I hug my books to my chest and hurry down the hall. In my haste I fail to notice the janitor door about to slam in my face. I quickly move out of the way as two people come out of room. I gasp when I realize that it's Zack coming out of the room, with a giggling girl in tow. She has brown hair with it buzzed on the sides.

"Zack what's going on?" I ask looking between the girl and him.

"Nothing babe." He reassures scooping me in a hug. The girl leaves without a backwards glance.

"What were you guys doing in there?"

"She was just giving me the answers to some homework I forgot to do. I didn't want the teachers to see."

"Oh, ok." I respond. I can't help but notice a slight red mark starting to grow under on his neck.

"We're going to go out tonight. I'll pick you up at eight." I nod in agreement. He smiles and bends down to give me a quick kiss. "See ya."

All of a sudden waves roll through my vision and I'm sitting in Zack's car. It's the night and I'm dressed in a tight black dress.

"Zack, how come we never just do movie nights, under the covers, you know at home?"

"What fun would that be?" He asks giving me a sideways glance. I open my mouth to answer but he raises his hand to sush me. "Just chill babe." I keep my mouth closed as we approach a drive in movie. "Get out."

I obey as we both get out. He climbs onto the hood of the car so I do as well. He lays down so I lay next to him.

"Ashley your so hot. You know that?" He says pulling me closer.

"Mm hmm." He crashes his lips to mine while I morph into his body. I'm starting to notice now most of our dates are just us making out in public. I miss how sweet he used to be, us just hanging out, not constant make out sessions.

Just then I hear the click of a camera as Zack is pulling down my dress.

"Wait." I say looking up. It's hard to see since it's so dark but I hear another click.

"Just ignore it babe." Zack tries to pull me down to him but I jump off the hood instead and finally see the man with the camera. Once I pull him into the light I stumble once I realize who it is.

"Drew?" I whisper.

He gives me an evil smirk and nods. "It's me Barbie."

"What are you doing here?"

"Zack hired me." I turn to Zack.

"You don't really think I liked you, did you?" Zack asks in disbelief. "You were just there so I could get some fame. So I could get my name in the paper. Your to fat and ugly and defiantly not good enough for me." I stumble back feeling the blows to my chest. A foot catches on mine and I actually fall.

Caitlyn than stands before me laughing. Drew and Zack join in. Ryan comes from behind Zack and joins in there laughter. By now I can barley see then through my sobs.

Suddenly the three of them turn into mirrors and reflect me. My stomach is rolling out of my dress and my arms are like balloons.

"This is what I see when I look at you!" Zacks voice calls.

"This is what we all see when we look at you!" All their voices say together. I cover my eyes and let a scream.

~

I scream as I whip up from my sheets. Sweat is all over my body and my cheeks are damp with tears. My heart is beating a mile a minute.

It was just a dream.

After the whole fiasco with Ryan I had run to my car and drove home. Nina tried to comfort me but I just went up to my room and purged my entire guts out. From there I slipped into bed.

I was so stupid, to think Ryan liked me, to think Zack liked me. But no! It was all for the fame. If I were skinny and pretty, this wouldn't happen. But I will not make that mistake again. And I will not waste tears on them. I did that enough when Zack and I originally broke up.

No way am I going back to sleep so I crawl under my bed and grab my guitar. I strum quietly just to calm my thumping heart.

"Never again. Never again. Never agian." I chant to myself. I'll be damned if I let it happen again.

"Ashley I'm so sorry." Quinn cries. "Ryan, he just seemed so nice and I never thought what happened with Zack would happen again. You're so funny and sweet and totally awesome. I promise guys will see past that."

"Don't bet on it." I reply weakly. This morning I just slipped on sweatpants and a oversized t-shirt. Today all my imperfections are more prominent to me. Flashing in my face like a big red light.

"I'm going to. You look like you need a hug." Quinn wraps her arms around me. I flinch when her arms touch my back. "Ash, your skin and bones." She gasps. I wiggle out of her grasp.

"I'm not. Just please let me be." She nods in understanding, but her worried look doesn't go away.

"I know how to get you mind off this. I have a dance competition on Saturday. You should come."

"Why not." I shrug as the bell rings. We part ways and I head to my third hour. No way on God's earth am I sitting next to Ryan. I march up Mr. Helgrim and knock on his desk to get his attention.

"I would like a new seat." He tips his little old man glasses down and eyes me.

"Not going to happen Miss Roberts."

"Well I guess I could call my Dad and-" His eyes go wide.

"That won't be nessasry. You can take this seat right hear in the front." I thank him and take the seat.

When the class starts I can practically feel Ryan's eyes boring a whole in my head.

"Welcome class!" Mrs. Smith calls. "Today marks the one week mark on our opposites assignment. You have two weeks left. By now you should have about seven pictures done. Today you guys can just figure out when to meet up." I don't make a move to get up from my position of laying on my table.

Mrs. Smith had given me a weird look at the beginning of class but never made me sit in my seat.

Drew's face comes and obstructs my view of the ceiling.

"Watch ya doing?" He asks. I don't answer. "Okay than, scoot over." I don't move. Drew shoves me over and lays next to me. "So, what's wrong."

"Why would I tell you?" I ask looking at him sideways.

"I don't know. Why not?"

"Well Drew you get to say it."

"Say what?"

"I told you so." His face brightens but than darkens.

"You went out with that low life?" He growls.

"Yup." I say fixing my gaze back up to the ceiling.

"Ashley, didn't I tell you he's a player?"

"Sorry Dad. I should have listened." I snap.

"What happened?" He asks, voice growing tender.

"It's really none of your business." He nods in understanding.

"Just promise me you won't go near him again."

"Trust me, that won't be a problem.

"Good. Let's do a pic sesh tomorrow." He suggests, satisfied with my answer.

"Can't. I'm going to Quinn's dance competion."

"That's a great place to get opposites. Meet you there?" I shrug. "Cool. Bye Barbie." He gets up to go to his friends but the weight of him getting up cause me to roll off the desk to the floor.

"Ahh!"

"Barbie, you okay?" Drew asks with concern rounding around the desk.

"Just shnazy." This day just keeps getting better and better.
