"After so many things he had done Suvo why are you still in touch with him and why is he here?"

"Tuli I swear I didn't invited him over. I had no idea he was coming! Trust me!"

"Trust?..."

"Tuli please..."

"You are working with him. You never even told me that!"

"Well you didn't care to know anything!"

The words were out of his mouth before he could realise. Shuvro could see the jolt that ran through her body. Her eyes lingered on him throwing daggers. Her jaw clenched so tightly that the mussels along her temple of fore head bulged visually.

How dare he!!! Her mind growled.

"I didn't care?" The sentence came out as a question much to her surprise. She knew she didn't care. No she didn't! He was know one to her. Once upon a time she thought him as her best friend. But not anymore.

Not for once he tried to understand her or her feelings for Sumedh. Not for once! He was so egoistic and arrogance of his own and so so selfish! All he ever wanted was her for his own. His right on her. He never care what she wanted. No! Never! Not once!

"You did?" Shuvro's words were again out before he could hear and approve them. What was he going to do? He didn't want to say these things. He didn't care whether she cared for her or no, yes he would evidently appreciate a little acknowledgement from her of his being. But he was not suppose to push her. But it was like his mouth was not listening to his brain anymore as he heard himself saying. "Well cause I don't remember you even acknowledging my presence after 11th. You didn't care about what I was doing after 12th - What subject I was taking - that I was almost failing in Biology - or when I cracked IIT or not and yah Ratul was with me there too. You never cared about anything that even remotely related to me. Not even when my parents died Tuli! and I was dying too... every day..." Shuvro bite his lower lip to stop him from talking as the edge of his voice cracked and a lump formed inside his throat hurting him.

He realised his eyes were burning and to prevent that tears were gathering around his eyelids. He looked down tightening his jaw. No he couldn't cry. Not infront of her. Her who was looking at him, like she had seen some ghost.

Her gaze penetrated inside him as if trying to detect the honesty in his words.

The back of Shuvro's throat was still paining. He inhaled sharply to cure that. He licked the inner edge of his lips. His Adam's apple bounced up and down as he gulped his saliva. And then he stormed out without sparing a second glance at her.

"Was he really a bad... I mean that bad guy?" Renuka munched some of the deep fried chopped onion that Tuli had just poured out of the frying pan. Yes she was cooking a chicken dish today.

An hour ago she had stormed inside the kitchen and started raiding the refrigerator making Chaya startled like a deer in headlight.

"What do you want boudimoni tell me. I will cook it." Chaya had mumbled eyeing Tuli's activities.

"What are you cooking for lunch?"

Chaya had got another question in answer to her question.

"A dish of vegetable, daal and Chicken curry. Suvoda told me to make it a little spicy as you wanted to have, I will make it like wise. You go and have rest." Chaya smiled cautiously. She hadn't really understood Tuli totally. Tuli was a really weird woman who was not sleeping in the same room of her husband, she was always scowling, and always had a grave face on. Ofcourse Chaya had been mad at Monisha's father too! But not at this extreme. And how could she forget the drama of the first night, the fulsojya! and at the lunch at the following day!

She looked at Tuli cautiously always. As if she could leap on her to attack at any moment.

"Perfect! And I am not going anywhere. I am cooking the chicken today. Move!" Tuli spoke, putting her long hair in a bun. Her demand shook Chaya till an extension making her stare at her as if she had heard her saying some impossible theory.

"But why do you need to? I will cook nicely..." she stammered.

"You don't need to think about that. Oil your own machine. And if you can just chop the veggies. That'll be all." Tuli mouthed initiating to wash the chickens.

Now her words could offend Chaya, but there was something in Tuli's demand that made her just smile in longings towards this weird new bride of her Suvoda and she just patted her shoulder a little before moving to do as she was said.

Now Renuka was sitting on the kitchen slap seeing her sister cook after a long time as she poured all of her quarries. "I mean you guys seemed a lot agitated seeing him..."

"He is no Bollywood film villain Renu, but ya he is a bad guy. He has done a lot of things costing a lot. He is a manipulative, mean man... not a good company to keep." Tuli growled.

"Really? But such a good looking fellow Boudimoni!" Chaya failed to hide her surprise. "No one could tell looking at that face!" She widen her eyes looking a Renuka shaking her head in shock. Renu bit her lip to hide a creeping smile.

The statement created a sad smile on Tuli as she remembered everything. "Only if face could be really the mirror of mind!" She sighed. "That man is cunning, tremendously cunning man, who could only bring disaster. Such a selfish man... Renu you know Butu and Pulu right?" Tuli called out Renuka who nodded lightly. "You have no idea what he had brought down on those two. Pulu, such a sweet heart! That man was about to ruin her life to such an extent you have no idea..." Tuli continued growling, describing all the actions of Ratul. The continuous blabbering oil up her working speed.

Chaya kept on listening to her boudimoni with a wide mouth, and following her demands in between.

Renuka's mind was roaming somewhere else. She was hearing everything her sister was saying. She was figuring the extent to disaster that was possible if she listened to what her mind was saying. But expression stayed neutral, munching the onions.

Only if mind could actually be the mirror of mind!

The activities of the three ladies paused for a moment as the main door bell rang up.

Clearing her throat Renu ran towards it. She needed to go a little away from the kitchen to calm her nerves. She took a deep breath while opening the door.

"Suvoda!" Renu chirped, as Shuvro walked through the door. "Where were you?" She tried to divert her mind.

"I...was out." He cleared his voice taking off his shoes, unaware of a pair of eyes which were trying to be trained to stay elsewhere than him and a pair of ears that perked up as soon as he walked in.

"Oh! Well take a bath quickly. Tulididi is cooking!" Renuka smiled widely.

Shuvro's eyes zeroed towards the kitchen area as soon as that to detect the truthful of what he heard.

She never cooked!!!

Well he was in for a surprise indeed. He saw Tuli roaming inside the kitchen here and there with a spatula. His stomach growled at the saliva warming smell that was coming from the area. He gulped and realised that the drama of the morning didn't let him have the breakfast even neither did his wife.

"Did you take the medicines?" He asked Tuli as he approached kitchen.

"I am fine." He heard her answer.

"Sure. You must know best!" He scowled and ran his fingers through his hair. "I would ask why you needed to take upon this responsibility when you had just gained the strength to stand up properly. But then, you must know the best!" He growled again, irritated by his own irritation.

Tuli's hand froze on the spatula she was tossing the chicken with.

'Why so grumpy you moron!!! Try and say something which is needed to be said at that time, for once in your life you sucker!' The back of Shuvro's mind growled. He huffed being irritated to own self and stormed at his room to take a shower.

Chaya could sense the sinking of Tuli's mind by the look of her face. She quickly snake her hand around Tuli's shoulder saying, "its okay, he is just worried boudimoni." She rubbed Tuli's forearm to comfort her.

Tuli bit her lip.

"Jij cares a lot about you Tulididi. And he is right even. You have just recovered..." Renuka's voice trailed off at Tuli turned at her throwing daggers at her with glaring eyes.

Then Tuli turned at Chaya and growled, "don't serve Chicken to him. I swear it won't bring any good to you if you do otherwise."...
