I was currently riding a train to Tokyo wearing an oversized hoodie, sneakers, and shorts. I told my brother that I would be arriving in the city in the early afternoon so we could hang out the day before his game. After his game I would spend a few more hours in Tokyo before taking a late afternoon train back to Miyagi. The train soon stopped at my station and I forced myself off, trying to not bump into any of the passengers who were going on the train. My feet hit against the solid ground and I smiled to myself as I readjusted my hold on my sling bag which held two days worth of travel supplies.

"Now where the hell do I go now?" I blurted out as I looked around, internally crying that I wasted all my phone battery playing otome games during the train ride.

Weakness #1 : I have a terrible sense of direction.

I guess I'll walk around and ask some people for directions, I thought to myself and started to move out of the station and into the open. I walked for a while, taking in my surroundings, trying to remember some scenery from when I lived in the city. I smiled slightly when I saw a tennis court and players warming up.

"ARE YOU SERIOUS?!" a male's voice shouted and I flinched from how sudden it was. I looked over to see a boy with messy black hair and green eyes. He was wearing sports wear and had a tennis racket bag on his back. He seemed to be distressed as he talked to someone who looked like a tournament organizer.

"I-I'm sorry, but this is a doubles tournament, you will need a partner to enter," the man said to the boy and he groaned.

"My partner is running late! Can I just play by myself until he gets here?!" the boy asked, desperation in his voice.

I feel bad, I thought to myself and walked over to the two. "Um sorry to interrupt," I said and the two looked over to me. "He just needs a partner until he comes right?" the man nodded. "I can sub in until he comes." I looked toward the boy. "That's okay with you right?"

He smiled brightly and nodded. "Yes please! We can do that right?!" He turned towards the man with sparkling eyes.

"Y-Yes, then please sign up here with your team name," the man said and handed me a sheet of paper with a pen. I signed my name before handing it to the boy. With that, we were in the tournament.

"I owe you one!" the boy said to me and I waved my hand in the air.

"It's fine," I replied and smiled. "I"m Kise (Y/N). You can call me (Y/N)."

"I'm Kirihara Akaya! Nice to meet you (Y/N)," Akaya said and we shook hands. He then looked over at the bag I was carrying. "Did you just arrive in Tokyo?"

"Yeah, I'm visiting my brother for a day," I explained. "I'm lost so I decided to walk around and that was when I heard you shouting." He flushed slightly. "I mean I said I'll help, but do you have an extra racket or something?"

"Oh yeah," he said and unzipped his bag and handed me an extra racket. I grabbed it and put my hand around the grip, getting used to its size. I couldn't fully put my hand around it.

"Do you know how to play tennis?" Akaya asked, an eyebrow raised and I smiled.

"Used to dabble with it in the past." I spun the racket around in my left hand. "It was actually the first sport I played, Akaya."

He hummed and then suddenly whipped his head towards me. "Akaya?"

I raised an eyebrow at him. "Am I not allowed to call you that?"

"Nah, it's fine." He shrugged his shoulders and we placed our bags on the side and walked to the courts to warm-up. "So you're left handed (Y/N)?"

"I'm ambidextrous, but left is my main." I stretched out my legs and did a split. "You're right handed I guess?" He nodded. "So do you want to do one person in the front and one behind or side by side?"

"Well I'm an aggressive baseliner," Akaya explained and I hummed. "My partner Marui was supposed to be here, but he said he was going to be late."

"I'm guessing you two are on the same tennis team?" I asked.

"Yeah! I go to Rikkai Dai and I'm a regular on the tennis team. The only second year in fact!" he proudly stated and I smiled at his cheerful attitude.

"That's cool. When I used to play in middle school I remember them being a strong tennis school. Something about the Three Monsters?"

"That's Yukimura-buncho, Sanada-senpai and Yanagi-senpai." He smiled. "They are amazing. I plan to beat them all and become number one!"

I hummed and then a whistle blew that gained our attention. We both stopped stretching and circled around the organizer along with the other players. "On court one we have team Kirihara-Kise against team Tachibana!"

"Tachibana?" Akaya mumbled and I raised an eyebrow at him. He noticed my gaze. "The name sounds familiar, I think that he was the captain of Fudomine." We walked to our court and we saw a girl with short brown hair and a man with blond hair. A pair of siblings.

"Well then, let's begin," I mumbled to myself as the ref handed me the tennis ball to serve first.

Akaya took another glance at me. "Are you sure you can play tennis?"

I snorted. "Of course princess." He flinched at the word 'princess' and seemed to be reminiscing about something because he then shivered. "Just watch."

Third Person POV

"We're late!" Momoshiro Takeshi shouted as a tired Seishun Gakuen tennis team followed behind him to the tennis courts for the doubles tournament. Some players wanted to join in while others wanted to watch. "Ahhh this is all because of that damn Inui juice!"

"Well we can just watch," Fuji Shusuke said as he took a seat on the empty sidelines.

"Hey, aren't they the Tachibana siblings?" Eiji Kikumaru pointed out and then looked over at who they were playing. "What! That's Kirihara Akaya of Rikkai Dai!"

"Who is he playing with?" Inui Sadaharu asked as he squinted at (Y/N). "A girl?" He took out his notebook to take notes.

"Tezuka-buncho have you ever seen her before?" Ryoma Eichizen asked his captain and the stoic captain shook his head.

"Oh she is serving first," Fuji mumbled and the players watched her throw the ball up in the air before swinging down at it.

"Hey isn't that?!"

"A twist serve?! The regulars except for Fuji, Ryoma, and Tezuka shouted in shock.

Akaya looked at (Y/N) in shock and she shrugged her shoulders giving a grin. "Want to see some other serves as well?"

Oh shit, he thought to himself. He gave a smirk in return. "Let's see what you got (Y/N)!"

(Y/N) served the ball again. She spun the ball as she dropped it for an underhand serve. It wasn't as fast or as strong as her previous serve and the older Tachibana went to hit the ball back only for it to cut to the left and disappear.

"That's Fuji's disappearing serve!" Momoshiro shouted and leaned forward in amazement. "Who is this girl?"

"What's this? Akaya is playing with a girl?" A voice joined in and the Seishun Gakuen players turned around to see both the Rikkai Dai and Hyotei regulars behind them.

"Hyotei and Rikkai Dai?! What are you guys doing here?" Eiji asked, shocked at the sudden appearance of both rivals.

"Ore-sama was passing by and wanted to see the competition," Keigo Atobe, the captain of Hyotei said as he took a seat down, his fellow tennis members following.

"Akaya is playing so we thought we might watch," Seiichi Yukimura, captain of Rikkai Dai answered and sat down next to Atobe. "Marui was supposed to be playing, but as you can see he is late." Marui blew a bubble and shrugged his shoulders as he sat down with his team. "So who is that girl?"

"We don't know, but she knows how to serve," Tezuka replied and the three captains focused their gaze onto the court.

(Y/N) looked at Akaya. "Hey," she asked and he turned towards her. "Does the guy Tachibana have any serves that he hates or is traumatized by?"

Akaya froze for a moment before replying, "Yeah, my knuckle serves. I hurt him pretty bad with that in the past."

(Y/N) nodded and pressed the ball between her knuckles and then threw the ball up into the air, which created an unusual spin on the ball. When the ball bounced against the court, it headed straight to the older Tachibana's body with high speed and destructive power. The older Tachibana panicked when he saw the serve coming at his body, his eyes were wide and dived out of the way to avoid being hit with the serve. Everyone seemed to freeze as the ball hit against the fence and rolled on the ground.

"What the heck?!" Akaya shouted and looked at her. "You know how to do that too?!"

"Yeeeeep." (Y/N) nodded and popped the p in yep like Kagera does. "He seems pretty scared of that type of serve, like he full on dodged it." (Y/N) looked at Akaya. "How badly did you hurt him in order for him to react like that?"

He grumbled under his breath. "Anyways! You're hogging the game (Y/N)! I want to hit some tennis balls too!"

She laughed and bounced the ball against the court as she went to serve again. "Okay, I'll let you play too."

The current score was team Kirihara-Kise winning with 5 sets and team Tachibana with none. The tournament was the first to six sets. Throughout the sets (Y/N) seemed to surprise Akaya and the tennis teams each time, pulling off different attacks and moves.

"Got it!" Akaya shouted and returned the ball over the net. The younger Tachibana reached out and with her backhand was able to get the ball over the net towards the far side of the court. "(Y/N) it's all you!"

(Y/N) ran to the side and with her backhand jumped into the air. The ball flew towards the net near the rope between the net and the pole. Everything seemed to go in slow motion as the ball went over the net with tremendous speed. It hit against the court and flew past the two siblings, leaving the net shaking from the pressure and wind speed the ball brought. The whistle blew, indicating that Akaya and (Y/N) had won the set.

"Yes!" the two shouted and high fived each other.

"Samurai drive..." Ryoma muttered under his breath as he looked at the girl, shocked she pulled off such a move.

"You're amazing (Y/N)," Akaya said and ruffled her blond hair.

"You are too Akaya, I can see how you are a regular on such a distinguished team."

The two then shook hands with the Tachibana siblings before walking off the court. When they went out of the gate (Y/N) saw a lot of boys looking down at them. She looked around at the boys and noticed that some of them were pretty handsome. (A/N : COUGH CAPTAINS + FUJI COUGH WELL MOST OF EM R HANDSOME BUT COUGH COUGH)

"Yukimura-buncho!" Akaya shouted and he then smiled at his teammates. "Wait- what are the Hyotei and Seishun Gakuen regulars doing here?!"

"We came to watch," both teams said in perfect unison which kind of freaked (Y/N) out.

"How did you pull off the samurai drive?" Ryoma asked her, making everyone go silent.

She shrugged her shoulders. "I remember seeing it and I just copied it by memory." This made Ryoma frown slightly and he was going to ask another question until he was interrupted.

"Hey who are you! What's your name?" Eiji asked (Y/N), getting close to her which made her weakly laugh.

"I'm Kise (Y/N), call me (Y/N)."

"Are you a tennis player?"

"Nah," she bluntly replied which shocked all three teams.

"WHAT?!" they shouted.

"But you're so good!" Momoshiro blurted out and (Y/N) smiled at him which made him blush pink.

"Thanks, but I don't do sports anymore," (Y/N) replied. "I'm only playing until Akaya's partner comes." Yukimura and Yanagi both raised an eyebrow.

Akaya smiled and then his eyes landed on Marui to whom he frowned at. "MARUI YOU'RE LATE!" he shouted as he glared at him. The said boy gave a lazy wave. "I was lucky (Y/N) here came to help me."

First name basis? The two Rikkai Dai players thought to themselves. "You two are on a first name basis with each other?" Fuji asked bluntly, saying Yukimura and Yanagi's thoughts aloud.

"Yeah," Akaya and (Y/N) responded. "We are the same age after all," (Y/N) added, causing Akaya to pause.

"How old are you (Y/N)?" he asked, making the girl pause and look at him.

"Huh? Aren't we both first years in highschool?"

"What? I'm a second year."

The two looked at each other in silence. (Y/N) then faced the other boys once again, specifically Fuji. "Yes, Akaya-senpai and I are on a first name basis."

"SENPAI?!" some of the idotic boys shouted making her cringe from their screams.

"Anyways, can I borrow your phone to make a call?" she asked Akaya. "I need to call my brother to pick me up since I'm still technically lost, and your partner is now here."

"Oh, sure." Akaya handed her his phone and (Y/N) made a quick call to her brother who was crying out in relief that she finally called him. (Y/N) explained her situation to Ryouta and he said that he would go pick her up immediately. She handed the phone and racket she borrowed back to Akaya and slung her bag over her shoulder. "My brother will pick me up in a bit so I'll be watching the matches until then."

Suddenly, (Y/N) noticed a familiar face in the crowd that made her jaw drop. "Keigo?" she blurted out and Atobe and the other players looked at her.

"Huh? (Y/N) my darling!" Atobe shouted happily and walked down, opening his arms open for a hug. She laughed slightly and walked into his embrace. "You looked different there so ore-sama didn't recognize you!"

"I can say the same to you too," she replied and wrapped her arms around his back.

"You know the Monkey King?!" multiple players from Seishun Gakuen and Akaya shouted while pointing at him.

(Y/N) pulled away from the hug after Atobe told them not to call him that. "We met in our first year of middle school when his team came over to play a match and we've been talking with each other ever since."

"That's surprising," Yukimura mumbled and Tezuka nodded in agreement.

"Ore-sama is still shocked that you aren't playing tennis anymore," Atobe said and patted her head. "You played a lot of sports in middle school, are you playing any at all?"

(Y/N) shook her head and shrugged her shoulders. "I have people chasing me around school everyday trying to make me join a sports club, but I might be forced to join one when I get back to school on Monday." She thought back to the dean and Takeda-sensei who were looking at her with calculating and gleaming eyes, they had a plan brewing in their heads and (Y/N) did not have a good feeling about it.

"(N/NNNNNNNNN)!!!!" a boisterous voice shouted and (Y/N) looked up at the stairs to see a panting boy with blond hair wearing a Kaijo High tracksuit. (Y/N) smiled at her older twin brother.

"Ryo!" she shouted and ran up to him. The two ran at each other and Ryouta scooped her up in a hug, spinning her around.

"(N/N) I MISSED YOU!!!" he shouted and placed her down on the ground, but still hugged her. "I got so worried when you said you were lost!"

(Y/N) laughed. "Yeah I'm fine, Akaya kept me company."

Ryouta looked down at the boys and seemed to glare for a moment before smiling. "Oh? Thank you for taking care of (N/N) by keeping her company-su. Anyways let's go (N/N)! I got practice in a bit and I don't want to be too late or else my senpai will kick me!"

"Alright, alright." She laughed and handed her brother her light bag. She then turned back to Akaya and ran towards him, a pen in hand. "Akaya give me your hand!"

"Uh okay?" he blurted out and stuck out his hand to which (Y/N) grabbed. She noticed that his hand was bigger and more calloused than her own. She then started to write on his palm before letting go and running back up the stairs to Ryouta.

"Call me!" she shouted and did a phone symbol with her hand and shook it near her ear. "You can share my info with the others if you want to! Bye you tennis boys!"

The two twins then ran off leaving the three tennis teams in silence. Akaya looked flushed as he looked at his palm. (Y/N) had written her phone number and Instagram for him.

"You damn lucky bastard!" someone shouted at Akaya and the three team captains could only sigh at their teammates and their antics.
