"Alrighty, I've already split us into teams so no complaining," Seokjin said as soon as everyone gathered outside. It was warm out, Taehyung noticed as he rolled up his sleeves. The tired looks on everyone's faces were kind of funny, but Taehyung knew he looked no different.

Meeting JK's eyes across the little circle they've formed, Taehyung smiles at his little pout and tuft of hair that's sticking out of place. It's odd seeing him in regular clothes, it gives him a much softer vib- nope. No. No he's hot. Taehyung immediately looked away when he started rolling his sleeves up, exposing his forearms. Now is not the time fanboy.

"-lastly JK and Tae," Jin finished, snapping Taehyung out of his thoughts. JK and Tae...JK and Tae what? Looking at Seokjin with a raised brow, silently asking him to repeat himself as he was clearly too busy staring at the idol, the older roles his eyes and pointed dramatically between the two. "You're both on a team."

Taehyung spluttered. "Me?? Him??" Jin nodded, expecting this freak out to occur. Taehyung continued, "No-Jin-Hyung-why? I don't understand?!" Glancing at JK, Tae had to do a double take. His expression had changed quickly from nonchalance to something containing awkwardness? Discomfort? Hurt? Taehyung couldn't tell because he was a little busy freaking out, but Jin came to the rescue with his warning eyes, causing Taehyung to realize how he just sounded, his own eyes becoming saucers in comparison.

He rapidly turned toward JK and started frivolously waving his hands. "No no no I promise I have nothing against you I didn't mean it that way I'm so sorry I was just caught off guard- Jin hyung a warning next time would be great," he said off to the side. "I would love to be on the same team as you and I apologize once again for my stupid mouth thank you for listening to my TedTalk." Taehyung took a deep breath in as he turned away, subtly slapping himself across the face because why can't he just act normal?!

He coughed before turning back around, putting a pleasant smile on his face. "Anyways..."Jin started. "These teams are for a scavenger hunt. I have sent you a a picture of the list, and whoever gets back first with pictures of all of their items doesn't have to do dishes tonight. Sound good? Great! Now I'll be waiting here for you all to get back, on your mark get set go!" He spoke quickly, not leaving much time for Taehyung to comprehend each word. But nonetheless, Taehyung was always up for a challenge and is determined to win.

Pulling out his phone, he read the list:

Something green
Something man made
Something edible
Something liquid
Something shiny
Something soft
Something cute
Something dangerous
A picture of you and your partner in front of a flower
Something broken

Easy, Taehyung thought. Looking up from his phone, JK was standing across from him still staring at his own. Taehyung, noticing no one else had left yet, grabbed JK's arm and started running towards the woods. "Holy sh-."

"Sorry," Taehyung apologized as they ran. "But I'm a winner, not a loser, and I hate dishes and we're going to win this. No time to waste."

As they reached the woods, Taehyung let go of his wrist and unlocked his phone.

Something green

Easy. Taehyung picked up a leaf and snapped a picture. " One down."

"Something man made..." JK muttered, looking around as they walked at a slower, more reasonable pace. "How are we supposed to find something man made?"

"We don't find it," Taehyung answered, "We make it."

"Ah." JK walked ahead and bent down to grab something, and then another thing a little further down.

Jogging to catch up, Tae came to his side to see what he was doing. "It's a daisy chain," he said, holding up two flowers tied together. "Well...it could be. Two daisies make a chain, right? Sure. Do you want to take the picture?" JK was looking at him. Shit. He's supposed to do something.

"Yeah." He fumbled around for his camera app and took a picture, purposely getting JK in the frame. He's shameless, he knows, but he just couldn't help the temptation.

"Uhh something edible," Tae read off the list.

"How do we know if it's edible?"

How do we know if it's edible? "We eat it...Well, I eat it. You're too important to die. I'll sacrifice myself-."

"Tae, you're not dying because of a game."

"...Are we doing this Romeo and Juliet style?"

"No," he laughed, his eyes forming small crescents. "We can just Google it."

"Oh." Why hadn't he thought of that?

"Google says grass is edible," he said, putting away his phone and looking at Taehyung expectantly.

"...do you want me to eat it?" Taehyung was confused. What did this beautiful man with the beautiful forearms and the luscious black hair parted on his forehead want from him?

"I actually thought you could just take a picture with it but...you know..."

Taehyung has had his dose of clown vitamins for the day.

"Alright," Taehyung immediately leaned down, plucked a piece of grass, whispered "I'm sorry" to it, as he just murdered it, and took a selfie with it.

As he stood up, he noticed JK's lingering gaze on him. "Is there something on my face?" Taehyung asked, wiping at his cheek.

JK just laughed and shook his head. "There wasn't," he said, "But now you do." He stepped closer and brushed his own hand across Taehyung cheek, brushing a particular spot a couple times before bringing his hand back. Taehyung was stunned. He was so close and his idol just touched his face. But he will not freak out, he will be 'normal' as the cool kids call it.

"Got it," he whispered.

"Thank you..." After a couple more seconds of staring, Taehyung looked down at the list, trying to get back on track.

He cannot start fantasizing now. Nope. Not gonna happen.

...But isn't this whole entire trip about making friends with each other? Forming a big group? This isn't a one time thing, Taehyung remembered, they're supposed to leave this weekend being friends. Maybe it's time Taehyung starts acting like it.

"Something liquid," he read, forcing his feet to move forward, JK keeping up beside him, hands in his pockets.

"We don't have to go in order, right?" the younger questioned. "We could go to the pond on our way back, it's literally right outside the house."

"Good idea," Taehyung said. "We need to speed up though, I can't lose to Jimin."

"I can't lose to Joon."

"Then let's run."

With a nod of their heads, they were off.

"What's next?" JK huffed.

"Something cute, shiny, and soft." They slowed down once they came to a clearing. A large bed of flowers behind a couple of trees.

"Something shiny?" JK turned around in circles, searching before coming to a stop. "The sun!" he exclaimed, pointing upwards. "The sun shines. That counts! Take a picture of the sun!"

He's smart...

"Alright cute and soft," Taehyung said as he put his phone down.

"Here, give me your phone." Taehyung's phone? Why? Handing it over, he remained confused as JK held up the camera and stepped back, aiming it towards Taehyung. Thinking there was something behind him he was missing, Taehyung stepped aside, but JK just followed his aim. "Stand still," he said softly.

"Why?" he finally asked. Why was he taking a picture of him? He doesn't get it...

"You're cute and you have soft cheeks. Two in one," he smiled from behind the phone.

Taehyung's mouth fell open as he blushed. He heard that wrong, right? Or he's just being nice.

"Here you go," he handed the phone back.

"Thanks..."

"So what's next?" How is this man so chill??

"Dangerous...You can't do anything dangerous or be by anything dangerous so I'll do it. God, I'm so clumsy I'm gonna break something..."

"Don't say that, you don't want to jinx it and actually break something...And I can do dangerous things!" He pointed to himself. "I'm off tour. I have a good couple weeks to rest, I can afford a small injury."

Taehyung tsked and shook his head. "No. You can't get hurt. I won't let you."

"Well I won't let you!"

Taehyung mulled it over before turning towards him. "Im gonna hang upside down from this tree. Take a picture." He shoved the phone into his hands and started climbing.

"Fucking hell," he muttered, the bark digging unpleasantly into his palms. After he climbed on a low, thick branch,  he took a deep breath before flipping himself upside down and hanging on with all four limbs before removing his arms. "GO BEFORE I DIE!!" He yelled.

"GOT IT!"

...

"HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO GET DOWN?!"

"Uhhhh bring your legs down!"

"Holy shit this is where I die, this is actually where I die I didn't think I'd be going this soon-." Taehyung stopped worrying as supportive hands were place on his shoulders.

"Relax," he said. "Keep holding on up here," he squeezed his shoulders, "And start bringing your legs down here," he removed a hand and placed it on his thigh.

Slowly, Taehyung got himself down safely. "I didn't die."

"You didn't die." Not like he would've, he was only six feet up.

Taehyung stared at him in silence. "You know that was kind of fun. I should do that again someti-."

"You are never doing that again," JK interrupted. "You could've broken something."

"But I didn't!" He smiled.

JK shook his head, but Taehyung saw the smile that was graced on his lips, albeit tiny. "Anyways, what's next?"

"The last three are the flower selfie, something broken, and we still need the something wet."

"Okay, there are plenty of flowers around us so let's just, take a picture of us."

Taehyung nodded. He was about to take a picture with his idol oh my gooooooo- no. Friend. They are supposed to become friends. No more of this idol business. Taehyung is a professional man.

"Alright," he put the camera up at a high enough angle that the flowers were in the background. JK put his hand on Tae's shoulder and smiled. Taehyung...well, he tried his best to smile like a normal, not nervous person.

"Awesome," he said, putting his phone down, missing JK's touch as soon as it was taken away. "We might as well make our way back and find something broken along the way since we still need the water up at camp..."

JK looked at his phone before landing his eyes on Tae. "It's already been fifteen minutes...I'll race you?"

Taehyung didn't have time to answer before the idol took off sprinting.

Fvck it, Taehyung thought, and took off after him.

Taehyung kept a steady pace and wasn't faster than JK, but probably about the same speed as he maintained the same distance throughout.

Taehyung absolutely loved to run, he loved the exhilaration he felt and the burning in his lungs that only grew. When he ran, he tended to get lost, not registering what's around him and not quite paying attention when his feet touched the ground. Perhaps that's why he didn't see the large trunk of a fallen tree right in front of him.

Falling straight onto his face, Taehyung first recognized the shoot pain in his ankle. "Holy shit!" He yelled. "Come back!" As he pulled himself into a sitting position, JK ran his way back with wide eyes, immediately crouching down and looking at his swollen ankle.

"Shit," he whispered, his windswept hair falling into his eyes. "Shit!" "Can you walk?" he asked incredulously.

"Does it look like I can walk?!" Taehyung exclaimed.

"Shit, sorry. Uhhh okay, get on my back." He turned around in his crouched position and motioned towards his back.

Oh hell no. "Take my phone," Taehyung winced and sucked in a breath as the pain continued to grow, and throb throughout his whole foot.

"Alright, now get on."

"JK, I know you're smarter than this," he hissed, holding on to himself right above his ankle. "Take the fucking picture."

"Why would you want me to take a picture of you you're in pain we should be getting you back to camp!"

"We need a picture of something broken so take my fucking picture! We're not losing this!"

The boy's eyes widened as he stood up and took the picture. The look of disbelief on his face only pushed Taehyung further. "Thank you. Now help me up."

JK helped Tae onto his back, wrapping his arms around his neck before grabbing onto the undersides of his thighs and standing up. Walking carefully, JK took his time so no one else could get hurt.

"JK, I love you dearly, but fucking run," he seethed.

And run he did. Not a minute later were they outside of the clearing and nearing the water.

"Okay put me down," Taehyung demanded, much to the other's confusion.

Hopping onto one leg, Taehyung held his hand out for his phone, and once he had it again, made his second demand. "Take off your shirt."

"What?" JK's eyes widened in shock.

Taehyung rolled his eyes, they didn't have time for this. "Take off your shirt and soak it in the water. We need a picture of something wet!"

"Can't we just take a picture of the water?"

"No because Jin Hyung thinks water isn't wet so we have to get something wet, now go!"

"Fine...okay." Hesitantly, he reached for the bottom of his shirt and pulled it over his head. Had Taehyung's mind not been clouded with pain and the competitive desire to win, he would've marveled at just how chiseled this man is in real life.

Soaking his shirt, JK took it back out of the water and held it up for Taehyung to take a quick picture.

"Awesome, now let me get back on your back."

"But my shirt-."

"There's no time for that you're going shirtless, let's go!"

"You're very demanding," he said, but complied nonetheless, turning around and catching Taehyung's weight as he climbed back on.

"Giddy up!" Taehyung said, slapping his shoulder.

"I'm not a horse," JK huffed, but started running towards Jin's tiny figure in the distance.

The jostling from the running definitely wasn't helping out Taehyung's ankle situation, but he could forget about the pain for another thirty seconds in order to win. As soon as they were twenty feet away, JK started slowing his pace, stopping in front of Seokjin after a light jog.

"Well, isn't this a sight?" He smirked. Looking at the shirtless JK and Taehyung draped around him.

"We're first? Right?" Taehyung asked, ignoring the older's smug look.

"Yes, you're first. Show me the pictures."

Taehyung reached across JK's shoulders and handed him his phone to swipe through.

Jin chuckled at a couple of them, and rolled his eyes at one, muttering a small "whipped". "Alright...so far so good...I don't get it..." he paused. "What's this one?"

He turned the phone around and Taehyung could see himself with his leg pulled up to his chest in front of the damn tree stump. "That's something broken," he stated before gesturing to his ankle. "I'm not getting carried around here for fun."

"Really? Cause you seem to be having a blast-oh what the hell?!" He shouted after taking a look at his ankle. "We need to get you to the hospital!! Holy crap oh shit what do we tell the others?? I can't just leave-." Jin had an idea, Taehyung could tell. "You're his partner!" He pointed to JK, "You take him. Please?! There's one about ten miles away. Just plug it into your GPS oh god just take Namjoon's car and for everyone's sake please put a shirt on!"

JK nodded and set Taehyung down gently before sprinting inside. Taehyung hopped over to sit on Jin's lap, the older's arms wrapping around him. "I'm so sorry Tae, I didn't think my game would be so destructive...and we're only on the first day!"

"It's alright, Hyung, don't worry about it. But I am mad at you."

"For what?"

"For pairing me up with JK. Do you know how embarrassing I am?"

Jin chuckled. "You need to see him as a real person, Tae. Get over this idol-fan relationship so we can all be friends. I just wanted you guys to have some time together to get to know each other."

Taehyung huffed. "You're right...but a warning would have been great."

"Okay I'm back." Running towards them with a fresh black T-shirt and keys in his hands, he turned around as soon as he reached them.

"That's my ride," he told Jin, pushing himself up and not so gracefully hopping onto JK's back. He liked it better when he was shirtless, he thought.

And off to the car they went.

How the heck did this happen?
How is Jeongguk so stupid?
He's the one who suggested they run, why couldn't he have thought that through?
I just broke the loml's ankle.
I'm going to hell.
Yep.
All the way down
Down down down into the pits of-

"You need to stop worrying." The calm voice of Taehyung spoke.

"I'm not worrying." His voice was strained and his hands were gripping the steering wheel
