Chapter Seventeen

Michael’ Point of View

I was literally all out of lucky charms, and all I have to give Mikey was some of my aunts nasty ass Raisin Bran, but even I wouldn’t eat that.

“Dada, hungry.” He said pocking his lip out. Goddamn, maybe I should cook something. There is flour and eggs you can make pancakes with just those right. As I was arguing with myself, I heard pots and pans, and there was Jenny making breakfast. Again I had no idea what she was about to make but I was going to eat it anyway.

“Good Morning” she said while focusing on the food.  Leo started crying, and like wonder woman she put him on her hip and kept cooking. I watched her in amazement, as she sat my plate of food in front of me and started feeding Leo.

“How are you this morning Jenny?”

“I’m fine, Michael. How are y-. Michael it’s ten o’clock shouldn’t you be at work. I mean I already ironed your clothes, and everything, won’t you be late?”

“I thought you might want me at home to help you out.”

“Michael you were about to feed the babies raisin bran, you don’t need to be in the kitchen, go to work. I’m much better. I have a baby to think about, I can’t just sit around all day.” She kissed me on the cheek and pushed me out of the kitchen.

Jennifer’s Point of View

Honestly I thought I had lost the baby but when I heard it’s heartbeat, I knew I had to get better, and back to my old self. And if that meant picking out Michael’s clothes and making all of my boy’s breakfast, then that was what I was going to do. I walked downstairs and watched Michael try and give the babies Raisin Bran, nobody even eats that. He then went to the fridge and held some eggs and stared at the flour on top of the fridge, what in the hell was he trying to make. “Good morning” I said focusing on the eggs. I went to grab a crying Leo and kept cooking. Michael kept staring at me like I was going to break which if it had been a week ago, would’ve been true.

“How are you this morning Jenny?”

““I’m fine, Michael.

I have a baby to think about, I can’t just sit around all day.” It was true I needed to do better and I couldn’t do it lying in bed and sulking. I kissed his cheek and pushed him out of my kitchen. I started cleaning the dishes when Michael grabbed me from behind, it took all of my being not to run in a corner. He started kissing my neck and holding me. Please don’t fight him I kept yelling to my subconscious. “Relax Bella just let me in.” I took a deep breath and turned around.

“Ok. I’ll try."

“Why don’t we do dinner tonight? Swing by my office at seven, we’ll go to that new fancy place that just opened.” I smiled, he wanted to go on a date with me.

“Sure ok. I’ll be ready.” He kissed my cheek and waved to the boys and was on his way.

Later that night

I got Maria to come over and watch the kids while I went out with Michael. I hated straightening my hair but it got pretty unruly the last few days. Maria did my makeup and did my hair.

“I don’t know if I can do this.” I could feel a panic attack coming on. I felt more nervous than the first time Michael and I went on a date.

“You’ll do fine and you look amazing. Now go put on the dress.” She said while handing me my black pumps. I literally hated the dress on the hanger, it was black with this reddish fabric on the side, but Maria said it would look “better on.” I put it on and she was right, it hugged me in all the right places and I felt like I could barely recognize myself. “She what do you think?”

“You look sexy as hell. I know he’ll love it.” She said kissing my cheek. I walked out to the car, and hoped tonight would be ok.

Michael’s Point of View

My head was going to explode I had to work even harder to make up for my employee's incompetence. If I see one more mistake, I might kill someone, literally. My office phone was ringing, “What!”

“Sir, your wife is out here.”

“Send her in.” I quickly put on my jacket and closed my computer. Did I wear too much cologne, why am I so damn nervous. There was a knock on my door. “Come in.” She looked stunning, I wanted to rip that dress off her. Please don’t get hard, why did she pick out the tighter pants, I could feel my mouth drying.

“Close your mouth before a fly goes in. Do I look ok? Is it too much?”

“No you look amazing. Let’s go.” I could see her growing uncomfortable with the amount of men staring at her. “Get back to work!” I shouted.

“Thanks babe.” We got in the car and started talking about our days when my phone rang. “Mancini.”

“Hello Mr. Mancini, it’s Dr. Williams. I have some news for you.”

“Who is it?” Jenny asked.

“The doctor.”

“Well put it on speaker you big dummy” If she were anyone else.

Jenny’s Point of View

“Well I noticed something today. The machine accidently recorded the baby’s heartbeat. There we two beats at different times.” Oh no please don’t let her finish that.

“You all are having twins.” My jaw dropped. Twins. I could barely pay attention to the rest of the conversation.

“Alright Dr. Williams you have a great night” Michael said. He smiled at me deviously. “You’re giving me two more boys.”

Bastard.
