Hinode General Hospital

Hinata

As much as I was happy to see Naruto and the rest of my past friends, Karin was an aspect of my past that I never wanted to have to ever counter again. When I left Konoha University, she was so damn happy it was scary.

She must've thought she won something which she probably did at the time. But the minute I got hired by Hinode, I thought that she lost and I was the one that won. I met awesome friends who didn't care about my eyes. Heck, I even got the love of my life back.

And all this time, Karin has never came to my mind.

I guess I kicked her under the rug a little too soon.

I had given my speech in such a hurry that I was out of there before Director Soga could say anything else. My team was just the confused idiots they were but they knew when to give me space.

I didn't have any scheduled surgeries for the rest of the afternoon. But I did have to do some research later with Hisao-senpai and Kazuki but like I said, not until later when I completely recovered from the shock of my worst childhood fear coming back to haunt me.

"Dr. Soga said I could find you here," and her voice is set to haunt me for the rest of my life.

I covered my eyes then stood up, eyeing the red eyes, "Why are you here, Karin?"

"To destroy your life," Karin said, rolling her eyes. "I'm joking. I honestly don't have time for that."

My eyes twitched but instead she burst out laughing, "Like I have time for that anymore. I'm actually here to work and make money, if you find that so hard to believe."

"Yeah I-I kinda do," I nearly hissed. "Considering you made it your personal mission to make me suffer."

"It was my personal mission," she sighed, her own frozen breath barely hitting me. "But I guess I grew out of it."

Why do I find that so hard to believe? "There are thousands of hospitals in the world, Karin. Why choose this one?"

"Because," the doctor stuffed her hands in her own lab coat. "I love Japan. It's home no matter how much I travel."

"That's complete bull-"

"And because I'm pregnant and my husband's job is located in Tokyo," she cut me off.

"There's still Kyoto - you're pregnant?!" My eyes immediately scanned her stomach. Sure enough, a small baby bump was visible.

My old enemy nodded, "Five months now."

"C-congratulations," wait I hate her. "Who's the victim willing to marry you?"

"You remember Suigetsu, right?"

How could I forget? "Oh you mean the guy that made Naruto-kun get drunk, past out and some girl -"

"So you do remember?" Karin laughed nervously. "Yeah. He's staying here for some of marine engineering job or whatever he does. So I'm stuck here and why not apply for the greatest hospital in all of Japan."

My pager suddenly beeped, "There's a whole bunch of other hospitals in Tokyo to apply for."

"But I like this one," she retorted.

Pager said I had a visitor waiting in the main lobby? "That's no excuse."

I started walking towards the hospital doors with Karin still beside me, "Uh yes it is. If I like something, I will make sure it's mines."

"And you said you've changed," I walked past Kazuki and Hanako-senpai who just took up our tail as we made our way to the elevator.

"I have," Karin adjusted her glasses. "I mean look at me."

Kazuki, who was standing behind the new employee, looked around, "You're pregnant?"

I glared at him but he didn't notice. Hanako-senpai ate some of her yogurt, "Boy or girl?"

"My husband and I want it to be a surprise," Karin said in her most dreaming voice.

If I hadn't seen the Satan side of her, I would've fallen for her little cute act as well just as Senpai and Kazuki have.

"Don't you two have something better to do?" the elevator dinged as we all stepped in.

Kazuki ate some of his senior's yogurt with his own spoon, "If we did, would we be here?"

"Pager said someone's looking for you," Hanako-senpai added. "So we wanted to see who it was."

"Someone looking for Hinata?" Karin suddenly scoffed, her little innocent act disappearing completely. "That's something new."

"See? I knew there was still a l-layer of bitch under your little cute act," I glared at her.

Kazuki and Hanako-senpai exchanged a look of surprise as Karin continued, "A part of me will always be out to destroy you, Hinata. Don't think I'm done with you just yet. I still think you're some alien from a different planet."

"At least I'm unique and not a classic bitch like you," the elevator door dinged our arrival.

"Well, at least I've got a man to call mines," Karin twitched a bit but she smirked when she continued. "I bet a few thousand bucks you don't have one."

Kazuki laughed nervously, "He he. You might not want to bet that much."

Karin looked at him, "Why say that, handsome?"

But he didn't say anything else just as the elevator door opened. We all looked out to see a small crowd of patients, doctors and nurses murmuring nearby, all casting looks towards the door.

"What's going on?" Hanako-senpai asked stepping out.

A nurse nearby looked at us, her eyes literally filled with little hearts.

Did a celebrity just walk in or -

"I'm looking for a Dr. Hinata Hyuga? Told she works here?"

Isn't that -

I pushed one of the nurses aside so I could get a better view of the person...or people that caused such a strange commotion.

"Sai-kun?" I looked at the soldier. It was so weird seeing the deputy in such casual clothes. A simple jacket and jeans.

Actually the  entire Special Force team was there minus their captain and deputy were present. Yes, yes all wearing them casual clothes that I was still trying to get used to seeing on their built frames.

"Oui!" Kiba was the first to spot me among the crowd of my curious co-workers. He pushed past his comrades before bringing me into a crushing bear hug.

"W-what's going on?" I asked in Kiba's hoodie while looking from Sai to Shikamaru who looked rather uncomfortable.

"Yo! Kazuki! Hana-chan!" the canine expert suddenly released me to greet the doctor. I didn't pay them any mind.

"Where's Naruto-kun and Sasuke-kun?" I asked.

A part of me was terrified about the answer. They're soldiers; literally anything can happen to them.

"That's why we're here," Shikamaru said slowly, looking around at the crowd of people still curiously watching the entire scene.

I don't like the way he said those words at all.

"We better go to someplace to talk," Sai continued. "Privately."

"W-what's going on?"

Kiba suddenly grabbed my arm, his expression solidified into something that was no longer joking, "Just don't say another word. It's better if we just kidnap you now."

Why won't anybody tell me what the hell is going on?!
