Important A/N at the end. It's not very long, but please read it and respond in the comments. Thank you!

Pans POV

I was in Storybrooke, looking for new lost boys. The curse had recently been broken, so there where many boys who knew they were actually from the enchanted forest. I walked through the shadows of the streets and alleys, trying not to be seen. Previously, I had my shadow take some boys back to NeverLand, but I wasn't quite done with my quest. As I was treading by the many lines of houses, I heard something.

A cry...

I followed the sound for a moment, until I came across a bundle of white blanket on the ground. There was a note on the bundle. As I picked it up, unfolding it as I lifted it into the light.

To whoever finds this, this is Y/N. She's a sweet, healthy baby girl, but I can't take care of her. Please give her a good home and a family who will love her. Thank you.

I stared down at the crying infant, my eyebrows furrowing in confusion, but somewhere in that black heart of mine, I felt compassion. Leaning down, I picked up the child, moving the blanket from her face so I could see her. She instantly wrapped her tiny hand around my finger, her cries slowing down.

"Shhhhhh." She smiled up at me, before her sobs turned into hiccups, causing me to chuckle.

"Y/N." I repeated. "Let's go, princess. Off to NeverLand."

Third person POV

It had been years, now Y/N was 6. Peter had worked out a deal with the shadow to allow her to age until she was 16(for the sake of the story) so she was still growing.

Her little feet padded across Peters hut floor, her face just barely reaching his bed side.

"Daddy." She whispered, tugging on his sheets.

"Hmm?" He groaned, not opening his eyes.

"Come play with me!" Peter pried open one of his eyes, shuffling closer to her.

"The sky isn't even awake yet, princess."

"Please?" She pleaded. "Please please please please-"

"Fine." Y/N squealed in excitement, opening her arms and jumping impatiently once Peter rolled out of bed. He scooped her up with a smile. He may have only rescued her, but she was his little girl. She and Peter walked to the top of dead mans peek and were gazing at the stars in the NeverLand sky. Peter had offered to carry her, but being the stubborn little girl she was, she was determined to do it on her own, she picked up that trait from Peter. But the walk had made her grow very tired and she ended up falling asleep in his lap, of course Peter knew she would. She always did.

He gently picked her up, using magic to teleport the two of them back to camp. He carried her to her tent, laying her on the bed. Y/N's eyes fluttered open when her back hit the bed. But suddenly, the wind outside blew though her tent, snuffing out the little candle that was lit. Her fear off the dark overtook her, and she started searching desperately for Peters hand.

"Daddy?!"

"Shhhhhhh." Her eyes adjusted to the dim moonlight, allowing her to make out Peters body kneeling next to her bed. He slowly pet her head, coaxing her back to sleep.

"It's okay, princess. Daddy's here."

Time skip

"DADDY!" 10 year old Y/N jumped on top of Peters sleeping body, nearly giving him a heart attack.

"Y/N! You scared me!"

"Come on! Get up! You promised!" She whined.

"What are you talking about?" He asked, rubbing his eyes as he sat up with her in his lap.

"Your promised you would teach me how to shoot a bow today! Now, come on!" Y/N yanked him out of bed without an answer, but after the many years of early morning wake ups with her, he was used to it.

When they reached the training site, Y/N could barely contain her excitement. She wanted so badly to be like the lost boys, to train and fight like them, but Peter told her she had to wait until she was older. Now, today was finally the day. It made Peter so happy to see her so determined, she always had this aura about her. She was some one you wanted to be around. She picked up on Peters fire and sass through the years, sure, but she was so playful, kind, and gentle.

Adventurous like Peter...

Determined like Peter...

Strong like Peter...

But, caring... Like Peter...

"Come on, princess. You can do it." It had been hours and Y/N refused to quit until she hit the bullseye. "Just aim slightly to the r-" she let the arrow fly, cutting off her fathers words completely. To her amazement, it went straight into the center.

"YES!" She squealed. All the lost boys, that we're now nearly finished with their training, started cheering, huddling around her and one sitting her on his shoulder. Peter smiled to himself, enjoying seeing her so happy with what she'd been able to accomplish.

"That's my girl."

Normally, Y/N would help Peter pick up after the training session, but this time, Peter couldn't find her. He assumed she went back to the camp, talking and playing with the lost boys, so he just continued to work on his own. And as he was on his way back to the camp, he found her, curled up under a tree, sleeping.

He smiled, chuckling at how exhausted she was. Sweat was lining her forehead, her boots were coated with grime, and her arms had a thin layer of dirt covering them, but he didn't care.

Peter scooped her up and carried her back to her tent, laying her on the bed. He used a cool wet cloth to wipe the sweat and dirt off her face and arms before she started to squirm around, murmuring in her sleep. He assumed she was having a nightmare, due to her kicking around, so he softly shook her until her sleep returned to normal.

"It's okay, princess." He lightly kissed her forehead. "Daddy's here."
