Emily

I liked the walk with Everett. We shared our thoughts and opinions. He was opening up to me, telling me things that he admitted he was ashamed about.

He admitted he feels ashamed and embarrassed when he share his family background with people. He said, many people in the past tried getting close to him to use his family's names to get things done.

He said in his last school before enrolling here, he had a huge fight with his friends because his friends entered clubs and bars using his family's names. It must have been awful.

On our way back home after breakfast at a small diner that we found. I glanced at him in the corner of my eyes. He looked ahead deep in thoughts.

"My family and I don't have the best relationship as well." I said to him hesitantly. He turned to look at me in surprise. I think he didn't expect me to share anything with him.

He was quiet, but his facial expression was curious and seemed like he wanted to know about me.

"Throughout my life I've been trying to do things carefully, I didn't want to trouble my parents by doing something stupid. I've always tried to do good in schools and music. I tried winning trophies and certificates." I looked in front. "Last Sunday was awful, I saw the car approaching, but I couldn't move. All I was thinking was- will my parents be disappointed if I didn't attend that class?" I looked at him and he watched me, carefully.

"I don't know why I didn't have thoughts like would they be worried or would they be sad? instead, I thought would they be disappointed in me?"

"Why would they be disappointed with you?"

"I have never missed any music classes under their watch. The only time I missed was when I overslept at your place. My mom is expecting me to study music in college."

"Oh." He said. "But do you want to?"

"I thought about it.. I like playing piano and violin, but I don't see myself with music in the future."

"What are you planning to study though?"

And I give him a secret smile. "If I do get into the program. I'll let you know."

"So you're planning to study something else, too?"

"If I do get into the program that I wanted, maybe yes."

"How will you explain to your parents?"

"I don't know. I have no idea." I said to him.

He stopped all of a sudden and pulled me close to him for a hug.

"I want you to know.. no one is suppose to be perfect. Everyone have flaws and scars, but it shouldn't stop you from being beautiful or feeling beautiful. Beauty starts from within, its starts with you accepting yourself as who you are and not who you want to become."

It's been quite a while. I've officially had my cast removed and I could finally do things, again. Apart from physical therapy, I was all good.

Everett came over on a Sunday, and we went for a walk and breakfast. It became our thing now after that Sunday, and I'm enjoying it.

"Shh." I heard someone said quietly. "They will wake up.."

I stirred a little, but it felt uncomfortable. Since when was my bed so hard? I felt arms around my body. The feeling was warm, but since when did beds have arms? I opened my eyes and almost had a small fright when I saw my friends staring with a smirk on their faces.

"What is it?" Everett asked groggily.

I was sleeping on his chest and he had his arms around me. We fell asleep after lunch and we somehow ended up in this position with viewers.

"Look like you two had a good nap." Evan chirped.

I moved away from Everett and sat on the bed and stretched.

"Shut up, a*s." Everett smiled at Evan. Did they make-up already?

I couldn't help but smile as they bickered with each other.

"Glad we came a little later." Morgan said.

"How long were you here?" Evan asked.

"We went for breakfast together." Everett said.

"Dude, you just broke up not so long ago and you're going on dates?" Evan said.

"It's not romantic date, it's a friendly date." I said to him, feeling upset that Evan brought the topic about London.

"Do you need more beatings?" Everett said standing up and walking towards Evan.

Evan laughed at Everett and all of us just smiled.

"What are we planning to do?" I asked. It was three in the afternoon. There's nothing much to do at my place.

"Want to go over to my place?" Everett asked.

"Sure." Evan said. "This guy have arcades and VR at his place."

My parents went to my cousin's birthday party and wouldn't be back until mid-night, as they drove to another city. I texted Mom I was going out and she told me to stay safe.

We split the group into two because Everett and Evan had cars.

"You're coming with me?" Evan asked me and I shrugged. I don't mind going to any.

Everett give me a hesitant look, but didn't say anything.

I got into Evan's car with Aaliyah. While Morgan and Bloom went with Everett.

"How was the date with Everett?" Aaliyah asked while smirking at me.

"It was not a date." I said again.

"It's a friendly date." Evan corrected Aaliyah and I felt like he was teasing me.

"It was good."

"How's the boy, Troy?" Evan asked. "No news about him?"

"He's doing better." I said to him.

"Would we ever get a chance to meet him?" Aaliyah teased me.

"I don't know. It's up to him."

"How about you invite him, over?" Evan suddenly brought this crazy idea.

"Shouldn't we ask Everett?" I asked.

"He must be curious about him." Evan brushed me off as he slowly parked the car to the permitted area.

"Call him, we can pick him up."

"Are you sure you want to do this?" I asked and I looked at Aaliyah who simply shrugged.

I called Troy and he picked up after sometime.

"Hey, baby girl." he said. "What's up?"

"Hi Troy..." I looked nervously at Evan who signalled me to carry on. "My friends and I were wondering if you would like to hang out with us, today?"

"Is that hot guy going to be there?" he asked in a teasing tone.

"We're going to his place."

"My mom and I are out doing groceries, send me the address. I'll be there."

"Are you sure?" I asked.

"Yes." he said. "See you, baby girl."

"So...." Evan waited for me to say something.

"He's out doing grocery shopping, but he said he will come over after that."

"Perfect." Evan smirked a little as he slowly pulled back to the traffic.

"I have to send Everett's address to him, though. Are you sure Everett will be fine with that?"

"He throws party all the time. I'm sure he's curious about Troy, just like we are." and for a moment, I felt like it was a bad idea. It's like Evan was trying to provoke Everett all over, again.

"What took you guys so long?" Bloom asked as soon as we pulled up in the driveway.

Everett looked at me, waiting for answer.

"We invited her last date, over here." Evan said with a smug expression and I watched Everett's expression. His jaw was tensed and his body became stiffed.

"Did you?" Everett looked at me.

"We were curious who Troy is and I'm sure you must be curious as well." Evan said.

I knew it was not a good idea to invite Troy over. Its like I'm teasing Everett.

Everett's house was much more beautiful than the last time I was here. It was neater, brighter and cleaner. The party made his house looked slightly messier.

A middle-aged man with dark hair and handsome face, approached us.

"Master Everett." he greeted him. "You were missing this morning."

"I know." Everett give him an apologetic look. "I went to visit a friend." and looked at me with a smile.

The man looked at me for a moment and give me a polite smile.

"Mr. Harper, its been sometime." Evan said.

"Master Evan, you haven't been visiting us for a while." Mr. Harper said.

"Yes, Everette was being a d*ck to me." Evan snitched on Everette.

"Was he?" Mr. Harper looked at Everett who rolled his eyes.

"Everett punched Evan." Bloom opened her mouth and Mr. Harper looked at Everett with a fatherly look.

"It's in the past." I said. "They made up and now they're friends."

Mr. Harper give me a small knowing smile. "Who's this young lady?"

"Hello, Mr. Harper. I'm Emily."

"So nice to finally meet you." he shake my head and I give him a confused look.

We all introduced our self to him.

''I will prepare some snacks. Any allergies? Food restrictions?"

We all looked at each other. "None." Evan said.

"Perfect." Mr. Harper said.

"We're expecting another friend who will be arriving later, His name is Troy." Evan said.

"Okay, I will bring him in once he's here." Mr. Harper said and smiled lovingly at us.

Everett lead us to his large gaming room, that had arcades, big screen and much more.

"Sweet." Bloom said as she clapped her hand in delight.
