Tuli's mother came once when Tuli was ill but Subhro didn't let her stay making her realise Tuli's father needed her more, and Subhro was there to look after Tuli. Tuli was unconscious then and needed to be taken care of, so his being in her room could be justified to her. But now! Now she was no more out of her senses, she would not like him staying with her in same room. She hardly could stand him around for limited time, how was she suppose to spend one whole night with him. And He didn't even know for how long Renuka was about to stay. And he didn't want to impose himself on Tuli.

The long chain of Subhro's thought broke by Renuka's voice.

"Subho da where is a Tulididi?"

Subhro took a moment to register her question and cleared his throat before replying, "um... upstairs must be, in her.. our. In our room. She is not well, may be you don't know."

"Oh I heard something from maa. But didn't realize she was still sick. What happened is she feeling any better now? I came in a wrong time didn't I?" Worries and hesitation was clearly clouding a shadow in Renuka's tone.

Subhro took a look of her. He wanted to be honest with her, and get rid of the storm that was blowing every piece and peace inside him. But then she looked at her and the girl that was like his sister was looking back at him with apology filled eyes.

"Are you being crazy? No way. You have done the right thing coming here in this rain." He smiled swiping away her hesitations. "And your sister is fine now. Well not totally though. But she too can get a help of a company." He patted her hair and led her to Tuli.

"The Khichuri was 'faaav' Subho da." Renuka exclaimed making the hand sing of excellence by touching the thumb's tip with index finger's. "And that too in this weather. It wow!"

"I hope that's genuine compliment, cause if you are being sarcastic, I am sorry I can't do anything about it. My cuisine stock is limited." Subhro replied while munching the food.

"Oh I am so dead serious, I am not joking at all..."

"Well thank you."

The conversation between the cousin in laws brought a charm back on the dining table after a long time.

Tuli stayed mum spectator of the conversation. Her face's expression refused give away anything that was on her mind.

She had a chat with Renuka but failed to show any excitement. Renu thinking that her caused of illness didn't bugged her and helped Subhro in making of the dinner.

After dinner Subhro showed Renu to the guest room upstairs before going to sleep. Coming downstairs he remembered something and then rushed to the kitchen to grab a bottle of water and rushed back upstairs to hand Renu that.

With a small smile Renu giggle, "you are giving major husband goals; you know jij!!! Like you are taking so well care of Tulididi and now this... taking up the role of the lady of the house..."

"Well tale your didi that..." he gave her a half hurt smile.

Renu giggled not noticing the sigh Subhro exhaled. He then pulled a smirk on his face looking down at Renu "now now, don't be sad, we will find one for you too..." he said cheekily with a pat on her hair.

She giggled back.

Subhro came down the stairs and almost bumped with Tuli who was standing at the very first step of the stair.

She glanced up at him. The poignancy in the glare made him stop in his way.

"You forgot to give me the medicines." She hissed.

Flabbergasted Subhro's mouth couldn't process words for one moment. And then he nodded quickly "yah. No. I didn't forget, I was about to go." And he rushed to Tuli's room followed by Tulu herself.

Ripping the follicle of the tablets he handed her the pills and the water bottle.

Gulping down the pills in a go, Tuli growled "elaborate me the medicines, when and which one I need to have. I don't wanna interrupt anyone's work or something..."

Taking a good look of Tuli's red face Subhro sighed and shaking his head he murmured, "sometimes I don't understand what you want or say." He put the foil of tablets with a light throw inside the drawer of the bed side table, and ran his hand frustratingly though his hair.

Tuli kept looking at him with flaring eyes and mouthed "there was only one man who ever understood me thoroughly. And he is dead. I don't expect anyone else to do that..."

"Funny. Cause through out the entire school life I heard I Subhro Roychoudhury was the one... who understands you." He hissed out and instantly regretted after looking up at her face. Cause never he wanted to impose himself on her by saying these things. That too when she was ill.

Tuli looked at him like a wounded tigress.

Again runing his fingers through his hairs Subhro sighed sharply and left the room quickly.

Next day Tuli woke up to the sound of the door bell being pressed crazily.

Opening the door Subhro froze at the doorstep.

"You said your wife is deadly sick. Came to see my childhood friend..."

Ratul grinned cockily looking at him...
