After a good night's rest I woke up to my vision no longer being blurry. Pushing myself out of bed I stretch my hands out and hear them crack. Getting out of bed I change into a black t-shirt shirt with the words 'Karasuno' written on the back and a pair of black shorts. I then grabbed my school jacket and my bags before heading out. Today was the first day of the school wide volleyball tournament and to be honest, I was a little nervous. There would be no classes for today, during the first period everyone would pile into the buses and we would head to the Tokyo Metropolitan Gymnasium. Since there are six teams, three games will be played at once and then after an hour break another game will be played against two teams for a spot in the finals while the other team gets a free pass. Opening my class door I saw my teammates clustered together, all of us were wearing matching outfits.

"We're twining~" Kagera said jokingly and I laughed.

"You guys ready?" I asked and they all nodded. Tobio looked the most excited. "Tobio you look like a dog wagging its tail happily."

Tobio blushed and screamed, "(Y-Y/N) you boke!"

Ah, I've been reduced to Shoyo's level, I thought to myself and dramatically clutched my heart and wiped a tear from my eye.

"(N/N) you're so funny!" Amu chirped up and I patted her head to which she pouted. "Are you ready captain?"

"Captain?!" I blurted out shocked. The word felt foriegn to me because the word captain doesn't suit me like it would to Sei. It was a nice feeling, but at the same time I felt weird.

"Oh are you embarrassed?" Kaito added on nudging my shoulder. "We'll be calling you captain all tournament then!"

"W-What?!" I spat out, flustered. "Please don't!"

"I apologize (Y/N)," Yuki said and I felt like I was betrayed when I saw him smirk evilly at me. "The majority vote says we call you captain."

I groaned and headbutted Tobio who froze. I looked up at him as he looked down at me. "Let's have fun... Captain."

"TOBIO YOU TRAITOR! I CAN'T TRUST ANY OF YOU ANYMORE!" I screamed and ruffled my blond hair.

They all laughed at me, including Tobio and Yuki. I felt betrayed, but I laughed with them, a small smile plastered on my face. Soon enough the teacher came in the room and the bell rang. She took attendance and then in an orderly fashion we walked outside and onto the bus. Since we were the representatives of the school we would have to sit in the front in order to get out first. During the bus ride Amu and Kaito talked to each other while Kagera slept besides Yuki who was reading. Tobio was doing his nails, making sure his nails were short, while I was looking out of the window.

We eventually arrived at the Tokyo Metropolitan Gymnasium and one by one student's got off their buses. Our classmates and fellow peers walked to the stands while my team and I walked towards the waiting area where the other teams were. When we walked through that door I immediately felt eyes on us, afterall we were the last team to arrive. I walked toward an empty area and placed my bag down, my team followed.

Turning to my team I said, "We got twenty minutes until the games start so don't walk away too far, okay?"

"Understood captain~" Kagera said while placing his bag down and throwing an arm around Yuki's shoulder. "We are going to the vending machine. Later."

While Yuki and Kagera walked away Kaito and Amu told me that they were going to talk to some friends before the games. That left Tobio and I alone in our small area. We both sat down on a wooden bench and I looked around the room, analyzing everyone.

"You're tense," Tobio said beside me and I shrugged my shoulders.

"A little nervous, I don't want to mess up badly."

"You will be fine captain," he replied and I pursed my lips. "You have skills and are a great player offensively and defensively."

"Thanks Tobio," I muttered and sigh, pushing my long hair back. "We are playing against Johzenji High. I heard that they are second years, so at least we aren't the only school that doesn't have a third year rep."

"They have the volleyball ace on their team, so I wouldn't fully underestimate them," a voice said from beside me and it wasn't Tobio's.

We both look over to see a brown haired boy wearing a smile. Oikawa Toru. "Oikawa-san/Toru-senpai," Tobio and I said at the same time and we glanced at each other for a brief moment. Oikawa then sits down next to me on the bench, putting me in the middle of the two boys.

"Yahoo~ Tobio-chan, (Y/N)-chan," he replied with a small wave.

"What are you doing here?" Tobio asked, a scowl on his face.

"My class is representing Tobio-chan," Oikawa answered and he then smirked. "So it looks like you made it too. (Y/N)-chan how does my dearest kohai act on the court with you guys?"

I think about it for a moment. My eyes meet Oikawa's and his smirk widens. "If I had to describe it in one word, I'd say... obedient?"

"...Eh?" They both blurted out and I shook my head.

"Obedient isn't the right word..." I mutter and put my hand to my chin. "Hrm... I'd say Tobio is playing great. His setting is amazing and he is very patient with us, accommodating to our needs and likes. He's trustworthy."

"(Y/N)..." Tobio muttered and I put my hand on his shoulder.

"Toru-senpai, you shouldn't worry about Tobio, afterall he has us," I continued and sent him a grin. "Besides, he isn't the only threat you should be worrying about."

"Hmmm," Oikawa hummed and his smirk disappeared, his lips forming a straight line. "Well, I can't wait to see what you can do (Y/N)-chan."

We both look each other straight in the eye. The air around us is tense and everyone can sense it, even Tobio doesn't want to jump in due to the intense aura.

"Toru Oikawa," a deep voice says and the two of us look away from each other and to the sound of the voice.

"Geh, Ushiwaka-chan," Oikawa blurts out and I analyze the tall teen standing in front of us. A hostile aura surrounds the area around us as the two stare at each other in silence. "What is it?"

"......You should have come to Shitorizawa," he says and Oikawa shrieks while Tobio and I sweatdrop.

I then take a closer look at the olive eyed teen in front of us and exclaim, "Oh! You're that guy from the store!"

He then turns to me and he narrows his eyes. "Kise Ryouta's sister," he responds and I smile. "I am Ushijima Wakatoshi."

"Kise (Y/N)," I say. "(Y/N) is fine."

"Ehhh?! Kise Ryouta that model?" another voice comes into our conversation and I see a boy with spiky red hair. "He's suuuuuper popular! The girls in our class won't stop talking about him."

"Er- Who are you?" I asked, confused and a little surprised at his sudden appearance.

"I'm Tendou Satori! Nice to meet you!" he says and I give a small smile.

"Nice to meet you too Satori-senpai," I reply and he blinks in surprise.

"Ahhh! What a cute kohai!" Tendou shouts and I sweatdrop.

"Oiii captain!" a voice shouts and I turn to see Amu waving her arm around. "Captain, Tobio! C'mon!"

I groan as the eyes turn towards me. "We should go, captain." Tobio taunts and I punch his shoulder making him yelp.

"I am no longer treating you guys to lunch," I hiss out, making Amu and Tobio shiver. "Keep making fun of me and you'll regret it."

"Captain?" Ushijima asks and I sigh.

"I'm the captain for our team," I explain and run a hand through my blond hair before standing up. "Well, let's go Tobio, games are about to start," I say and start to walk away with Amu and Tobio trailing behind me. "Good luck senpais. I'll be seeing you guys on the court."

Toru POV

Tobio-chan isn't captain? I thought to myself as I looked at their departing figures. I have a bad feeling about her, calling him obedient and him treating her with respect.

"I wonder how good she is on the court if she can control my little kohai easily," I mutter out loud making the two Shitorizawa players narrow their eyes at me.

I then turn to them and stick out my tongue. "See you on the court idiots! We definitely won't lose!"
