Jasper x reader. But, his death takes place in a more modern setting.

Basically my attempt at angst. Sorry if this flops.

His wife is finally named.

If his pic is there, its him alive. Someone please give him a hug.

(FEELS AHEAD!)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Living in a small town wasn't that bad, everyone knew everyone. You worked in a small market, selling your home grown apples to the towns folk.
Only a few monsters lived in your town, but one was far more famous for marrying the towns beauty. The monster himself was a friend of yours.
Before he married Victoria, you and him were very close. Always looking out for one another, helping each other with work.
You still held feelings for the tall skeleton male, always dressed to perfection with ghostly lavender eyes that sparkled like the nights sky.
Victoria was a lucky lady, he was a total sweetheart. You were envious of her at first, yet you just wanted Jasper to be happy.
However as years passed, you noticed things about the pale woman. She was greedy... You've always had a bad feeling about her, you've tried to warn Jasper about her from the start, yet he was far too lovestruck to listen to you.
He had come to you one night, his sensitive soul crying out loudly to you. The two of them had gotten in a verbal argument. Once again she wanted more from him than he could give.
Jasper held magic much like every monster, yet he wasn't fertile. He could not give his wife a child that she desired.
Not even all of the money he held could help her get pregnant. No matter what he tried it couldn't work.
She blamed him for it and stormed out that night, she didn't return for weeks. Almost a month.
You've never seen Jasper this depressed. You tried to call him, tried to visit him yet he would only mutter a few words to you before blocking everyone else out again.
But, once she did return, she was always running around with some human male who was far more handsome based on human standards.
It made you sick how she was messing around behind your dear friends back. And he couldn't even see it, far too blind by love.
"Jasper I'm telling you she isn't good for you! Why don't you see that!" You cried out to him.
He simply shook his head. "Y/n, you don't understand! She wouldn't do something so horrible! You don't know her like I do!"
"I don't think you know her as much as you think you do!" You argue.
He shook you off and stormed out of the store, tipping his hat to you for the last time.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

You hadn't heard from him since then, yet you saw him and Victoria walk around town, him looking happier than ever, yet she looked annoyed.

Her boy toy would always show up once Jasper left for work, he was a hypnotist after all. And since he couldn't have children of his own, he preformed magic shows for children's birthdays.

Your heart hurt, you hated seeing your dear friend being used. He was so oblivious.

You let out a pitiful sigh, looking over the photo albums you had of you and him doing many stupid poses at the park. You would help him with his magic shows, you smiled seeing the picture of him you and a couple of kids.

He would have been the best father. You thought, letting out another sigh.

Rain peddled against your window as thunder cracked in the sky. The lightning had flashed in the sky when you saw a car skidding quickly down the bend, seeming to be running away from something.

Looking out your window, it was Victoria's car? Her boy toy driving the hell out of it as they turned the corner in a hurry.

Suddenly you felt your heart sink.. And a chill went down
your spine...

Something was wrong.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Mud caked your rain boots as you ran up the gravel driveway, your hair was soaked but you didn't care as you run up to the manor.
Jasper's front gate was open, which was odd, it was always locked, tire tracks were skidded in the grass and mud.
The front door was wide open as you walked into the living room. Everything was a mess, like someone had ransacked the place for their things in a hurry. Or robbery.
"Jasper! Jasper what's going on!" You yell, only to receive no answer.
The house was far too quiet for your liking. Dread sunk in your stomach was you slowly made your way up the stairs.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

"Jasper?" You call out once again, still only getting replied with silence.

Finally reaching the master bedroom, the scent of blood and marrow filled your nose making you want to gag.

Soft gasping caught your attention as you looked over the bed, only to find Jasper laying in a pool of his own blood, clutching his throat and struggling to breathe.

"Jasper!" You ran to his side, grabbing onto the sheets to apply pressure to his wound.

"She did this to you didn't she!? I'm calling the police!" You rip your phone out of your pockets to dial.

One of his hands grabbed yours, running his thumb over your knuckles. His fading eye lights meet yours.

You hold onto him, tears falling down your cheeks as you held your dear friend close.

He tried to speak, yet struggled due to the massive slit on his cut throat. "...I.. I... W-was b-b-lind.. I--im.." He gasps, his voice softer than a whisper.

"...I'm s-sorry,.. I-i.. I l-love y-you.. Y/n..." He coughs, looking own at his hands which were fading to dust as he spoke..

"Jasper! N-n-no! They're coming! You ---you're gonna make it!" Your heart breaks as marrow leaks from his chin, he smiles sadly up at you.

"Y-you are th-the.. ....o.... Only... Bl-blessing I.. I.... Had... S-stay p-pure for me... Y/n." His eye sockets go black as his body turns to dust in your arms.

Sirens are heard in the background, as a white soul shatters like glass.

I am so sorry guys for this angst. I actually teared up a bit, not gonna lie.
