She's a Goddess of Good Cheer, Joy and Mirth.

Her name is the female version of a Greek word;

Euphrosynos,

Which means "merriment".

She's Euphrosyne.

"Get your hands off me!" I screamed and kicked.

My arms were locked at my sides as I struggled in a tight embrace. One bouncer kept me fixated to his chest with three arms. We had stepped out of the club and into the cold night. The second bouncer followed close behind us.

How did I even get into this mess?

I didn't say much. I only told them to 'Buzz off' when they asked me to come with them.

It wasn't actually an insult!

No one bothered to confront us. They probably thought I was a trouble maker breaking club rules. I never gave up though. I still fought and managed to free one arm before scratching the captor behind me on the face. He cursed and I instantly kicked his shin with my heels.

"Damn it!" His arms loosened but re-tightened around my waist. At least my arms were free.

The second bouncer chuckled. "She's feisty."

"Shut up and help me, punk!"

I stilled when the second bouncer obeyed and walked to me. We were now at the side of the building, heading towards a set of fire-escape stairs. I slapped him, which was supposed to sting but he grabbed both my wrists in one hand and leaned close.

He smiled. "Aaron won't be happy if you hurt one of his employees."

I stared at him. Who's Aaron?

The bouncer behind me scoffed. "You mean the other way around--"

"Shut it!" The second guy chided but I already had the information I need.

They can't hurt me.

Whoever this Aaron is, if he wants to see me, then so be it. The sooner I meet him the earlier I'll get this over with. I still needed to find Zion and warn Pedro. "Okay guys, I'll go willingly. Happy?"

The two looked at me with shocked faces. I guess they never expected me to change my mind so suddenly. The arm around my waist hesitated before suddenly disappearing.

Wow. They actually believed me? I smirked. Well too bad.

I kneed the second bouncer between the legs. He squealed and released my wrist, falling to his knees with his hands over his crotch. I took a run for it.

"Hey stop!" The first bouncer called after me. My heels pounded against the pavement, heading for the boutique.

I could make it.

I was only ten feet away when something snapped beneath me. I cried out when my ankle twisted painfully before stumbling to the ground. My heel had broken off. Seriously!?

I tried sitting up and winced from my grazed elbows and knees. This is embarrassing. Someone snickered to my left and I glared. He instantly shut up and speed-walked to his destination. I groaned when two footsteps approached me.

"Shit! Master is going to kill us." I heard the first bouncer.

"Shut up." The second bouncer silenced his friend. "Just grab her and let's go!"

"Enough!"

They both tensed at the third voice. I looked around them, searching for the owner. It was the guy in the red hoodie. His hands were placed leisurely in his red sweat pants as he walked with matching bunny flip-flops.

Bunny flip-flops!?

"Sir!" The first bouncer saluted his approaching master. "We were about to deliver her, but there were some complications. She can't be controlled."

I rolled my eyes. "I can't be controlled because I don't have a remote, dweeb. Try saying 'please'. It'll help better."

The bouncer ignored me. "But we did a good job, right?"

"Sure." Their boss reached my side and smiled down at me. "You're fired."

"What!?" The second bouncer blurted, his eyes turning glassy. For a bouncer who just snaps at his friend, he's a real softy.

"But Sir. I always dreamed of buying a Lamborghini..." the first bouncer complained.

"...and beating people for the fun of it." The second bouncer mumbled.

Their boss palmed his face and sighed. "Just get out of my sight. You're embarrassing me."

At that statement, they both dragged their feet away from us and towards the club. I looked up at their boss and my heart stuttered. Even though he wore sunglasses, I could still feel his eyes on me.

He gave an easy smile, emphasizing a scar on his cheek. "You're a friend of Liam's?"

I couldn't nod. "And you must be Aaron."

"Yes, I am." He sat on his heel with a smile still plastered on his face.

I frowned. "Why do you want to speak to me?"

Aaron tilted his head and only smiled some more. I suddenly felt aware of my cocktail dress. Was he watching my chest or my legs? Or is he just focusing on my face?

I highly doubt the last one.

I tugged the edge of my skirt. Hoping to cover me as much as possible.

"I just want to talk." He drawled. "I could tell you were lost earlier. You were looking for Liam, but I can help you find him. Not to mention you're also hurt."

He stretched a hand towards me. Oddly it was covered in white gloves. "I can help you. But not here."

His voice was smooth and poised like an elegant singer. It only raised more suspicions in my head.

What if he's another monster Like Blaze?

"No." I couldn't just agree to come with him. On the other hand, I need to contact Pedro. "Do you have a phone?"

"Yes."

"I need it."

He pulled back his hand. "No."

My eyes widened when I realized what he was trying to imply. He was making a bargain.

He smiled at his witty game. It made me remember Liam's words; He's a bit tricky and can easily pull answers from you without a sweat.

It's him, isn't it? Liam's friend. It explains how he knows Liam without even guessing. He was also on a balcony. And to get there, we had to climb the stairs Liam indicated. It only forced me to be more careful.

If he finds out who you guys really are...all hell will break loose.

"You're not going to leave me here." I countered and he gave a low chuckle.

"Try me."

Even if I asked someone for help, it wouldn't really be wise since most of the people here were monsters. I've experienced enough of them already. The closest workable person will have to be Aaron.

I took a deep breath. "If I come with you, promise me you'll call Liam and give me a workable android phone."

Liam had mentioned something about keeping a promise. Like how they're bound by eternity to fulfill it at all costs. He had followed his promise by helping us save Gwen's dad. I just hope it applies to the rest of his kind.

Aaron's face lit up. "You're binding me to my oath. Very smart, even though it's expected of you. No one will trust a complete stranger."

Exactly.

Aaron puffed his cheeks and blew a shaky breath. "Deal. I promise to do as you asked."

He straightened up on his feet and flexed his fingers at the bouncers that guarded the entrance of the club. It made my current location more awkward. I was sitting in the middle of the street, between the boutique and the club.

One of the bouncers we met earlier at the entrance walked to us. "Anything wrong Sir?"

Aaron looked at him. "Be a dear and find my old friend Liam. Tell him to meet me at my office. I have one of his..." he looked down at me. "...friends. what's your name again?"

I struggled to my feet, trying to lean most of my weight on my good leg. "Penny."

My injured ankle was screaming with pain.

"Sure thing Sir." The bouncer nodded and walked off.

Aaron smiled and reached for his glasses. "Let's treat that ankle of yours now. Shall we?"

He hooked his glasses to the 'V' dip of his hoodie and looked at me. I sucked in a breath when I caught his eyes. They were heterochromatic. One eye had a coffee brown color. And the other...

The other one was green...

like Liam's.

Hello everybody.
