Evan's POV

Currently, all four of us were in the living room with two boxes of pizza between us. We were all sitting on the carpet floor with tv playing in front of us. After the incident with Alex, I wouldn't come out of the room. Dave literally had to drag me out so I wouldn't die of starvation. I was feeling awkward as hell right now, and I just wanted to go home.

Alex went about his routine like normal, as if nothing happened at all. I don't know how I feel about that. I was scared shitless that something very bad could have happened to me, and here he was, going about without so much as a care in the world.

"You gonna eat something?" Dave asked beside me on the carpet floor.

"I'm not feeling very hungry right now," I mumbled.

"Just leave him. He'll eat when he's ready," Alex said nonchalantly. I kept my head down so as to avoid any possible eye contact. Clearing my throat, I got up.

"I'm gonna use the restroom." I hurried out of the room and rushed into the bathroom, locking the door as fast as I could. I don't know why, but I have the sudden urge to break down and cry. I didn't want to be here anymore. Maybe I could cancel my plans for tomorrow's party? I really don't feel like being in the same room with Alex anymore.

I wonder if I'm exaggerating. It's not like he did anything bad. He probably did it to teach me a lesson or something. It's true that I need to toughen up, but I'm afraid of him right now, so therefore, I will avoid him as best as I possibly can.

I spent a few more minutes in the bathroom before coming back to the living room. I cleared my throat awkwardly. "I'm not feeling too well, so I think I'll go to bed early today," I muttered.

"Do you want me to come with you?" Dave asked in concern. Alex rolled his eyes at that.

"No thanks. All I need is a little rest, and I'll be fine," I reassured him, before making my way up the stairs. I felt eyes burning holes into the back of my head with every move I took. I tried to ignore it as best as I could. I needed to get out of the room. Something felt really wrong, but it may all be in my head. I can get really paranoid sometimes.

I breathed a sigh of relief when I reached the guest room. I turned the lights off and made my way to bed. I mentally prepared myself for my speech with Dave. When he comes into the room, I'll let him know that I don't want to go to the party anymore, and hopefully he understands.

I lay in bed listening to the clock tick for about an hour or so, before I heard the doorknob turn. It's now or never. I heard the door lock, and a weight settled itself beside me. My back was turned to him, and he probably thought I was asleep. I took a deep breath before speaking, but before I could, I felt a hand touch my neck.

Shivers ran up my spine at this foreign sensation, and I didn't know whether to pretend I was asleep, or make my presence known. The hand traveled down my neck, to my arm. He traced his finger up and down my arm, while laying beside me. I should probably stop this, but the feeling was really comfortable. I didn't want to do anything, so I closed my eyes and let myself get lulled to sleep by the gentle sensation.

I woke up the next morning to an empty bed, questioning whether the event from last night occurred or not. Had it been a dream?
