Today hadn't been going well at all. Every little thing that could've gone wrong did, and Y/N had never felt so useless. She couldn't even help her mother wrangle her younger siblings; children who were usually so compliant and obedient. Y/N knew that the only thing that could cheer her up right now was her boyfriend, Camilo. She drug her feet towards Casita, feeling her disappointment and despair bubble up inside her.

She approached Casita and was almost immediately greeted with a gentle hug from Delores, who must have heard her frustration during her trek to the house. Y/N sunk into the hug, a feeling a calmness erupting. Delores, aside from Camilo, was Y/N's favorite Madrigal. She was a fantastic listener, obviously, and she knew exactly how to make Y/N feel better.

While their hug continued, Camilo came racing down the stairs, anxious and impatient to see his girlfriend.

"Mi vida, mi amor, what's wrong?" Camilo asked, starting out excited and simmering down as he saw the state of his girlfriend.

Delores said nothing, but she gently spun Y/N out of their hug and into the awaiting arms of Camilo, who didn't hesitate to wrap her in a warm and comforting embrace.

"Mi vida, please tell me how I can make you feel better. Should I do some impressions?" Camilo asked. Not waiting for a response, he immediately jumped into shapeshifting from villager to villager, Madrigal to Madrigal, making jokes and funny faces along the way,

"Camilo, corazón, please stop," Y/N gently begged, reaching for his hands. Camilo shifts back into himself, looking at her. His face is painted with confusion.

"Why not, mi amor? You said you loved my impressions," Camilo asks, wondering why his go-to remedy for sadness wasn't working.

Y/N sighed gently, reaching up a hand to run through his soft curls. "I don't want José, or Maria, or Isabela, or anybody else," she explains softly, while gazing lovingly into his eyes, a small smile playing at her lips, "I just want you."

Camilo's heart skips a beat, and he fights off the tears threatening to build up in his eyes. Because of his gift, people often needed or asked him to become different people, and it weighed on him. It was hard only being wanted because you could look like someone else.

He gazed at her, completely lovestruck before sweeping her into his arms and clutching her tight to his chest. He felt her melt into his arms and let out a deep sign of content. Her arms wrapped around his neck, bringing him impossibly closer into his embrace.

He whispered in her ear, with a wide grin on his face, "You have me, mi amor, always."
