I flutter my eyes open and squeeze them shut again after feeling the strong headache I have. After finding the strength to open my eyes again I start taking in my surroundings and thank the god I'm no longer in that hellhole Collin put me in.

I start looking around through my slightly blurry vision and realize I'm in a hospital room. I look down at the IV attached to my arm. And beside my arm lies Stone. He's sitting on a chair with his head on the bed, sleeping. He's clinging onto my arm I'm afraid he'll wake up if I pull it away. He looks so tired, I can see dark bags under his eyes.

I look down at my other arm and get confused at the white cloth around it. I don't remember Collin hurting my arm. I perfectly remember walking out that house with no injuries. How did I even get here?

I start panicking and remove the blanket covering me, gasping at the sight of a cast on my foot.

The heart machines starts beeping which wakes up Stone. "What happened?" I ask, barely coming out as a whisper and tears start rolling down my face as I recall these past two days.

"Alice, please, stay calm." he says as he quickly cups my face, standing up and sitting on the edge of the bed beside me. My heart beat starts decreasing. "You were hit by a car." he says.

"W-What? When?"

"This morning, when we were leaving that... place." he says and more tears come out of my eyes. Stone pushes my face into his chest as he starts caressing my hair and kissing the top of my head. "Please, stop crying, its all okay now. I promise, I won't let anything bad happen to you."

I nod and back away, "I'm gonna go call the doctor, don't move, okay?" he says as he points a finger at me. I nod again and he kisses my forehead before he leaves.

I look out the window and smile to myself as I watch the beautiful colors of sunset in the sky.

"Well, good morning, Alice." a male voice says as he walks inside the room. I quickly look around, thinking its him, my worst nightmare, but its just the doctor, with Stone behind him.

"Fortunately, the car accident was minor, you have a twisted ankle, you'll be able to remove the cast in a week or so. As for your hand, it was pretty bruised, you can remove the cloth in a few days." the doctor says and I nod at his words.

"When can she leave the hospital?" Stone asks as he walks towards me and stands beside me.

"Tomorrow morning. We noticed slight dehydration in her body so we have to keep her on the IV for a few more hours, Mr. Harrison. The police will be here in a few to take your statement. Fell better soon." the doctor says as he flashes me a smile and gets a glare from Stone. He awkwardly leaves after.

"Who hit me with their car?" I ask.

"Some guy." Stone coldly answers.

"Where is he now? Did you take him?" I worriedly ask again.

"No, don't worry, I handled this... the right way. He wanted to wait for you until you woke up. was like 'fuck no', I just sent him home. Thought I'd see if you wanna press charges or anything." who is this and what did he do to Stone?

"Thank you... for handling it like that. I don't want to press charges, it was just an accident." I say.

"Yeah, he seems like a nice guy." Stone tells me and I raise my eyebrows at him.

"You're being different." I tell him.

"Good different or bad diff- What are you doing?!" he shouts at me as I try to get out of bed.

"I'm not being glued to this bed all day!"

"Alice, you need to rest. What do you need? I'll bring it to you."

"I need to pee."

"Okay, well, I'll carry you to the bathroom then."

"Stone, if I'm going to wear this cast for a week then I need to learn how to walk without anyone's help." I say and stand on my feet. Stone obviously ignores what I said and rushes to help me to the bathroom. He places one hand on my elbow and the other is pushing my IV pole.

We enter the bathroom and he helps me in lowering my panties and pulling up my hospital gown. After placing me on the toilet he walks outside the bathroom and waits for me to finish.

I manage on my own and open the bathroom door when I'm done.

"Alice! What did I say about walking alone?!" he shouts and grabs my elbow with the IV pole again. I don't say anything.

He places me back on the bed and I hear a knock on the door. Stone realizes how tensed up I got, "Don't worry, you're never seeing him again." he says as he grabs my hands and shouts 'come in."

Two police officers walk inside my room. They eye Stone before both of them shake his hand. "Mark, James, been a while." Of course, they're Stone's friends.

"Alice?" Stone says before I give him a look. He quickly understands that I don't want to talk to them. "Alright, I'll be right back. Gentlemen, why don't we talk outside?" Stone says before gesturing the men to follow him.

After a few seconds of them leaving the door flies open again and I tear up at the sight of my father and Steph standing in front of me.

My dad was the first to run towards me and hug me tight. "Ouch." I mumble and he backs away before Steph takes over. "Ouch again."

"Alice, my darling, how are you doing?" my father asks as he cups my face and tears threaten to leave his eyes. Steph is crying, which makes me want to cry.

"I'm fine, dad. Just a twisted ankle and a bruised hand."

"As soon as I get my hands on that bastard-" he starts saying.

"Dad, please, don't mention him." I say and frown.

"I knew it. I swear. I knew he was bad news." Steph says, arms crossed.

"The important thing is that I'm okay now. And he's locked up." I tell them.

"Where's Stone?" dad asks.

"Outside, talking to the police." I say and my dad storms outside the room.

"I don't know what to say, Als..."

"You don't have to say anything. How was school?" I ask her.

"Well, everyone was bummed out that Collin quit. But when they find out about this, they'll hate him forever. We should throw you a party!"

"Steph!"

"Okay, okay, we'll talk about this later."

"Steph, I need your advice in something."

"Yeah, tell me, what is it?" she asks as she takes a seat beside me on the bed.

"I think I'm gonna break up with Stone."
