"Damnnn, they really are the stars of the show," I drawled out, leaning my chin on my hand. "Are we just the side characters in this world?" Ukai deadpanned at me while Kiyoko sighed, shaking her head with a slight smile. "What? It's true though!" I pouted, throwing my hands out to gesture at the two who just scored the winning point. "See now they're posing!"

"The hell're you posing for... don't try to look cool, tardy failing grade duo," Tanaka growled and both Kageyama and Hinata flinched, faces darkening.

Ukai sighed, probably regretting making me an assistant coach. "You're imagining it." 'Yeah no way in hell I am. I shall escape from this world and break past the fourth wall.'

(A/N : NOPE BACK ON TRACK!)

"It's been 9 sets and we finally won one... We don't have to do the penalty for once," Dachi said and I handed him a towel.

"I'm starved!" "Fight-o guys."

Tanaka wiped the sweat from his face. "Over there is Ubuwaga High against Nekoma, huh. Time wise that's probably the last game for today."

"Yaku-san!" "Nice receive!" "One blocker!"

"Huh..." Hinata blurted out. "Inuoka is on the bench?"

I looked over, eyes slightly widening when I saw the new player from Nekoma spike the high set ball. 'His hand was like a whip... He seems like the tallest compared to all the players here.'

"Wow..."

"That #11 is hunched over, so it's not easy to tell but... He's pretty tall. Probably around 190?"

"Those arms and legs are sure long..."

"What in the world is he?" I deadpanned when I heard someone mutter that. 'He's human guys.'

After watching the rest of Nekoma's game, they were able to win the set 25-20.

"Seriously, what the heck are they. Karasuno's short middle blocker and that setter."

"They sure made a fool of you, huh."

"SHUDDAP! Why don't you try doing something with that quick strike right in front of your face! Before you know it, you'll have no friggin' clue what happened!"

"Well," a certain owl said grinning. "Seems like this year is gonna be interesting."

I hummed, casually strolling into the empty cafeteria. I was hungry and wanted a late night snack that I could eat before I went back to my room. The other managers seemed nice and I didn't get to talk to them yet since I was busy with talking with Ukai and Takeda-sensei about the boys and their games.

"Hmm... Food~! Food! What shall I eat~?" I sang under my breath, skipping happily behind the counter and into the kitchen. I looked into the fridge

"Hey hey hey! Yakiniku sounds good!"

"I could go for some yakiniku right now~" I hummed. "But there's no meat-" I paused, whipping my head around so fast that I thought I heard it crack. The fridge door slammed closed. Literally right behind me, face to face, was another face.

I screamed.

"AHHHH!"

And then he screamed.

"GAAAAAAAH!"

"WHY ARE YOU SCREAMING!?"

"I'M SCREAMING SINCE YOU'RE SCREAMING! WHY ARE YOU SCREAMING?!"

"I'M SCREAMING BECAUSE YOU SCARED ME! I'M NOW EVEN MORE SCARED AT THE FACT THAT YOU SOUND LIKE MY BROTHER!"

"IS THAT SO? I'M SORRY FOR SCARING YOU!"

"IT'S ALL GOOD! LET'S STOP SCREAMING NOW OKAY, THE OTHERS MIGHT GET MAD."

"OKAY!"

We went silent, stopping our screaming. Taking a deep breath I pushed the male back slightly. "Too close man, you freaked me out." When he backed up I saw that he had bi-colored whitish-grey and black hair along with golden colored eyes

"Sorry sorry!" he cheerfully replied, laughing. "I saw you enter the cafeteria and was curious."

I shrugged my shoulders. "I was a little hungry and wanted some snacks," I answered, opening the fridge and grabbing some pudding. "Want some?"

"Yes! Thank you," he replied and we both leaned against the counter, happily eating our pudding.

"Oh yeah." I blinked looking over the male who stopped stuffing his face and looked back at me. "Who are you?"

He pulled the spoon from his mouth and then grinned at me, pointing his thumb to his chest. "Listen up I'm Bokuto Kotaro, one of the top 5 aces in the country and the amazing ace of Fukurodani!"

"Oooh!" My eyes sparkled. "Nice to meet you Kotaro-senpai! You must be really good at volleyball to be in the top five. I'm Kise (Y/N), call me (Y/N)."

He laughed, blushing as his ego grew from my words. "Hahaha! Of course my kohai! It's nice to meet you (Y/N)!"

"Bokuto-san," a voice said near the doorway and the two of us turned around, I visibly brightened at the new person joining us.

"Keiji-senpai!" "AKAAAASHI!"

"You know Akaashi?" "Yep yep!"

Akaashi looked at me. "Hello (Y/N)-san."

I pouted. "Mou! Just call me (Y/N)!" I cheekily grinned. "Anyways hello senpai! Do you also want some pudding?"

He shook his head. "I was looking for Bokuto-san and heard some screaming from the cafeteria so I came here to check. I don't want him to cause any trouble while we are here."

I nodded in understanding. "So a babysitter," I translated and he nodded.

"AKAAAASHI (Y/NNNNNN)!" Bokuto whined, seeming to slump down. "I don't need a babysitter! HMPH!" he crossed his arms, pouting like a child. "I don't care anymore! Stupid Akaashi!"

'Eh...' I tiled my head. 'How did his personality just switch like that... Stupid Akaashi? Is he a child right now. He should have said Bakaashi instead for a better insult.'

The ever ethereal being, Akaashi, sighed.

'If he goes into emo mode now before sleeping then he will stay up all night and that will cause him to not play good tomorrow. What method can I use.' Akaashi then looked over at me and I tilted my head. "Bokuto-san please cheer up. (Y/N)-san" I sent him a look and he coughed before continuing to speak. "(Y/N) here would want you to be happy and get to know you."

Instantly he perked up. "Is that so?" he turned towards me and I unsurely grinned. "HEY HEY HEY! You could have just said so (Y/N)!"

"Y-Yeah?" I blurted out, looking at Akaashi in confusion. He stared at me, sending a single nod which seemed to convey, 'If you would.'

I looked back at Bokuto, putting on a smile since Akaashi seemed desperate to make him stop slumping. "Yeah! You're really cool Kotoro-senpai!"

"AHAHA! Of course!" 'Mood swing avoided.'

"Oi! What are you three doing here? The kitchen is closed!"

Akaashi looked over. "I apolog-" Bokuto and I grabbed his arms, which made him stop talking and we started dragging the black haired male as we ran to scram.

"Kotaro-senpai, Keiji-senpai we gotta dip!"

"AGAAASHI RUUUN!"

"Ngnh... I don't want to wake up," I whined, stuffing my head into my pillow. "Let me sleep." 'We got lectured last night after Kotaro-senpai tripped over a rock (which I have named Gary) and fell onto the both Keiji-senpai and I, making us get caught.' "I'm tireddddd."

"(Y-Y/N) we have to get up!" Yachi stuttered out, shaking me with little to none force. "P-Please..."

I groaned, feeling pity for the girl as she had to wake me up. Me, a heavy sleeper who would normally snap at someone if they had woken me up, but since I didn't want to snap at Yachi and make her cry, I had to get up. Groaning, I push my body up from the futon and kick the covers off. I yawned, scratching my head.

Hearing a snort, I groggily look over to Fukurodani's older manager, Shirofuku Yukie. "Pfft. That's some bad hair (Y/N)," she said, chuckingly and I let out another yawn.

"It really is crazy..." Suzumeda Kaori commented, the other managers nodding in agreement. "How does it stick up like that?"

"It defies gravity..." Kiyoko mumbled.

Ruffling my hair, I stood up. "My bed hair is nothing compared to Tetsu's," I replied. "I'm going to get dressed, see you guys in the gym."

The other managers waved, going off first as I got dressed and used the bathroom. Walking over to the gym, I helped set up the nets and scoreboards.

"(Y/N) we're going to start soon," Suga called and I walked over. "Mind helping us warm up."

"Alright, an order of left and right handed spikes coming your way," I replied and the third years sweatdropped.

"We just need help with stretching (Y/N)," Asahi muttered and I blinked.

"Oh, coulda just said so." 'Your first assumption was to spike volleyballs at us.'

How cruel.

"Hinata!" "Fweet!"

"Karasuno seems more collected than they were during Golden Week," Naoi complimented. "Not to mention, #10's quick strike is the same as ever."

"Hmm that's true, they've got an overall feeling of stability now," Nekomata responded. 'But is that really enough for you, Karasuno? You suffered defeat with your current level of power, didn't you? Isn't that why you came here to get stronger?'

Lev ran up, jumping into the air and spiking the ball down. Hinata who saw this from his court gawked.

"Sorry I spoke so casually. I got caught up in the moment," Lev said to Kenma.

"I keep telling you that I don't care about that sorta thing. More importantly, it's problematic if you call out for a broad all of the sudden," Kenma said with a sigh.

"So that's called a broad, huh! Cool! Still... ("That broad was off the cut?") I pulled it off, didn't I?"

"That's because I'm Nekoma's ace."

"A center... ace," Hinata whispered and Coach Nekomata looked at him from over his shoulder.

'In order to become strong, are they pursuing stability or...'

"Hey Gramps, do you want to know why I quit playing sports?" a thirteen year old, almost fourteen, (Y/N) suddenly said, breaking the silence between them at the dinner table Nekomata looked up at her, curious as to why she brought this up finally. "It's because I kept growing... I kept going through-"

'Evolution?'
