a little bit angst but not too much

oh and it's a short story

Hyunjin was doing his work in the living room. His laptop, files, books, papers and pens were all on the coffee table, surrounding him.

Felix, who saw his roommate was really focused on his work made a glass of coffee for him. He went out from the kitchen and made his way towards where the older at.

"Hey.. I made coffee for you" Felix said as he approached Hyunjin. The said boy glanced at him for a second and then focused on his laptop again.

"Thanks. Just leave it there" he said and continued his work. Felix put the glass on the table and was about to walk away. But he saw that the table was very messy because of the papers and files.

He decided to clean them up but he asked the older first.

"Um can I help you with cleaning this up for a bit?" he asked.

"That's so kind of you. Thank you, Felix" Hyunjin smiled at the younger boy and then returned to his work when he saw the other started rearrange his paperworks.

Felix looked at the older who was so serious while cleaning up the table, he thought that the older needs some rest from all of the work. But the thoughts was being snapped off when he accidentally pushed the glass of coffee with his hands.

The coffee spilled on some of the paperworks Hyunjin just done. Felix kind of froze at that as the older looked at his paperworks that got spilled with coffee.

"Felix" he stood up from his seat and snatched the paper from Felix's hands to avoid from getting more spilled by the coffee. His expression turned into an annoyed and disturbed one when he saw his newly done paperwork fully turned into a coffee paperwork.

That was the hardest paragraph he needed to do.

"Hyunjin, I'm sorry" Felix paused as he bit his bottom lips. "I-I accident–"

"It's alright, Felix. Just leave me with my work. I'll handle this" Hyunjin sighed and made his way towards the kitchen, searching for a towel to wipe the coffee clean.

"B-But can I make you another glass of coffee?"

"No thanks. I'll go make a drink myself when I want to. Just please, go rest" Hyunjin gave him a smile but it didn't really last long. If Felix was blinking, he wouldn't see the smile.

"Alright.." Felix slowly walked away with his guiltiness. Maybe he should just sleep it off.

He went into his bedroom and closed the door. He laid down on his bed as he stared at the ceiling above. Soon after, he fell asleep.

- attention -

It's already night. Hyunjin felt his head was aching and decided to take a break for a while before he continue his work. He stood up and walked towards the kitchen to get some drinks.

When he was drinking, he saw a glance of someone who was peeking behind the wall. He knew it was Felix but he decided to ignored it and went to wash his glass.

Hyunjin then walked his way towards the coffee table where he did his works. He continued on doing his works till done.

When he was working on it, he again saw the same fluffy blonde hair behind his laptop, meaning Felix was sitting across him. Sometimes the boy would peeking on him from behind the laptop but he still decided to ignore the other.

Once he finished his work, he let out a satisfied sigh. He rearranged all of his paperworks according to their pages and put it in one file after he stapled all of them together.

He closed his laptop and was greeted by that fluffy blonde hair again. Felix was sleeping(he thought) with his head on both of his hands on the table. Hyunjin put his laptop in its bag and then putting away the files and the bag in his room.

He chose a book from his bookshelf and got out of his bedroom to go to the living room again. He saw that Felix wasn't there anymore but he just shrugged it off and sat down on the sofa. He continued to read where he left of.

Hyunjin was sitting while leaning his back on the edge of the sofa.

But then again and again, that fluffy blonde hair appeared from behind his book. He lower down his book a bit to look at the boy in front of him but the other just looked down without saying anything.

Hyunjin ignored him again when Felix didn't say anything and read his book. After a while, he saw that sparkling eyes was peeking at him from above the book he was reading and he had enough of that.

He decided to just break the silence between them.

"What do you want?" he asked, not really intending to sound annoyed or mad, but the tone he was using was kind of accidentally came out like that.

Felix was panicking at that, thinking that the older is still mad at him. He immediately tackled the older into a hug.

"Attention" he said as he hugged Hyunjin tightly. Making their legs tangled. "I want attention" the voice was just small.

Hyunjin blushed at that as he slowly returned the hug. This was the first time Felix hugged him this close. He wasn't really mad about the coffee incident, how can he be mad at the younger when he was acting like this.

"I'm sorry about earlier. Please don't be mad at me for so long. I feel lonely" Felix confessed as he pulled off from the hug. He was also blushing so hard.

"I'm not mad, Felix. Wanna watch a movie together?" he offered as he knew that the younger wanted some attention from him. He ruffled the blonde boy's hair with a chuckle. Felix nodded his head and made some space for Hyunjin to move and sat comfortably.

They turned on the television and opened Netflix.

Netflix and chill ? 😀
