I apologise for making you all think that Colby was dead.

Colby's POV

As I hit the water, all thought left my brain.

I closed my eyes and held my breath.

Kicking my feet, desperate to rise to the surface.

As my mouth came to contact with the air, I gasped for the oxygen I craved.

I never realised but I held my breath the whole way down.

As my arms started to cut through the water, splashes sounded off all around me.

Everyone had risen to the surface.

All laughing and cheering.

All but one.

Ronnie.

I look around the water and at my friends.

But I couldn't see her.

I took a big gulp of air and pushed myself under the water.

Searching all over the sea floor.

My eyes stinging from the salt.

I couldn't see her.

I kick my feet once again, bringing my body upwards.

As I gasp for air again, I look in every direction.

My heart beating and my arms moving rapidly to keep me above the surface.

I turned my head to the shore to see Ronnie climbing onto a rock.

I sighed with relief,

"I can't believe we actually did that" Jake screamed and everyone cheered.

We all swam back to the cave and gathered some sticks,

"They need to be dry if they will light" Brennen shouted to the group as we collected the material for the bonfire.

I gathered all that I could carry from the top of the beach.

Dumping them all onto the now existing pile.

Elton opened a box of matches and lit one off, dropping it into the wooden derbis.

It started a small ignition but it still felt nice against my cold body,

"What bag is the lighter fluid in?" Jake asked,

"Here" Corey responded, handing him a white and yellow bottle.

Jake popped off the cap and tipped the bottle upside down.

Letting the liquid hit the fire and expand double in size,

"Wow" Devyn shouted as we all suddenly jumped back,

"Now that's a fire!" Aaron laughed and we all cheered.

I feel like I'm at an award ceremony with all this cheering.

Brennen connected his phone with the speaker and pressed shuffle.

We all looked like native American who had just found the fattest wild animal to feast on.

We were dancing and running around the fire.

Some of us even jumped over the flames a couple of times.

Corey had a sore foot now.

It was a perfect evening.

The unplanned ones are always the best.

I was too busy enjoying myself.

I hadn't even noticed that Ronnie had wandered off into the water.

She was dancing, all by herself.

She was swaying hers arms around and moving her body to the music, so peacefully.

So beautifully.

The water gently colliding against her mid thigh.

I didn't want to disturb her so I just watched her.

And I didn't want to forget this moment.

I quickly ran over the one of the backpack and unzipped the side pocket, grabbing my phone.

I pulled it out and opened the camera, focusing the shot.

I pressed the button and locked my phone.

Standing there with my hands in my pockets.

Looking at my miracle.
