"I knew it!" I seeth out as Tobio carried me over his shoulder like a bag of potatoes. "Dammit Tobio! Let me go!" I hit my fists against his back and squirmed in his hold, making him frown.

"Stop moving (Y/N) or you're going to fall," he said and adjusted his grip on me as he ran.

"No! Let me gooooo!"

So, how did I get into this situation again?

Flashback

I slid the classroom door open making the attention turn to me. My classmates immediately started to greet me and bring up multiple conversation topics. The biggest topic was about the tournament and how our team did so good. So far it was a good day, the usual banter with my classmates, same lunch with a new addition of a slice of cake. It was just another school day. However, there was one thing that I noticed which was different. Kageyama Tobio was acting weird. Not to say that he wasn't weird, but he was acting weird around me. He would occasionally glance at me and mutter something before turning away. He did this multiple times throughout the day.

"Neh (N/N)~," Kagera called out to me. After the tournament he had started to call me with a nickname like Amu. "Is it just me or has Tobio been glancing at you all day?"

I sighed and ran a hand through my hair, pushing it back. "So you noticed as well?" I frowned slightly with a wry smile. "I don't know why. Did I make him mad or something?"

Kagera let out a hum and then smirked teasingly. "Did he develop a crush on you~?" I snorted, combined with a cough and a laugh which caused me to start to choke on my drink. Kagera smacked my back hard and I coughed a few more times before I could breathe again.

My face was slightly red, a mix from being embarrassed and from almost dying by choking. My ears were burning pink, though, not like anyone could see due to my hair covering them. "What? No way man, who would have a crush on me?"

He looked at me and gave a hearty sigh. "Saa~ You are so sharp in other people's love lives yet you seem to be dense in your own." Kagera gave me an exasperated look. "I pity the guys who fall in love with you."

"Bitch what-?" I blurted out and Kagera patted my head before he ruffled my hair causing it to become a bird's nest.

"I'm going to talk to Yuki," he said and got off my desk which he was sitting on. "Go talk to your seatmate." Kagera walked away with a wave and threw an arm around Yuki's shoulder, who was interacting with Kaito and Amu.

I looked away from the four and glanced at Tobio who was once again looking at me. He avoided my gaze. Having enough, I stood up and walked to him. "Hey Tobio," I said and the boy looked up at me. "Is there something you want to tell me? You've been looking at me all day."

He seemed flustered to have been caught. "Ah... W-Well..." The bell signaling the end of the school day rang and Tobio stood up, standing at full height. "I apologize for this (Y/N)!"

I raised an eyebrow. "Huh? Why are you apologizing? It's not like you're going to do a cliche scene by throwing me over your shoulder and-

Tobio grabbed his bag and then picked me up, slinging me over his shoulder. He did exactly what I thought he would. I screamed. "I'm sorry!" he yelled and grabbed my bag as well before running out of the classroom.

"Dammit Tobio!"

End of Flashback

"So you kidnapped me for what?!" I hissed out, outraged. Now, usually I don't get mad. I always have a smile on my face because it wastes energy to get mad. I also hate getting mad, it's such a pain. If it were any other day I'd laugh about getting kidnapped. But... I was pissed for a certain reason. "I'm going to miss the online sale for an early release of the My Hero Academia nindroid of a season 5 Shinso!"

"What-?" Tobio blurted out, confused.

I groaned as I hung off his shoulder, my arms swaying side to side. "Forget it, you wouldn't understand my weebness you volleyball idiot!" I smacked his back and I heard him grunt.

He then slowed down his pace and with his foot he slid open the gym door. It opened with a bang, making everyone look at us. "I've got (Y/N)!" he shouted.

I screeched. "You are the ones who put him up to this!" I pointed an accusing finger at the team when Tobio put me down onto the ground. "Tobio would never do this to me otherwise!" I grabbed my bag from him and slung it over my shoulder after I pulled out my phone. "Because of you all I'm going to be late!"

I could feel them all give me judging gazes, but I ignored them. This bitch had priorities. And that priority was being a weeb and spending adult money to buy anime merch.

"U-Um... (Y/N)-san," I heard someone say and glanced up for a moment to see Daichi-senpai trying to get my attention.

"It's just (Y/N)." My fingers moved fast against the keyboard. "If any of you add -san, -chan, or any other honorific then I won't answer to you. I hate honorifics."

Daichi-senpai coughed and then gave me a dad smile. "Sorry for dragging you here like that (Y/N). We didn't know if you would come willingly or not." He put his hands on his hips and gave a closed eye smile. "To keep it short, we wanted you to join the team as a manager."

"No thanks," I answered bluntly as I confirmed my order for the Shinso nindroid. I put away my phone with a relieved smile before looking at Daichi-senpai. "I don't do sports."

"Ehh?! B-But you were like FWOOM and BAMM! And WHAM during the tournament!" Shoyo shouted and I again sweatdropped at his lack of vocabulary. He's like a little kid... I need glasses for how bright he is shining, I thought to myself as I squinted my eyes.

"Yeah!" Yu-senpai shouted in agreement, sliding next to Shoyo. "You have some serious skills and I heard rumors about you from my classmates about how you are amazing at sports!"

"Y-You never seem to try in gym class and yet you always beat everyone," a green haired boy said and I remembered him as Yamaguchi Tadashi. I looked him in the eye and he seemed to blush slightly as he fiddled with his fingers. Shy, I thought.

"Besides you aren't in a club yet," Ukai said, appearing in my vision and I narrowed my golden eyes at him. He was acting suspicious. "It's mandatory to join a club."

"And...?" I questioned, that gut feeling I had yesterday was returning to me.

"So we decided to sign you up as a student assistant coach for the team!" Takeda-sensei said happily and I froze. Where did he even come from? I questioned as he appeared behind me. He then walked to Ukai with a form in hand. My gaze focused on the form he was holding and I felt like I was drifting away from the universe as I went deadly pale.

"You... you signed me up... Without my permission?" I muttered and then I felt like I was smacked back into reality when I saw him nod along with Ukai, they were both smirking. "OI! I don't think you're allowed to do that!" I snapped. Isn't that illegal?! "I'll report this to the dean!"

"Ahh about that..." He smiled at me. He fucking smiled. I paled and the gut feeling took over me. I didn't want to hear his next words, I knew what he was going to say and I was terrified. "The dean allowed it. He said it would be wonderful to have a player like you help out the volleyball team." The dean was dead to me and God was dead to me. DEAD.

"Welcome to the team (Y/N)!" the boys shouted in unison and bowed down to me when they lined up in front of me. Kiyoko-senpai was holding a black Karasuno jacket that had the words 'Karasuno Volleyball Club' and 'Student Assistant Coach' engraved into it. They were prepared. OVERLY prepared. I gasped, they had planned this after the tournament in three days! They planned this in three days and successfully acted on it!

My mouth opened and closed. I probably looked like a gaping fish, but I didn't care at the moment. I was trying to get over the initial shock and anger of getting signed up to a sports team without my permission.

My mouth opened and I then let out the most horrifying, cringe-eating scream I could muster.

I gagged when Shoyo started to gag. If he started to throw up then I was going to puke in my mouth because of him. I hate throwup and just the smell of it. I gagged thinking about it.

"He better not throw up," I mumbled under my breath and leaned against the window. I heard Kiyoko giggle. I let out a snort and gave her a smile. I had warmed up to the beautiful third year manager. Even though she was shy and soft-spoken, we actually got along surprisingly well. "Kiyoko-senpai are you to stay at the inn with us?"

She shook her head. "My house is near here so I will be staying there," she answered and I chuckled.

"Ryu-senpai and Yu-senpai are going to be devastated." I laughed at the thought of their tear-stricken faces. Kiyoko smiled and she held back a giggle. She was probably thinking of a similar scene that I was imagining.

I looked at the window and evilly smirked to myself. Well, I might as well torture these boys with their training until they drop dead. They did force me to join their team, so I better act my job out as a student assistant coach. "Let's boost their training regime, yeah?"

A/N : Ah! Onwards to Golden Week and Nekoma! I had fun writing this chapter, especially with (Y/N)'s internal crisis. As the story goes on you will all see why she doesn't want to join sports teams. I also mentioned MHA this chap! I love the show and can't wait for the next manga chapter.  So many good animes are coming out this year and in 2021 and I'm squealing. I'm a simp ;) In the future I plan to do a MHA fanfic and another Haikyuu fanfic as well, I got my ideas for both of them written down on two docs. Once I'm finished with this story I plan to start writing chaps for those stories. Anyways, hoped you all enjoyed this chap see ya next week.
