Ronnie's POV

have you ever been awake so early that you see the streetlights being turned off?

It was 5am in sunny Los Angeles and the sun was rising as the streetlights faded.

I was only around the corner from my house so I know I would be back before 6am.

My parents don't know I leave through my window and down the tree every night, walking the streets until dawn.

I always bring my phone with me so I can be easily contacted just incase they need me.

If they did find out, they probably would be cool with it.

They are really loving and fortunately not controlling.

The reason I walk the streets at the break of dawn is because it's peaceful.

No cars. No people chattering. No lawnmowers and no barking dogs.

It's the only few hours of the day that I can feel free.

I can feel alive.

I live a happy, wonderful life.

I am loved and cared for by many people.

It's the one time of the day were no one expects anything from me and all my responsibilities simply run away from me for a while.

I always walk past this one house with a big gate and cars in the drive way.

5 guys and a girl live there from as far as I know.

If anyone was awake at this time, it was them.

They were young and wild.

They rarely sleep and they are always laughing.

They seem like so much fun.

Every night I walk past this house, I see one of the boys always staring up at the sky from his window.

He had bright blue eyes and perfect hazel hair.

He always wore black but sometimes a white tshirt.

He had pale skin and wore rings.

Sometimes I walk up and down his street, wandering what he was thinking as he sat there for hours staring up into the sparkly night sky.

As the sun began to rise further, I head home.

Walking past the party house fulls of the boys.

I see him at his window as usual, tracing his fingers across the glass.

He stands up opening his window and dangling his legs out.

He sighs and rests on his hands, waiting on the sunlight to touch his skin.

"Night owl?" I hear from above.

I look at the boy and he is looking right back at me.

"Um Yeah, you?"

"It's the best part of the day, it's so peaceful don't you think?" He says breathing in slowly and exhaling.

"Yeah no one is around" I reply.

He simply just nods his head and climbs back inside his window.

He smiles at me then walks away out of my sight from where I'm standing.

His voice was deeper than I thought it would be.

As I continued to walk down the street and turn the corner.

I walked across the lawn and around the back of the house.

Stepping up and pushing myself up the familiar branches.

I slip in through the window as if nothing had happened.

I close the window and head for the bathroom.

Switching on the shower and waiting for it to heat up.

Here's to Monday.
