And made Pandora his wife.

Hades?

I don't think I'll be comfortable walking with someone possessing the god of the underworld. When I asked Pedro why he thinks he has Hades, he gave a straight answer.

I want to be rich.

Makes sense. Since Hades controls the wealth of the earth. How do I know that? Courtesy of Mr. Metallicbutt.

After I wished him goodnight and went to bed. I had some strange feeling he was standing behind the door till I fell asleep. The rest of the night had been weird. Especially when I had an unusual dream about being trapped and suffocating in a box.

I woke up to a burning sensation on my right wrist. Being half-conscious, I wasn't completely aware of my surroundings -- but I was certain about a snoring Zion sleeping on a chair beside my bed.

My alarm rang and it felt like I hadn't slept in days; I was groggy. An hour later, Zion, Pedro, Gwen and I sat in Zion's Camaro. News flash, Helena practically stayed with us at the Peterson's home since she 'claims' Aunt Callida gave her the 'permission.' She left early for school in Hunter's car.

Liam disappeared the moment Zion dismissed us and to tell you the truth, I had no idea where he went. But we still had unfinished business; questions he needs to answer.

Pedro and Zion were engrossed in a conversation at the front seat, while Gwen and I sat at the back. She was perfectly fine apparently and as of now, she was busy tapping at her phone. Once in a while, she will pull one loose strand of her short hair behind the ear and push up her glasses.

I shifted in my seat and pulled one sleeve over my wrist, trying to conceal a mark. For now, I didn't want Zion and Pedro to notice anything. They'll be pissed if they find out what happened last night. I just wanted to have a word with Liam. He might have an explanation for it.

"Um...Gwen?"

"Yeah?" She turned sharply towards me.

"Remember the library? You promised to give us some info you already knew."

"Yeah." She pushed her glasses up. "Pedro, Zion, and I spoke about it this morning. But Zion promised to update you on it."

I nodded absently. I guess they talked about it while I was fast asleep. I turned to the brothers at the front seat.

Zion sat behind the steering wheel, his muscles shifting as he maneuvered the vehicle. From the driver's mirror, he had a wide smile as Pedro kept narrating something interesting. It emphasized his sharp jaw.

Pedro wore a dark blue turtle neck shirt that complimented his dark hair and eyebrows.

He looked badass.

I wouldn't be surprised if a swarm of girls surround him today. Unlike him, Zion was pretty hard to approach. They prefer to stare from afar.

"I can see you love black." Gwen pulled me from my reverie.

I stared at her.

"Your dress," she continued after noticing my puzzlement. "I can tell ninety percent of them are black."

I stared at my dark simple long-sleeved shirt,  jeans, and boots. "Thanks, I guess."

"It's nice."

I gave an awkward nod and we went right back to stage one.

"You're lucky you know, " she continued after a short awkward moment. "You get the Peterson's to drive you to school and back every day. This is my first and I'm kinda freaking out. Especially when  they don't do this to just anyone."

"It's nothing really." I mean, it's not like you're traveling in a private jet but hey, who am I to judge?

She nodded to herself then took a glance at the brothers before returning to her phone. I remembered on two occasions how she shifted away from Zion like he was about to hurt her.

I couldn't help asking, "Why are you so afraid of Zion?"

Her eyes went wide behind her glasses. She turned to me. "Well...I--"

"We're here, people!" Pedro faced us in his seat, his smile challenging.

He didn't seem to notice the conversation we had. If I can even call it a conversation.

"Time for school, girls. Sugar..." his brown eyes met mine "...you stay here. Zion needs to fill you in on something. I'll walk Gwen to the entrance. Come on Princess."

A blush crept along Gwen's cheek as Pedro stepped out of the Camaro. He opened her door and grabbed her hand, dragging her towards the school building before she could protest. Students stared after them -- some whispering at each other.

I was startled by a tap on my window. Zion leaned against his Camaro, his hands in his pockets. He jerked his head, gesturing me to step out. I did, slowly shutting the door. I don't know what Pedro did but Zion had a small smile displayed.

"How was your sleep?"

Horrible.

"Good." I gave a cute smile and hoped it sells it. Zion narrowed his eyes and I instantly went for plan B. "What did Helena want?"

He shifted on his feet. Somehow it flexed a hint of muscles at his chest. Why does he need to wear a pure white button-down shirt with sleeves folded to the elbows?

A female student stumbled after catching a glance at his movement. I had to suppress an eye roll.

"She's been restless the past few days. Something about having weird dreams at night."

I rose an eyebrow. "What kind of dreams?"

"The latest one was wearing a royal blue gown and being held to the wall by golden chains."

Well, it doesn't sound bad. At least there are no physical afflictions in the real world. "Why did she have to come to you?"

Zion pursed his lips. "Because every time, she sees me helping her out of every predicament."

Oh. That's...astonishing.

"Do you think she might have a god?"

Zion shrugged nonchalantly. "Maybe. But we have important things to discuss right now."

Here comes his protective side.

"I want you thirty feet away from Liam. He's bad news. And stay within view at all times. Either for me, Gwen, Pedro, or Dimitri--"

"Dimitri?"

Zion shrugged. "Somehow I trust him. Never go anywhere by yourself. And if you see any weird person looking at you, call me imme--"

"Okay, I get it. Stay safe from Liam and Henry if I want to live."

"And one more thing." He lightly pushed a loose strand of my hair behind an ear.

Does he even realize?

"What?" I breathed.

"Remember Gwen mentioned something at the library."

"Yeah?"

"It was a vision. Clearly about a group of people looking for you." He withdrew his hand, slightly grazing my cheek.

I could guess the group of people. "Yeah. Henry and the crocottas."

Zion shook his head. "Not the crocottas."

"Then who?"

A dark shadow fell across his face as he spoke. "She had some vision about seven people. And the odd thing is..."

Zion looked uncomfortable as he went further. "...they turn into demons."

Any guesses for these beings?
