(What do you guys want for a Halloween special? And what should I do for 700? Any ideas?)

The orange, red and yellow leaves crunched under your feet as you walked through the forest.

It was quite chilly today so you threw on your trusty red hood, it covering your body with warmth, it blew slightly in the breeze.

A wooden basket was in your arms, it held all of the medicine for your grandmother, who lived only a few miles away from you. It was an easy walking distance though.

Although, it didn't feel like you were alone. The moment you entered the woods, it fell as if there were eyes constantly on you.

You quickened up the pace into a slight jog, keeping the basket as close to you as possible, trying not to drop it.

But, you've been jogging for almost an hour, deciding to take a short break, you sat down by the stream. The basket in you lap as you sat with your legs curled up under you.

You took your hood down, it resting on your shoulders while you tucked your hair behind your ear to get it out of your face.

You leaned over and put your hands into the water, feeling how cold it was. You took a little bit of water into your cupped hands and cleaned your face.

A wolf's ears perked as he tilted his head as he watched you. He found you strange, as if he needed to keep an eye on you as you waltz through the brush.

He slowly approached you, his paws pattering against the twigs and leaves, them cracking under his weight.

You turn to him, seeing a grey wolf standing in front of you, he studied your movements. He didn't show any stance of threat.

He sat next to you, eyes on you until they looked down at the stream.

This was strange, didn't wolves usually attack humans? Why didn't this one? Who knows maybe you just had this aura that made animals trust you. Even wild ones.

You gently rested your hands behind his ears, stretching the soft fur.

He tensed from the touch, but relaxed into your hand, his tail wagging a little bit.

Now that he was much closer to you, you got a better look at him.

He was a little larger than the casual wolf, his fur a deep gray, an electric blue tripe went down his back, a scar over his right eye, his eyes not matching, one orange the other blue, lacking a pupil. His ear had a chip out of it. And... Ear ring scars?

His underbelly was a light grey, his chest having a skeleton rib cage like marking.

"Wow. You're a pretty one, just like the ashes in my fireplace. Do you have a name?" You ask him, feeling a bit silly for talking to an animal.

He nods in response as he stands up and nuzzles your face with his muzzle.

"Well, we should be going. I really need to take this medicine to my grandma, she's hasn't been feeling the best lately." You pat his head and stand up, the basket back in your hands.

As you walked along the dirt path, he followed being you, in a protective way.

The birds sang proudly, making his ears perk as his eyes looked up at the Bluejay's and Robin's with curiosity.

You sent a smile to him, he was pretty cute when he did that.

"C'mon Ash, let's pick up the pace. It'll be dark soon." You smiled as you started to jog again.

He seemed to nod as he ran after you, trying not to outrun you.

Asher waited out on the front porch of your grandmothers house, laying in front of the front door protectively as you and her chatted about small things.

His ears perked as he sat up, looking to the side, seeing a few bunnies and chipmunks following a figure wearing green.

Asher smiled to himself, the forest man sure knew how to make everyone feel safe. Even him.

Asher laid back down on the porch, his eyes straight ahead of him. It was night now, and he knew he had to walk you home. Maybe his other form should do? After all he was much faster and agile that way.

Would you approve? He shook his head. Hopefully you would.

He laid on his back and stretched out, watching the fur change to porcelain white bones, his fur getting shorter on his head changing to a tuff of bangs.

He smiled finally back to his normal form, he adjusts his flannel shirt fixing the collar from looking silly for you.

He heard the screen door open as you stood next to him, a pink blush on your cheeks. "A-ash?"

He nods. "Yes, it's me. I thought you'd prefer this form. Anyway, I should be walkin' ya home lass."

He smiles and takes your hand in his, it being very warm in your cold one.

"Now, just tell me if I'm goin' to fast alright?" He asks.

"Wha-" He cuts you off and tosses you on his back. "Ya might wanna hold on there, don't want ta loose ya now do I?" He chuckles.

You shake your hand and wrap your arms around his neck, your legs clutched in his arms. He was basically giving you a piggy back ride but much faster.

Before you knew it, he had already taken off in an incredible speed, the wind blowing your hair back.

~~~~~~~~~~
Once at your cottage, Asher set you down keeping his hands on your shoulders, making sure you don't fall.
"Are ya dizzy? I'm sorry if I went too fast, I just wanted ya safe and sound as soon as possible." He smiles, eyes full of worry.
You nod and hug him. "I'm fine, Thank you Ash."
He smiles, a tad bit of orange on his cheeks. "Aye, you're welcome lass. I'm just makin' sure ya got home alright. Don't want your auntie worried." He ruffles your hair.
"Thank you again. I was afraid I'd get lost." You pull away from him. "I hope to see you again soon Wolfie."
He chuckles, scratching behind his neck nervously. "I'll be seein' ya soon red." He winks before turning and jumping into the brush, the same wolf from earlier today sent a nod to you before running off.
You felt your heart flutter as you entered your house.
You aunt sent a smile to you. "Wow, you got home fast. How's grandma?"
You had a dazed, lovestruck look on your face as you walked up to your room. "Oh, he's great."
"That's good to hear- wait.. What?"
End. I hope you enjoyed, I got bored.
