I know I already gave the update for today but the last chap was kinda short and this one is also kinda short so I'm just making the executive decision to just post both of them as one update. ur welcome.

I continue to walk down the vaguely familiar path, and soon enough, I see a wolf I recognize from seeing around the pack house. Oliver, I think I remember his name being.

He squints, as if he can't believe what he's seeing. "Onyx, is that you?" He calls out, rushing towards me.

Nodding, I stand still as he approaches, scanning my body for any wounds. "Are you injured?" Oliver asks frantically, his eyes dark.

I shake my head, and he exhales in relief. "Thank the Goddess for that. I mindlinked Thane and told him I found you, he's going to meet us at the infirmary, he wants you checked out immediately."

"I said I'm fine," I lash out, for some reason angry.
Oliver looks taken aback. "I know, Luna. It's just a precaution."

"Sorry," I mutter, and he guides us towards the infirmary. I don't know what's gotten into me.
We approach the building, where I can see Thane pacing anxiously, running a hand through his thick hair. When he sees us, he rushes up to me and throws his arms around me.

"Onyx," He chokes out, his voice full of emotion. "You're here, you're safe."

He sniffs my neck, my hair, and pulls away, his eyes scanning me for wounds, just as Oliver had done, a primal urge to check the Luna for injuries.

"Your hand," He grabs my hand gently. "It's wrapped, what happened?"

I gulp. "I don't remember."

"You don't remember anything at all?" He asks in surprise.

"No," I whisper.

"It's the same bastard from last time, isn't it?" Thane snarls angrily, though I know it's not anger towards me.

His eyes darken, and I can see his body shaking. "Let's go get you checked out," He mutters, his voice gravelly. He picks me up, cradling me gently in his arms, carrying me into the building.

We go to a sterilized room, where a healer is waiting. Thane places me on the corner of the bed, stepping away as the healer comes closer.

"Hi, Onyx," He says, his tone light and gentle, like he doesn't want to scare me. "My name is Dale, I'm just going to do a few tests and make sure you're healthy, would that be alright?"

I nod, feeling hollow, and he gives me an encouraging smile. Thane watches with sharp eyes, his arms folded over his chest, his face unreadable.

The healer unwraps my hand, exposing the cut I received from the glass, which was nearly healed over by now. He used an alcohol pad to clean it, redressing it when it dried. "I don't think the hand wound will be an issue, it should heal over completely within the next few days. Doesn't look like it was done with silver or wolfsbane, so it shouldn't scar either," He smiled, and I nodded.

He took a vial of blood to test, and excused himself from the room.

"How are you feeling?" Thane asks, and grabs my hand. The same hand I used to comfort Finn.

"Fine," I say blankly. "I don't think I was harmed."
His eyes narrow. "They didn't take you for no reason.... Is your magic gone?"

I drain the life from a nearby plant, holding my free hand with my palm facing up, forming a small black ball of magic.

"Good," He exhales in relief. "Are you sure you can't remember anything about your kidnapping?"

I shake my head, and he sighs. "Nothing at all? What's the last thing you remember?"

I squint, like I'm trying to recall. "I was sitting in the flower field. Everything went black, and then when I woke up, I was outside of the territory. I kept walking and Oliver found me."

Thane listens intently to my story, which was technically all true, with the omission of a few minor details. Minor details I couldn't afford to tell Thane. Finn was right, Thane would rip apart all of his wolves if he knew.

"I'm so glad whoever took you returned you back to me," He squeezed my hand, and I could see his eyes full of worry. "You've been gone for three days, but I promise you Onyx, I was looking for you the whole time."

"You don't look like you've slept a wink," I noted. His hair was disheveled, and his usually clean shaven face had the beginnings of a beard. What was most noticeable were the dark circles under his eyes, so deeply purple and puffy. "You should go to sleep."
Thane shakes his head. "Not yet."

As if on cue, the healer comes back into the room. "Her blood tested negative for drugs and wolfsbane. Everything seems to be normal."

"Then why can't she remember?" Thane grinds his teeth together, his hand shaking.

Dale frowns. "I'm not sure. Unless if someone has some kind of mind control or memory-altering Gift they used on her, she should be able to remember."
Thane nods. "That's a dangerous Gift," He mutters. "And if that's how they're wiping your memory, there's a chance we'll never find out what happened."

I exhales in relief at that, and Thane must have seen it as a sign of anxiety, because his hand tightens around mine. "Don't worry, little one. I won't give up until we catch whoever did this to you," He reassures me.

Dale excuses himself, and shortly after, there's a knock at the door. "Come in," Thane calls out, and two males and a female enter the room. "Onyx, these are the best trackers in Blue Moon."

"Trackers?" I question in fear.

Thane nods. "I smelt an unfamiliar wolf on you, no doubt the person who took you. If they get his scent, they'll be able to go back to where Oliver found you and track the wolf."

I nod numbly. Please, please don't catch his scent, I silently prayed. Despite that Finn kidnapped me, I didn't want him or his rogues caught. He wasn't a danger to anyone, just a poor soul who wanted to protect innocent rogues. And in that moment, I completely understood him.

The three wolves took turns sniffing me, focusing heavily on the hand and wrist that Finn had touched. After they're finished, Thane asks, "Did you catch a strong enough scent?"

The female nods. "We did. We shouldn't have any issue tracking him."

I gasp slightly, and they all grin victoriously. "Let's leave before the scent gets cold," Thane commands, and they nod.

"You can't!" I cry out, and they look at me in shock. "I mean, it's too dangerous!"

"Don't worry, little one," Thane reassures me. "I'll take a few warriors with us. Don't doubt our strength, we're stronger than you know."

That's what I'm afraid of.

I nod, and Thane kisses my forehead before saying goodbye. Leo and Jason arrive upon Thane's orders to guard me. Him and the trackers leave, and Leo and Jason walk me back to the pack house.

As we walk to Thane's home, my eyes are fixated on the sunset.

Brief A/N:
Okay so a ton of people are mad at Onyx for telling Finn about the Reaper's identity but here's why I don't think it's that bad she did it:
1) Finn swore to the Moon Goddess that he wouldn't go after her. That oath can't be broken.
2) She told him so they could be alert and know who to look out for. Onyx doesn't want more rogues to get killed by Ares, and tbh, Ares knows the risks of going after rogues. If someone tracks her down for revenge then honestly I don't think they would be in the wrong (my personal opinion) cause she just kills without mercy or remorse. I know everyone loves Ares (I do too duh) but in Onyx's eyes she's a villain and tbh she kind of is in a way, despite her good acts, she does a lot of bad shit too.
Those are just my personal opinions so you're more than welcome to disagree with them but idk maybe that'll provide a little more perspective from Onyx's side.

Anyways, there's a fuckton of chapters up on my Patreon so be sure to join! Next update (Thursday) will be Lethal.
