Emilia

It was around 4:00 pm when the guests began rounding in one by one each greeting Xavier, his wife Juliane, and Camila his sister at the entrance of the backyard.

Emilia was just casually standing with Noah at one of the tables observing the three brothers.

She couldn't believe she didn't catch it before.

How was this possible?

It was as obvious as day yet no one, not one soul saw it.

They all looked really similar.

The tall muscular structure.

The jet black hair, with a jawline that could cut.

They had the same skin tone.

The only obvious difference was their eye colors.

Noah had hazel eyes.

Gabe had green eyes like his Dad.

Marcello had gorgeous ocean blue eyes and a more prominent nose than the other two. He also liked to grow his beard out vs his brothers who never grew their beards out.

Marcello had a very stern exterior.

Gabe was very playful.

Noah was not stern but then again not playful he was a good mix.

All three ranked pretty high in all departments.

How did a man like Xavier get so lucky?

He has three very smart, very good looking and well-rounded sons while he.....he was awful in every way possible.

"What's wrong?"Noah asked while narrowing his eyes at his sister."Why do you keep doing that?"

Emilia shifted her gaze to her brother."What do you mean?"

Noah rolled his eyes."You know exactly what I mean,"He hissed.

Emilia blushed."Was I that noticeable?"

"Yes," He answered flatly without beating around the bush.

Emilia tried to suppress a laugh."Sorry, it's just that-"

She quickly cut herself off when she saw Marcello walking towards them.

He looked upset about something.

Marcello looked between Noah and Emilia a couple of times before settling his eyes settled on Emilia.
"Can I speak to you Emilia umm...in private?"He looked at Noah.

Emilia nodded and Noah walked away but not before shooting his signature smirk at Emilia.

Emilia narrowed her eyes at him as if silently telling him to stop acting childish.

Marcello waited until Noah was a few feet from them before he spoke,"Do you uh.....um have feelings for Gabriel?"

Emilia placed her head in her hands to take a breather.

She couldn't believe he was asking her a question like this.

She placed her hands on her hips and began tapping her foot continuously."Of course not you, idiot."She rolled her eyes.

He gazed at her, his ocean blue eyes clearly showing how relieved he was.

"I'm sorry....uh it's just I didn't-"He immediately stopped talking when she took his hands in hers.

Emilia felt her heart quicken suddenly and sparks run up and down her body at the contact but she forced herself to focus on the matter at hand, no matter how hard it was.

Gosh, this idiot didn't he know that his presence alone makes her speechless.

Didn't he know that when his ocean blue eyes met hers she wants to melt?

Didn't he know that she craved for his touch, his attention, his everything?

Was it not obvious to him that she wanted him and only him, that to her no man on this earth can compare to him.

"Emilia,"He called her in an all but soft tone and snapped her out of her trance.

Gosh, even how he said her name made her lose it.

"Marcello I-"

She couldn't complete her statement because everyone around them suddenly became quiet.

She started looking around frantically to find every single person was looking at the main entrance.

When her eyes finally landed there what she saw made her heart drop.

"Dad," she murmured at the exact same time Marcello did."Maria."
