Tony Pov

Daisy and I got into a rhythm of living life, she went to school as I went to work, I made dinner for the both of us when we came in, and then she'd go to bed and then we'd repeat, (that was a long winded way to say we have a routine in place).

Saturday's and Sunday's however were quite different from the rest of the week, (I mean other than the fact it was the weekend), those were the days where we could actually do things and that I actually got to spend time with Daisy, (which was nice).

So it was 7 O'clock in the morning, (so it was quite early in the morning here), and I was dozing still, (not that it lasted much longer, but I was actually dozing), which felt like a weird limbo between awake and asleep, (I know that sounds bloody nuts, but I can't describe it any other way).

"Daddy!, Daddy!, Daddy!"
"Yeah Baby"
"Can we go and jump in some muddy puddles please?"
"(Chuckles), Sure Sweetie, let me get up and get dressed first, ok?"
"Ok Daddy"

So I got dressed and we went out of the house, now, I'm going to be honest here and say that jumping into muddy puddles was not something that I would have chosen to do but I hadn't seen Daisy that happy since her mother left, so naturally I wanted it to last as long as possible.

"Daddy! Daddy!, Daddy!, come jump in the puddles with me!"
"Ok Baby"

So I did jump in some muddy puddles, (I mean how could I not, she's my baby), and while it wasn't my favourite pass time, (that actually might be an understatement and a half), it was worth it to see the smile that it brought Daisy's face.

We then started to head home, as it was a bit nippy out, (even if it was only like the beginning of October, I swear that the winter chill started early that year), and I didn't want Daisy to get any wetter and colder than she already was, (though that could have been the Dad in me talking here).

"Daddy"
"Yeah Baby"
"When we get home, can we have pancakes for breakfast please?"
"(Chuckles), Sure we can Baby"
"Thank you"
"You're welcome Baby"

We got home and I went to make some pancakes, (because pancakes, duh), and considering that I wasn't the biggest fan of jumping in muddy puddles, especially when it was really early on a Saturday morning, well I was actually in a real chirpy mood, (I don't know why that actually was, I just was).

Anyway, I made us pancakes, cleaned up afterwards and all that jazz, and then we just chilled for a bit, (wow Tony, so descriptive... yeah I know that it's slightly ironic that the English teacher here is struggling to describe what he was doing that day).

"Daddy"
"Yeah Baby"
"I had fun today"
"I did too Baby"

"You did?"
"Yeah Baby, I did"
"Can we do it again sometime?"
"(Chuckles), Sure we can Darling"
"Yes!"

She was just so happy about, (honestly she had me wrapped around her little finger and she didn't even know it yet), it just made me feel like everything might actually end up being ok, (though in all honesty that could've been just me catching a 5 year old's enthusiasm here).

Anyway, Daisy did some colouring while I did some bits and bobs that needed doing around the house, (not that I would have chosen to do these bits and bobs, but I had the time to do them so they had to get done), and it continued like this until it was about lunchtime, which was when I then make us both a sandwich.

"Hey Baby, it's lunchtime"
"Daddy what's for lunch?"
"I've made cheese sandwiches"
"Ooh I like a cheese sandwich"
"(Chuckles), I know you do Darling, I know"

So we had our sandwiches, (riveting I know), but it was nice to just relax and enjoy my meal, (even if it was just a sandwich), I also glad that Daisy actually wanted to eat, (as she hadn't really been feeling it), we finished lunch and we then sat on the couch.

"Daddy"
"Yeah Baby"
"When is Nanny coming again?"
"I think she's due to come again in a couple of weeks Darling"
"Ok Daddy, can you read to me please?"
"You sure you want me to read to you Sweetheart?"
"Yeah, I'm sure"
"Ok then Baby"

So I read to Daisy, (I was just glad that she still wanted me to), I couldn't tell you what I read to her as that was quite a few books, (they weren't massive so it was alright), but I just read to her for a couple of hours.
