I glimpsed myself in the mirror. The figure seemed pleasing. I was always offered a beautiful figure when I made an afford to look good. I was wearing a grown embroidered with sliver crystal, having the colour of snow. It was a sleeveless gown, the front part reaching inches above my feet while the back portion strolled to the ground.

I was amazed when I had first glanced at the piece. I glimpsed myself again in the mirror, adoring myself. The beautiful piece of cloth had forced me to take extra afford. I had combed my brown hairs into a bun, allowing two loose strands from either side to kiss my cheeks. Applying a layer of mascara with a slight shade of pink on the lip. I was done, adding the last detail. A hairband of silver colour, a huge butterfly on the top. I smiled at my hard work.

"What a pretty girl!" I heard a compliment, turning to face the source. The proud smile was overlapping his face. A pang of sudden guilt covered my heart. The news would break his heart! But I managed to fake a smile at him. He frowned yet didn't voice it out. "Seems like the entire crowd is going to eye my princess." He seemed protective as he managed to place his hand over my back. The look of adoration never left his face.

"Shouldn't they be busy staring at your queen?" I countered back indicating my mom.

"No!" he waved off, chuckling at the end. "Don't tell anyone, but the Queen had lost her glow. She is an old woman now!" He acted like whispering to my ears, I giggled in response.

"Oh! Yeah, King doesn't seem any young as well." I played along, he pouted at my words.

"Princess had changed a lot. Now she no longer finds King young..." I laughed hard listening to him, he seemed so cute.

"Maybe princess had found her prince." Mom joined our conversation making the laugh to die. I huffed in annoyance, glaring at mom. The topic of prince never pleased me, not when my parents teased me on the matter.

Unlike other moments dad didn't continue, his hand on my waist tightened. I saw a hint of concern in his black orbs. I wanted to question him yet I was afraid of the answer.

"Let's get into the car, we might end up late." With those words, he walked out of my room. I stared at mom with a question, she pressed a smile.

"Come..." following dad we walked out as well.

The ride for the venue was filled with silence. It depicted dad mood wasn't pleasant. Mom attempted to initiate a conversation twice but dad jerked it off. I kept staring out of the window, lost in thoughts. It wandered from dad to Ehaan. Somewhere I knew dad had a dislike towards Ehaan. They hadn't met officially yet his unusual disappearance on the competition day hadn't gone unnoticed. Dad hadn't concealed his revulsion from me but I never musted up the courage to question about it to him.

I shook my head trying to divert my mind. The last encounter I had with Ehaan flashed in my mind. His eyes showed concern, he slapped Mia. Those furious strikes towards the parking lot and later treating my wound. I glanced at my bruise soft skin, my parents hadn't noticed it. Intentionally I had applied some cream to hide it from prying eyes. I knew I had started concealing things from my parents. I never was such a girl but from the day Ehaan had entered into my life, I had become one.

It was getting complicated. I couldn't share everything with them. I had no energy left to explain them above all and most importantly they won't ever understand. Dad disliking towards Ehaan would increase if he got a mere hint of Ehaan's earlier revenge towards me. The cold stare of Ehaan flashed in my brain, the stare he offered me before leaving. He was so strange! One moment he would go soft and another second turn the monster he was. I bit my lip, inhaling deeply. I was drained by all the events happening in my life. I needed a break!

The car came to halt. Bringing my train of thoughts to a halt as well. I spare a glance around rather than meeting with a pleasant restaurant my eyes landed on a marvellous mansion. My jaw dropped open and my eyes widen in surprise.

"What a pleasant view!" Expressed mom, her eyes shining in delight.

"Told you, it would be an enjoyable evening." Dad mood had lightened a little as a hint of a smile reached his lip. I smiled wide and followed my parents out of the car. I had never seen such beautiful architecture. The beautiful piece of art attracted me, it was a thousand per cent grander than Samaira's mansion. With the enthusiasm, I clicked one photo. Samaira would surely mention that I found my new fairyland. I chuckled at my own thoughts as I followed behind my parents.

The path towards the entrance was filled with many security staff. There was a tough procedure to enter inside the biggest luxurious mansion. It wasn't a secret that the mansion belonged to some high personality. After examining our card, we were allowed in. Not before the guard spying eyes pierced our skin.

"Why are such loud security?" Mom questioned annoyed as we entered. Dad shrugged his shoulder not in a mood to offer us the answer. I rolled my eyes, glancing in the surrounding. The interior did justice with my expectation. The huge corridor, waiters wandering at every corner with their prescribed uniform.

My eyes wandered further as we walked into the main hall. In the area where the event was going to take place, every corner was filled with people. Those chatting among themselves, some busy having their share of food while many few in the bar at the corner. I had never entered business parties and nothing close to the enormous event taking place before my eyes. I felt so weak and inferior among the crowd. Fortunately, I had my parents beside me.

Soon different people greeted them, and they got engrossed in talking with one another. Dad separated from us among his group of friends while mom was busy with hers. One of the girls of my age, that seemed to be the daughter of one of my mom's friends greeted me.

"Hi! I am Bushra," she whispered offering me the sweetest smile of hers. She seemed younger than me but had the same height as mine. Her face was glowing with happiness as if she was enjoying her stay at the party.

"Hi! Ruhi," I introduced myself as well, trying to smile at her.

"What are you doing over here?" She questioned staring at some corner. "Let's go there..." she pointed out. "They are having fun." I glanced in the direction, there were a group of children merely of my age, some older. They were busy talking with each other as if known each other for years. I hesitated but mom touched my shoulder grabbing my attention.

"You will get bored, go and have fun with them." She prompted. I flashed a fake smile walking along with a stranger.

How on earth was I supposed to have fun with a group of strangers was beyond my thinking capacity? Soon, we reached the group. Some eyes landed on us while a few royally ignored our presence. "Hey, Bushra..." a voice from the crowd called the girl beside me. She turned towards the guy, he seemed older than us and much high in height. His eyes danced in mischief as it wandered from the girl towards me. "Who is the new girl in the town? Never had seen her before." His words made me realise they knew each other. I was only the stranger among the group of friends.

"She is Ruhi..."

"Ruhi," the smirk grew on his face. Reminding me of a familiar face, Ehaan. A sad smile crossed and I bit my lower lip. Our last encounter and he just walk away from me, had saddened me. I hated when he acted cruelly towards me. "Beautiful name for a beautiful girl," the stranger winked at me. I looked at him in distaste, he was trying to flirt with me. His first impression wasn't appealing to me.

"And me Viraj," he extended his hand for a handshake. I hesitated, his vibes weren't something I was comfortable with. I shook my hand with him, the smirk wasn't leaving his face. "Nice to meet you and will love to know you as a person." His eyes roamed from my hairs to the toes, hidden emotions underlying in his black orbs.

I pressed my lip, forcing a smile. "Same here..." His smirk widen on my gesture clearly understanding I wasn't liking him.

"Had you met the wedding couple yet?" He raised his brow, not leaving my hand. "They are the most beautiful couple and why won't they be?" He winked at the end. "He is my brother after all..." My eyes widen, brother? Did it mean the person standing before me was the son of the boss?

"Brother?"

"Yes, my bigger one." He chuckled, "let's make him meet my new friend." The smug look covered his feature. I shook my head. Trouble won't ever leave my side. On the entire universe, I had to bang with the boss son. I huffed in annoyance, irritated with my tragic faith.

Without giving me a minute to process, he dragged me towards his destination. I was amazed by his over-friendly behaviour. Weren't we strangers?

And as the clumsy person, I am, his dragging ended up with me banging with a person. "Oh!" I gasped in pain, as my head had hit with a strong chest. The cologne seemed familiar; I raised my eyes to glance at the person. A soul in front of me had engulfed himself in black attire, soon my eyes met with the same dark brown orbs. I widen my eyes in amazement, he wasn't less surprised than me.

His stern orbs were replaced with astonishment soon followed by fury. He was showering daggers in a direction; I moved my eyes. His eyes had darkened on seeing Viraj grabbing my hand. I attempted to pull from him but Viraj wasn't allowing me. A smirk played on his lip as his eyes were fixed on Ehaan.

"Hadn't anticipated you would be present, like all those events." He was mocking him, Ehaan showed the least interest in his words. His eyes not averting from our intervened hands. "Enjoying your sister's wedding?" He questioned, pressing back his smile.

Ehaan spared him a glance, "she isn't my sister... get that in your brain." With those words, without sparing me a glance he walked away from us. I could feel him tense up. He wasn't in a good mood. Wait! Sister? He had a sister? Was she marrying Viraj's brother? Oh! And I was attending Ehaan's sister wedding.

"He is such an idiot!" Viraj muttered next to me. "Oh! I don't have to express it to you, well experienced with his antics." He smirks taking a step forward. How come he knew, I knew Ehaan? Was he from our school? No! I had never seen him before.

"Viraj!" A person called from the crowd making him huff. We stared in the direction, there was a group of old personalities among them standing out was my dad. Oh! I pressed a smile at him, pulling my hand away from Viraj grip.

"What!" he sounded amazed by my act but soon let it go. "Come..." he pulled me towards the group. What was happening? Who were they? Dad was accompanying them, maybe they were from his office.

"What is it, dad?" He sounded irritated as he questioned standing in front of the most aged person. Though he was older but seemed the most handsome one. He was wearing a suit the one matching with his son.

"Where are you roaming? I had informed you before, you will need to meet our business clients." He pressed his lip in annoyance, not pleased with his son actions.

"Dad! I am still in school. What will I do meeting your clients?" Viraj wasn't backing off either.

"I had asked you to meet them not to strike a deal. Improving relationship with your employee is the most important trait of a businessman." Muttering it with a smile, he glanced at me. "Who is this wonderful lady with you?" He inquired, the smile wasn't leaving his face.

"My new friend," Viraj scowled at his dad. The elder figure glared at him, "Sorry dad." He apologised in return.

"It's fine sir, he is just a kid." One from the crowd came in support. "How are you doing Mr Viraj?" He pressed a smile at him. Viraj greeted everyone not behaving an idiot I anticipated him as. Soon he walked towards my dad, he hadn't uttered a word till now. But I could sense he wasn't pleased on seeing me beside Viraj.

"Hi, uncle." He shook hand with him. "I heard a lot from dad about your hard work. If ever I could compete with my bro and became the CEO, I won't ever let such a treasure be lost." His words brought a smile to dad's face. Maybe because he could sense the sincerity in his voice. Maybe he wasn't fond of business yet he had major knowledge about it. I was impressed by the way he spoke with each individual, sharing a part of their department as if he knew each one in person.

"If I am done, can I leave?" He expressed his rudeness towards his dad. For which the latter one shook his head, glancing at me.

"Don't spoil the innocent girl." He commented smiling at me, "Raunak Raichand, you had got a very beautiful daughter." Adoration was visible in his orbs, I smiled at his compliment.

Soon, Viraj grabbed my hand again pulling me away from the group. "Look there!" He pointed a few yards away from us. A person in his thirties having similar features as Viraj was whispering something to the girl beside him. He seemed a bigger version of Viraj to me, that brown hairs with black mischiefs orbs were the right combination. His lip spread into a broad smile as if he was so overwhelmed at the moment.

The lady present next to him was glaring at him. Maybe offended by his latest joke as he was chuckling hard next to her. The beautiful feature of her blue orbs and chestnut hairs combed into a bun was making her stand out from the crowd. The most beautiful people ended up together, they seemed in their own bubble. They cared less about the thousands of people accumulated around. As if they were enough for each other. Maybe that is how being in love felt!

"I knew, you would love them." Whispered Virah in my ears. They were soon pulled into the dancing floor, later many couples joined them. My parents were pulled as well and I couldn't help giggling on seeing mom hesitating while dad was dragging her. The most adorable couple ever!

"Man! You're attracting me more with each passing second." A sudden whisper from Viraj pulled my attention to him.

I had started disliking his flirty nature, as he wasn't stopping. I narrowed my eyes at him. His smirk wasn't ready to leave him alone. "What about a dance with the most beautiful creature the creator has ever invented?" He was so full of himself. I diverted my gaze from him. Only to be landed on the source a few distances away but his dark orbs fixed on us. His heating glares were yelling that he was furious, but why?

"Come on! I know you won't miss the chance." With a chuckle, he dragged me into the dance floor. I calmed my nerves. As if assuring, one dance won't be that bad.

His arms slowly slipped around my waist, pulling me much closer towards him. My hands were directed towards his chest. "Let's have a dance with 'Heaven's High' most graceful dancer." My eyes widen in surprise, alarm. "What? Come on! I thought I was popular enough in Thomas..." He winked at the end seeing my baffled state.

He was from our rivalry school. Thomas! He chuckled as I registered the information. "Yes, the biggest rival of Ehaan Kashyap." If my eyes could widen any further. What the hell! How many more rivals did Ehaan possess? "And it so wonderful to see him fuming in anger while I dance with his beautiful girlfriend." The smirk played back on his face, a devilish grin overlapping his entire figure.

I felt an urge to correct his misconception but seemed like he was busy mocking someone with his smirk. I moved my eyes towards the direction but he grabbed my arms pulling me closer and raising me from the floor. The devilish grin was suggesting to me his mind was up with some mischief. He cupped my face with one hand, slowly making me land on the floor. The thumb busy drawing patter on my soft skin, I was suspiciously staring at him. No longer did I feel he was trying to impress me rather his mission was completely different. He was attempting to trigger someone with his acts.

He diverted his gaze from me for a second before leaning towards my ears. His warm breath around my skin was making me shiver in fear. I was getting uncomfortable. It wasn't like he was of any harm yet I wasn't appreciating the close proximity between us. I never felt it around Ehaan. "Damn! It's going to be fun." He whispered in my ears before placing a slight kiss on my forehead.

I was stunned by his behaviour, my hand on his chest was on the verge to pull him away. But my elbow was grabbed in an iron grip, pulling me away from Viraj. A burning fire was radiating from those brown orbs as I glanced at the interrupter.
