The bright sunshine peeked through the window and right onto Persephone's face, further waking up the groggy girl, head pounding from the massive hangover she was experiencing.

Her body froze as she felt someone next to her move, arm pulling itself from underneath her - she had no idea how she didn't notice that at first. Raking her brain for memories of what happened the previous night, a smile stretched onto her face, she and her childhood crush had gotten drunk and one thing led to the other.

She had lost her virginity to the love of her life and she couldn't be happier.

The man beside her sat up and she turned towards him, grinning till her cheeks hurt.

"Morning." She greeted in a hoarse voice, suddenly feeling very dehydrated.

His head whipped to the side and his eyes widened as they spotted her, "Persephone?" He coughed out and jumped out of the bed as if he got burnt, pulling his pants on in a rush.

"Yeah?" She looked at him in suspicion, pulling herself up to a sitting position.

"This was never supposed to happen, I'm so sorry." He ran his hands through his blonde hair, looking anywhere but at her.

"What are you talking about?" She forced out an uncomfortable laugh.

"You're like a sister to me, I don't like you that way," He spoke slowly, thinking his words through before he said it.

"I know," She continued to smile, "jeez, just because I slept with you doesn't mean I like you that way." Persephone lied through her teeth, rolling her eyes and pulling the blanket up to cover herself.

"Good then." He smiled and walked to the bathroom, shutting the door behind him.

Falling back onto the bed, she clenched her teeth together, willing herself not to cry as she felt her heart slowly breaking in her chest.
