Ronnie's POV

It was currently Thanksgiving and that meant that summer was officially over.

Me and Colby had stayed at my parents house last night.

We are currently entering his hometown.

We agreed we would spend the morning with my parents then the rest of thanksgiving weekend with his parents.

I was going to meet his parents.

His whole family.

I couldn't say I was nervous.

I was really excited.

I hadn't shut up the whole car ride here.

I could tell that he was nervous to meet my parents.

People across the country could tell.

They loved him though.

Let's just hope its the same for me when they meet me.

Gradually as we got into the old neighbourhood.

Colby started pointing at things and telling me about what happened there.

He pointed at a tree while we were at a stop sign.

"See that tree over there?" He says pointing out my window on the passengers side.

I turn my head and nod.

It was a big oak tree with stones at the bottom.

"When I was nine, me and my cousin climbed it. Since I was so competitive, I turned it into a race" he continues while smiling.

I loved hearing about what his life was like when he was younger.

"I definitely won the race. The race to the stones beneath it"

I tilt my head in confusion.

He rolls up his sleeve to show his right arm.

"Broke my arm in 3 places that day" he says pointing to scars on his arm.

I couldn't help but burst out laughing.

"Are you still close with your cousin?" I ask him.

We never really talked about his family because he wouldn't ever go into a great detail so I stopped asking.

"Yeah I see him everyday" he says only confusing me more.

"But you are in LA with me?"

"Oh yeah, he is a news anchor" he explains.

"Oh I always wanted to be one of those when I was younger." I say remembering how I used to interview my parents and stuffed animals.

"You would make a good one. You've got a pretty face" he says smirking at me.

We laugh and continue the drive through the neighbourhood.

We eventually pull up at the end of a long road lined with trees and white picket fences.

The sun setting and family's at the dinner table.

A big white house with a red door and blue window frames.

Lights showing the way down the path.

This is my dream house from when I was a kid.

Let's just hope it feels like home.
