In the POV of Dream, The Next Day

It's 3:24 AM and we're on the couch. She's sleeping on me. We haven't eaten dinner or lunch since yesterday. We just skipped it. Her light snores are the only sound through the room. I scroll through my phone and look at the Museum tickets. They're for 12, another 9 hours. I turn on the lamp next to me and lightly shake Y/n. Her bright e/c eyes flutter open, looking around for the clock.

"3:24. We might as well stream before I take you to the Museum." She nods and yawns, getting up quickly and running to the pantry. She grabs a bag of goldfish before grabbing her keys.

"Studio. We're going to play Phasmophobia in the dark there. Jack or Wilbur is probably up and can get us another person." She opens a drawer from the kitchen and reveals a gaming laptop.

"You just have that in the kitchen?"

"I never know when I might need it." She smiles and goes to the door opening it and bowing. "Ladies first," she teases.

"Gladly, thank you," I retort, walking through the door with my slides on. We go to the car and she gets in the driver's side. She throws her phone at me and asks me to call Wilbur or Jack. The phone rings as I click Wilbur's contact first.

"Hello? Isn't it 3 AM for you Y/n?" He asks confused.

"It's Clay actually and yeah, it is. We wanted to know if you wanted to play Phasmophobia with us."

"Sure! I'll call Jack since that'll make 4," he says before hanging up. We pull into a tall building's parking lot and park. We walk to her designated office and get situated before turning the lights off.

"Hi, Chat! Dream and I were up early so we decided to play a spooky game at 3 AM." The clock reads 3: 49 AM, making the timing great. "Wilbur and Jack will join us as we load into the game since proximity will be on!" We load in and then she mentions the lights being off. We start the game quickly and I grab a spirit box. She grabs an EMF reader and book. Jack grabs a crucifix and Wilbur a thermometer and salt. We walk into a small forest home and inspect the house. We find an Ouija Board and use it to find out the ghost is in the kitchen.

"Oi, Kelly, do you like Jesus?" Jack asks before the ghost begins a hunt.

"Kelly, go for Jack!" Will screeches. The hunt ends and he yells "Freezing temperatures everyone!" He begins to place salt in the kitchen when another ends. I try talking through spirit box but nothing is detectable. The hunt ends once more and I go to the van, looking at our Sanity Levels.

"We're all very low on Sanity, guys," I say through the radio system.

"Could be a demon if it has writing or fingerprints. They affect sanity with Ouija Board usage," Wilbur says. I grab a UV flashlight and sure enough, there are fingerprints.

"Any ghost orbs or EMF5," I ask. A quick array of no's come from everyone as the next hunt starts. Wilbur dies while Jack yells at the ghost about saving 15% of her soul when she invests in Jesus.

"I'm putting a book down," Y/n says. I go to the kitchen and we see ghostwriting. She dies seconds into the hunt and Jack and I run to the van. We fill in our books and look at our objectives. All seemingly done but we need photos. We go in with a camera quick, take pictures, and get out. We finish the mission and we got it right. We begin another game and go to the subdivision home.

"I'll set up a camera and D.O.T.S. projector," Jack says as he walks into the house cheerfully. I walk in after, holding out the EMF Reader. Y/n follows with a Spirit Box, UV flashlight, and book. Wilbur goes behind us all with a photography camera and thermometer. We go inside and start looking around with EMF, which goes to 5 in the master bedroom. Y/n starts talking in the spirit box, quickly receiving an answer, making it either a wraith, spirit, or the twins. Wilbur sets up the D.O.T.S. projector and camera when a hunt begins, taking Y/n first.

"No!" yells right before dying. "What the hell, that was bogus. I didn't even do anything to it!" Chat laughs at her as she groans.

"Hey, we can hear Y/n through your mic Dream," Jack says with a laugh, making Y/n yell again as a retort. We all laugh as we head to the van, not caring about any other objective than the main one, figuring out the type of ghost.

"Alright, D.O.T.S projector just showed it. It's a Wraith," Wilbur says while looking at the computer. We quickly put it in the book before closing up the van, to see we won and got it right.

"Alright well thank you for coming Wilbur and Jack, I know it's early," Y/n starts, about to wrap up stream

"What about me? I want to feel appreciated," I joke.

"I've appreciated you enough this week. Anyway, thanks to chat for coming too," she continues to wrap up stream, reading past donos as she does.

"This is stupid," I mutter, making Will and Jack laugh. Y/n ignores us and continues doing her own thing.

"Yeah, seems like it. He's a simp, Wilbur!" Jack says, making us both laugh.

"Imagine being that down bad and getting ignored," Will teases, making Jack loose his mind in laughter.

"Don't make me bring music lyrics into this, Wilbur," I tease back, making Jack cry in hysterics.

"He's going to go to Genius.com and type in I'm in love with an egirl!" Jack yells. We all laugh, the three of us in hysterics as Y/n tries very hard to ignore us.

"Shut up will you, I'm trying to wrap up stream," she jokes. We all leave call and I sneak up on her, peaking at the monitors from behind her. "Anyways, thank you all so much and I hope you have a good rest of your day." I know what she's about to say, I can guess it.

"Bye!" I say in sync with her, the end stream button already clicked before she could yell at me.

"You're an idiot," she jokes, a smile spreading across her face

(Play One Of Us by New Politics)

"Your idiot," I say back, a smile growing on me as well.

The clock reads 6 and Y/n puts the laptop I was using in her desk drawer. She begins to lock down the office before leaving. I follow, closing the door behind us and we rush to the top floor of the complex. We go into a strict no-access roof door. We go onto the roof and she runs to the edge of the railed building. She looks to the bustling city below and then to the rainbow colors filling the sky.

"Perfect timing. The sunrise!" She smiles brightly and watches as the colors slowly change into the muted blue sky. But suddenly, the blue sky isn't muted. Rather, it is strangely saturated. But I know the reason already. It's her, lighting up my world. Making the boring and dull into a refreshing experience. It's her, making the experience of life seem less banal and more exciting.
