Country of Eskon -Japanese Military Base

Hinata

"Wah...your ears pink, Senpai," I had to do everything I could to not smack the daylights out of Kazuki who was bouncing up and down on Mina's bed.

Yes I'm still pretty bothered about what Naruto said. I'm angry with myself for letting it get to me.

Grabbing Hanako-sempai's pillow on the tiny bed next to mines, I threw it dead center of his face right when he was in the air. He fell backwards with a thud. Mina just looked over her shoulder from her location in the opposite corner by her bed. She was stuffing things in the tan lockers that we're supposed to use as a closet for our stay.

I didn't expect anything fancy but seriously? A high school locker as a closet? Come on, we're women and we need more room than this!

Nonetheless, I don't need excuses to talk to the beloved captain more than I have to.

I was the first one to finish packing. Hanako-senpai got into an argument with Kazuki about something was completely irrevent and Mina was still unpacking. I needed to explore around a bit; especially since I need little hiding spots with Naruto roaming around at all times.

"Hey," I shouted back into the tent at the rest of the team. "You idiots have half an hour before we have to head to the medicure for a tour. Hurry up."

"Where you going, Hina-senpai?" Kazuki was hugging Mina's pillow in his lap sitting cross legged on her bed.

"Wandering around for a bit," I sighed. "Getting to know our new home."

Kazuki moved, "I'll come with you."

I shook my head, "Help Mina and Senpai unpack. An extra pair of hands would speed this entire process up a little more."

He opened his mouth to argue but Mina cut in, "Help me find my bras."

Almost immediately, the resident's ears turned a little pink, "Are you serious?"

"Everything I say is serious," Mina blinked, "Now move your ass."

I left the tent shortly after, not wanting to see the flustered Kazuki get anymore embarrassed with requests from the blunt Minako.

The base was pretty big. Old fashioned buildings stood tall and hugged the perimeter of the camp. A barbed wired fence surrounded the camp; on it signs of warning. There was a single giant building standing in the middle of the base and my guess came that it must be where meals are served. Jeeps and Range Rovers spreader everywhere and the guard towers stood proudly at the gate. Two soldiers on each side walking in circles with big guns in their arms. One saluted to me as I caught his eye and I bowed in greeting.

According to the map that was sent to me, the medical units are located to the right forty-four feet from the tents where my team was staying. There should also be a soldier guarding the entrance at all times.

"Are you lost?" The familiar voice made me turn around.

Hisao-senpai walked up to me. He changed into a simple gray t-shirt and some tan shorts.

"Just observing," I told him as he came up to me, a smile on his face.

He nudged me with his shoulder, "Not feeling nervous, are you? The great Hinata Hyuga is nervous?"

"Shut up," I glared at the older doctor out the corner of my eye, "I will get Hanako-senpai on your ass faster than the a gun shot."

Senpai laughed nervously, "So what now?"

"Now," a new voice cut into our conversation.

My voice caught in my throat when I saw who was making their way straight at us. I tried to remain calm but with the surprises I experienced earlier, I have yet to recover. But these familiar faces keep piling up.

"And you are...?" Hisao-senpai raised an eyebrow, eyeing the intruder with curious eyes.

"Dr. Sakura Uchiha," she held out a hand. "Head medic here at this military base."

I blinked once, twice, one more time.

"Ehhh?!!!" The surprises just keep coming and coming. "T-then tha-"

Sakura suddenly covered my mouth with her gloved hand, "I would like to borrow your leader if you don't mind."

I struggled to speak under her hand and before Hisao-senpai could respond, I was already yanked away towards a giant square metal building. It didn't take me long to realize this is the medicure aka my new workplace.

The soldiers watched us as we passed, saluting Sakura on the way. It wasn't until we were inside did she finally freed me. There were only a few soldiers laying around in beds as they were being treated, squirming in pain as they were being treated. Medics running to and fro carrying trays of medicine and tools for stitching up wounds.

I gulped. These soldiers are going to be counting on me with their lives. And knowing that their lives are literally in my hands, I'm beyond terrified that they can literally die at any moment.

"So Dr. Hinata Hyuga," Sakura suddenly appeared beside me, her emerald eyes not displaying any emotion, "Come talk to me in my office please."

I just followed her, keeping my eyes from wandering too much. As we passed some of the medics, they saluted at her. Then I felt someone suddenly fell into step behind us. I only dismissed the sudden follower as just heading in the same direction.

However when we reached the inside of Sakura's office, that person closed the door. I looked around but sudden arms enveloped themselves around me, tightening to me to in a bear hug.

I was muffled by the uniform so all I could was stand there awkwardly and be held but a person who is my height!

"We missed you so much Hina!!!" I was suddenly swaying.

But I know that voice!

"Ino-chan?!" I said but like I said, my mouth was muffled.

I was finally released. I stumbled back a few steps panting both from lack of oxygen and -

"So you're here, too," I breathed then cleared my throat.

Sakura and Ino wore similar camouflage uniforms. They both smiled warmly at me as I continued examined their outfits. Sakura was behind her desk while Ino sat at the edge of it. The only difference I noticed between them was Sakura had three stars on her collar; Ino had two.

"Is there a reason why you kidnapped me?" I started strightening my shirt which is helping me calm down a bit.

Ino looked amused, "It's been awhile so why don't we catch up a bit."

I raised an eyebrow, "Ten years worth of catching up in..." I glanced at my watch, "Fifteen minutes? And what makes you think I'm in the mood to catch up?"

The visible flinch on both medics' faces made my entire body throb with emotional pain.

I didn't mean to sound so harsh. I honestly didn't want to be a bitch with them. Sakura, Ino and the other girls told me when I got back that they knew about... Naruto's little condition. At the time and for the first few months, I was beyond angry and practically deleted them out of my lives.

But after a year came around, the anger started to dissolve. I never had the courage to contact any of the girls, no thanks to my man ego plus I've been too busy balancing my school life, internship and Kazuki's stupidity on top of my life.

The universe just really wants us to get along again, doesn't it? Just like how Spencer Hastings said in Pretty Little Liars, the universe is a bastard.

I sighed walking towards the door, "I have to get back to my team."

"Of course," Sakura said. "Sorry we bothered you, Team leader."

I stopped halfway through the door.

"Fifteen minutes," I looked at them, a small smile coming to my face. "Isn't enough time to catch up."
