited for Everett to finish showering. I was sitting cross legged on the bed and was reading the comics. It's addicting.

He came out in a bathrobe and was drying his hair with the towel.

"You seem pretty interested in comics, now." He said as he sat across on me. He tucked my hair behind my ear. "You're so beautiful." He suddenly said.

"That was so random." I chuckled.

"I just wanted to remind you." He said. "I like when you smile."

"I smile a lot around you." I said.

"I like seeing you smile." He said.

"I like seeing you smile, too." I said.

After dinner, Mr. Harper was making us wait for the result. Evan and I was sitting beside each other while the rest of them was standing in the living room. Mr. Harper was holding a card, the prizes was laid out.

There was the big price, a big plane cardboard, a MacBook and then the latest iPhone and participation certificates and trophies. Everett did went overboard for the prizes.

"Ladies and Gentleman, welcome to the Levi's baking competition. The most anticipating competition of this year."

Evan and I clapped and cheered in delight.

"It was indeed a tough competition, but a fair one indeed. The staffs tried the extraordinary baked goods that was served anonymously for fairness, and voted for the best."

Evan cheered.

"All the participants will receive a certificate and the winners will receive both a participation and a trophy."

We all cheered at the announcement.

"For, Third place we have the new space grey iPhone and it goes to the delicious cinnamon rolls that was made by the extraordinary, Ms. Bloom."

Evan and I cheered and clapped at the excitement.

Mr. Harper handed her the trophy and the iPhone box and Bloom grinned at us as she accepted the price. A staff took a picture of that moment, Evan and I took pictures as well. Bloom skipped towards Evan in excitement.

He kissed her lip and cheeks and congratulated her.

"Our second price, the new MacBook Pro goes to the colourful delicious cupcakes made by Ms. Aaliyah." Mr. Harper said and Aaliyah's mouth was wide opened as she squealed and made her way to get her prize.

"If Morgan wins, then both of them will be taking home the two prizes." Evan said.

We all waited in anticipation as Mr. Harper looked at the card, again with an impassive look.

"And now, the most awaited grand prize of the day. Vacation for a week at Disneyland, with hotels and planes included. The baked goods, that have got the most votes goes to...." he paused to look around the room.

"C'mon, Mr. Harper." Evan said. "We already waited for so long."

"Goes to Mr. Everett."

Everett's eyes widened in shocked and he looked at me and then Mr. Harper.

Morgan smiled and clapped.

"I really did it?" He asked us in disbelief.

"Yes, you did it. Master Everett. Congratulations. It's ranked number one among the staff's pick." Mr. Harper said with a smile on his face.
