Your POV :

We were all sitting  in silence ,looking at grandpa waiting for him to break it. 

"Ahem! " He coughed as we all looked at him "I didn't want to say anything about this matter, but from what I have observed lately there is no use in hiding anything anymore! " 

"What do you mean old man! " Asked Naki rather annoyed.

"I mean exactly what you think Abnaki !! I m willing to disclose what we've been hopelessly hiding." 

"Why would you do that?! And to whom! These filthy pirates? For what purpose?" Yelled Naki attemting to stand up but I stopped him from showing any other objections, looking at grandpa who is now holding a serious look. Upon seeing how serious our grandpa was, Naki sat down again with a sigh . " Carry on Grandpa! " I said.

"Anyways, it all started a year ago, when certain pirates came seeking rest as any other sailor. They call themselves 'ROYAL SHARKS' pirates. " 

"Royal Sharks! I never heard of them before!" Exclaimed Nami.

"They keep themselves annonymous on purpose. We welcomed them warmly as we did with you, but that was wrong! I wish we never did. " 

I kept my head down and couldn't utter a word. The same goes for Naki and the children, which is something the crew noticed. Grandpa continued, "They had bad intentions from the begining. They wanted to take the island for themselves, to control us and do as they please without any opposition! And so they did. They had the upper hand being strong pirates and allies with Enel, the one you defeated in Skypiea. "

"That fake god was  friend with these pirates! " Usopp  asked astonished.

"Well not friends per say rather, business partners. Enel helps them controling us as long as they help him maintain his power over Skypiea! Though I know there is more benefits to him than just that." Chief answered.

"So you are saying those pirates came and took the island by force right! " Zoro said laying down. 

"Yes indeed. We tried to fight back but we only made things worse! Because of my reckless decisions my daughter is held hostage now with those dirty pirates.... " Said grandpa clenching his fist with a sorrowful look. We just felt the same sorrow as we couldn't lift our heads up. 

"Your daughter! Is she Y/N mother? " Asked Robin intrigued. 

"NO Robin, She  is Naki 's mother. " I said as I looked at the sad looking prince beside me.

" I was an inconsiderate chief once and I m not planning on being that again! " Grandpa looked up.

"Chief  it's not your fault! You did all you could to protect the tribe and the people.  It's my fault since she was only protecting me. If it wasn't for me then....then... " 

I couldn't talk anymore because my vision was already blurry with the tears threatning to fall when Naki  put his hand on my shoulder reassuring me. "It's no one's fault but theirs. Besides, protecting you was her own decision."  With that he stood up and left, leaving me in more regret.

"Oh I m so sorry to hear such new . Is his mother alright? " Nami san asked.

"The captain promised he won't hurt her as long as we comply to all what he orders. That's why we endured and endured for a year everything he did and we are still willing to endure more for our island and our Shaman. " 

"Shaman? " Asked Chopper. 

" Yes, Naki 's mother, ms. Abey   is our Shaman here, that's why the pirates were satisfied having her instead of me. " I explained sorrowfuly. 

"My dautgher has spiritual ablities as the Shaman of the tribe. She can cure illnesses, foretell the future, and control spiritual forces in nature. " Grandpa added.

"Wow! I didn't know of such abilities! But Y/N, why would they want to have you?! " Asked Usopp. 

 I sighed heavily when I caught Luffy 's eyes analysing me. He didn't utter a single word. This whole time he's been munching food like a monster.
"How can you find the appetite to eat in such a sorrowful atmosphere!" Nami addressed him.

As I was looking for words ,Grandpa took the bother to explain, "There are two reasons on why those Sharks pirates came to our island. First because of the island itself. They know of the secrets hidden deep in the other side of the forest. They don't want the comfort of the island only but all the island itself for their evil greedy purposes. I guess you know by now that the island is a holy place that holds both historical and mystical treasures! " 

"Oh yes indeed! Treasures like these are for sure to be targeted! " Agreed Robin. 

"As for the second reason..." Grandpa continued, "They are aiming for Y/N powers. " 

I closed my eyes when Grandpa mentioned my name, not wanting to show any emotions.

"The princess' powers! Could it be the same powers as your daughter? " Asked Robin.

Grandpa shook his head, "No. Y/N is a devil fruit user." 

Everyone gasped and looked bewildered! They stared at me intensely. 

"She has the Ome Ome no mi powers. It is a very valuable devil fruit that everyone wishes to have." 

"Now you mention the name, I think I've heard of it somewhere! Indeed it is a strong devil fruit! To know that this gentle cheerful princess possesses such dangerous powers...." Robin said.

"So this is why you said that Abey  protected you! They wanted to take you because of your powers but she gave herself instead! " Nami  concluded. 

I didn't realise tears were coming out already till poka held into my arm, "Big sis, it's not your fault, don't cry! It's those bad pirates' fault! " She said, with concern in her eyes. 

"Those pirates caused enough harm already. They didn't just kidnap my daughter, but they rampaged the island! they stole and hunted and harmed my people! They caused the suffering of my grandchild and the tears of my grand-daughter! They scared the children and secluded us from the outside world! I will never forgive them. " Grandpa yelled with rage, and i could only cry more tears. I covered my mouth to hide any possible sobbings.  

The children started to cry as well worsening the scene along with a single tear rolling down grandpa's wrinkled cheek. The crew kept silent for a moment before Sanji  lighted up a cigarette while Luffy  after gulping his food, spoke up for the first time in this chapter,  "So why are you telling us all of this suddenly! " He said with eyes covered with his dark bangs. 

"Luffy! won't you show some respect! " Yelled Nami. 

" I myself don't know! We received so many pirates before you, even marines! but I didn't say a word. It's just there is something different about you children, and it's not just me who senses that, right children!? " Grandpa finally gave a weak smile looking toward the kids who instantly wiped the small tears and smiled back,  "Yes. Luffy bro is a great pirate. " said Hantes. 

"They say children's senses are always right don't they! I as well like you guys. " I smiled.

"Straw hat, " Grandpa interrupted the short warm moment we had, "I bet now you know why they want you to leave. They don't want any outside interventions! Straw hat Luffy, do you still wish to stay now that you heard the story or did you change your mind? I won't blame you if you did, these Pirates won't leave you alone if you stay here any longer. Your whole crew could be harmed." 

"This island is really interesting, and I love it; there is still so much to explore in here.  Also the people make really delicious food, our cook can learn a lot. Finally, the kindness the princess showed  us, and the warm feeling the people offered us, I personally can never overlook the problem they are facing. " Luffy  looked up with a determined yet angry gaze, a specific stare that the chief understood way too well and found it very familiar. 

"That means Luffy bro will help us have Abey  back! " Hantes clung to the captain's red vest.

"And help us get rid of those pirates? " Poka joined.

"All I know is that I will punch the one causing troubles around here so hard!" He answered. 

"How about the rest of the crew, ou have the right to say your word. " Grandpa adressed the others. 

"Unfortunately, when Luffy decides on something, no one can change his mind!" Said Nami sighing with a smile. 

" It's the captain's order after all we don't have the right to complain. " Added Zoro, gulping a shot of his beer. 

"In addition we totally agree with our Captain! We will never deceive those who treated us with kindness." Usopp  said.

"You are saying big words Usopp! Make sure you be part of the battle later! " Sanji teased and Usopp  just stiffened.  

"Don't worry princess, I m joining too! I don't want any other pirate to steal the truth of history." Robin san patted my back. 

"You guys! Thank you so much I don't know what to say! " I hugged her tightly showing my gratitude and she hugged back. Finally,  I could see a glimmer of hope at last .........
