"Are you going to speak it up, or should I initiate the topic?" I heard Samaira talking from beside me. As promised, she had brought extra tiffin with her also might have heard the rumours spreading in every corner. "I wished I could have heard it from my bestie than a mere stranger." I sighed. She wasn't going to leave the topic. I had brushed it off many times from yesterday, but finally, she was hellbent to bring those words out.

"Do you think I overreacted? I shouldn't have said those things. Who am I to judge people? But I judged those girls... I..." Those were the thoughts roaming in my mind from past incidents. I could have not spoken those words. I could have managed my anger. "Oh, my! Often I speak bullshit in anger." Confessing my inner guilt, I never enjoy hurting people. He had humiliated me. Despite that, it felt bad.

I was staring at her straight to get some answers from her; she shook her head. "I can't believe after everything you feel you hadn't reacted. If I was there, I might have even slapped him." She rolled her eyes at me and patting my shoulder. "Chill, whatever you might have done he deserved a thousand per cent more." That comment, with a taste of disgust, made me smile. I knew, I was gifted with many protected shields in my life and she too was one of them. People when got close to me define me as a child and desired to protect me in any manner they could. I knew I was innocent and maybe I knew no defence skills to protect me but still, I was mature and I could take care of myself. But it often filled my heart with delight whenever someone protected me, it indicated that they care and it was an awesome feeling.

Later the day was pretty good, as my mood was shifted from the previous day events. I had moved on from it when during our English lecture, our class teacher, as in the lady who teaches us Science interrupted the class. It wasn't something new, many times we were interrupted and we enjoy some bonus free minutes. Soon students started talking among themselves while obedient children like me, planned to complete the note before it brushed off from the board.

"Students! Listen," Mrs Gupta spoke. I was darting from her to board, providing both with equal attention. "Is Ms Ruhi Raichand present?" And she pulled my entire attention. Why was she asking for me? She was going to repeat my name again as I slowly stood from my seat. She smiled on getting my view, her black big orbs were shining in delight under her thick round glasses. "Come outside, need to talk with you." I nodded, not bothering to look at my equally confused friend. It seemed strange to move out as others attention was on me and thousands of questions pondering my brain. Why would Mrs Gupta call me? We had no test latterly! I could think of only one reason that was ending up with below-average marks for her subject.

As we were finally out of the class, I closed the door behind me. She stopped just outside the door. "You had participated in a dancing competition, right?" She inquired, and I nodded in agreement. "Unfortunately, some were disqualified and previous members were selected but a un usual incident happened with one for the dancer and you are chosen as a replacement." She paused waiting for an anticipated response. What was she uttering, first I wasn't disqualified I backed off! Okay, that sounds horrible but whatever, second who was even the previous member? And third, why was I the one chosen? Out of the whole school!

"I know this is an important year and my class students are concentrating on their studies but I will say if you're getting the opportunity, you should grab it. This will mark some extra performance in your end result. There is a scholarship provided to the student participating, you should grab it. And plus, you have no option, I had been told you're a promising dancer and I am not taking a no for an answer." She smiled, again waiting for my answer. What was even left? she had clearly mentioned it. I gave a slight nod, how even I could deny it? I had no excuse to provide her with, my mind was startled enough to come up with some excuse.

"Good! I had anticipated the same. Now, go and carry on with your studies. You're staying back after school and practice are happening in our school auditorium." I again repeated my gesture, nodding to her words. Made my way back inside, fully engrossed in thoughts.

"What's the deal?" Samaira whispered as I took a seat beside her.

"Hmm... I am chosen for participating in the dance competitions."

"What!" Her shout was loud enough to grab the attention of the boys in front of us. The one raised a brow at us while Samaira offered him a sheepish smile.

"But why?" She whispered not intending to grab the teacher attention, who was explaining something from the book.

"A dancer is injured and I am a replacement. I am not understanding who told her, I am a promising dancer." I rolled my eyes at those words. I was nothing among those talented people, and it would be almost insulting to see her expectation broken. Ehaan would push me out of the auditorium on getting my glimpse. Wait! Ehaan would be present! I didn't want to encounter him again! Not after the cafeteria collision.

"I can say, she isn't wrong." She expressed, making me glare at her. She never got enough complimenting my dancing skill, she always thought I was a better dancer than her. "So? Are you going to?" She inquired.

I shrugged my shoulder, "I am provided with no option." I hated it!

The few remaining lectures went at high speed! Or was it me who wasn't desired for the school to end? I wasn't prepared to meet the popular gang again! None of them was pleasing and upon been alone to deal with them was further complicating the matter. I couldn't ask Samaira to stay with me, she hadn't prepared herself to deal with Varun. She was trying to move on and I wasn't aware if Varun would be present.

"Are you, sure? I can wait for you." She was reassuring that her absence won't do more trouble.

"You and I know, you aren't prepared for it." She stared at me without words, we both were so similar. The other person came prior to our priority. "I can deal with it." I blinked my eyes to assure her.

"Fine, just call me when you reach home." I gave her half heartily nod, so I wanted her to stay behind. I had no drive back home which meant travelling by public transport and there was nothing amazing about it. "Try to enjoy," giving me a hug she walked out of the class. Leaving me alone in the empty room, I had to pass two hours with my own company. I was well confident of myself that I won't initiate a conversation with strangers and none would be interested in the unpopular girl like me when gorgeous people would be surrounding them. I was hoping for the best, wasting some time in the cafeteria and my classroom with some scrolling down the phone.

As the time approached I started my way towards the destination. Hoping for the best scenarios while my mind was clouded with worse that could happen. Clutching the bag strips much tighter, I slowly pushed open the auditorium door. Unlike my last visit, it wasn't vacant. Groups of people had accumulated in different corners, I inhaled slowly. As the door was opened their attention was grabbed and they were staring at me. Some with confusion, some amazement, some suspicious, while a person among the crowd had the smirk.

I was anticipating a furious gaze, not the mischief was radiating from the dark brown orbs. I thought he would spill venom if we ever met again but his attitude was baffling and that got me suspicious. I could never trust that human! His eyes were straight at me, I diverted my gaze taking a step forward. Glancing at others present, as expected his entire gang was present. And much to my surprise even Rudr along with his sister accompanied by his gang. It was going to be a tough hour! I had to deal with more drama and it was going to be a daily occurrence. I was exhausted thinking about it! I wasn't a fan of dramas, not when I was part of it.

Suddenly, Ehaan clapped his hand. Grabbing attention from others who were still busy staring at me. "As you are aware, Mia is having an injury. We have a replacement for her," his eyes directed towards me. That smirk hadn't moved from his face for a second, was he serious? Mia's replacement! Me! According to Varun, she was a brilliant dancer and I couldn't ever match her. What was he planning? He took rush strides towards me. Slowly the mischief in his orbs was changing, eyes turning darker until it showcased rage.

He stopped just in front of me, leaning as to make direct eye contact due to our height difference. "Welcome to the hell!" He announced if his eyes could turn any darker. "A wonderful revenge is on your way, you will regret forever opening not so the pretty mouth of yours." His eyes lingered on my lips, I gulped.

He turned suddenly as if realising what he was doing. "So, where was I?" He questioned facing his audience. He was already having their attention, he had that aura. To charm people!

"Mia's replacement!" Came an excited tone from the audience and it was his friend, Aarav. He seemed as interested in it as Ehaan. Same smirk radiating from him as his eyes were on me.

"Yes, and she is none other than..." Ehaan's eyes back on me. "Ms Ruhi..." he made it a point to display the revulsion he had for that name. "Raichand..." Gritting his teeth at the end. With one brief look, he walked away. I couldn't believe myself, for his mere revenge, he risked the chances of winning. How he could be so cruel? He was keeping the school's reputation at stake?

"Let's start with the practice, I want to see how amazing is my replacement." I heard Mia voice coming from the front seat, she made herself comfortable. She had a devil smile as her eyes were fixed on Ehaan, he winked back at her. Why it seemed something was fishy?

She had seated with a bandage around her knees. Her brother besides, glared at Ehaan hard. He too wasn't finding the exchange desirable.

"Yeah, let's start the fun!" Ehaan shouted as he stood on the stage, slowly others moved towards their assigned place. I made my way towards it as well. Not knowing what else I could do? I couldn't rush out of the auditorium, I had to deal with it. And maybe flop whatever plan Ehaan had planned against me. If only it could be possible!
