Ronnie's POV

"I'm not ready for a relationship yet but I like what we have" was all that was running through my head.

All day long.

All week long.

A whole month since the movie night and I still can't get over it.

I love what we have.

I agree with him 100%.

I'm just hurt.

I don't know why.

Maybe I'm scared that he might have someone else.

Maybe I'm scared that we won't have a spark next time.

"Miss Smith!" I hear the teacher shout at me, snapping me out of my thoughts.

"Yes" I reply calmy.

"What's the answer to question 9?" She says smugly,

"947.55" I say back with a smug look.

She sighs and turns back to the board.

The bell rings and students rush out the classroom.

As I'm leaving the class I bump into Sydney.

"Oh hey I haven't seen you since the party" she says hugging me.

I hug her back.

"Yeah guess I've been busy"

"Yeah me too, text me?" She says as she gradually makes her way down the corridor.

I wave her goodbye and make my way to my locker.

As I put my books away and get my bag out I shut my locker.

I make my way outside and to head home.

Out the corner of my eye I see Lucas.

My friend from the party, the prankster.

I walk over to him.

"Hey" I say leaning against his car with him.

He locks his phone and smiles at me.

"Hi, how's it going" he says slyly while biting his lip.

"Um good Yeah.. well it was good to see you" I say trying to end the conversation.

I felt so uncomfortable and I don't know why.

We've been friends for ages.

I've never felt like this around him before.

I try to leave but he stops me,

"Hey not so fast" he snaps holding a grip on my arm.

"Hey your hurting me" I say in a low voice.

His grip was growing stronger and his fingertips burned against my skin.

He started to kiss my neck and held me close by the hips.

"Please stop" I say quietly, terrifed to raise my voice.

He wouldn't stop.

I couldn't move.

I was so terrifed and shaken.

I can't move my arms.

My legs didn't want to run.

I felt powerless.

He grabbed me by the hair and opened the backseat doors.

It took all the energy inside me but I finally moved.

I formed a fist and punched him right in the face.

This only made him more angry and somehow stronger.

I started thumping on his chest repeatedly.

He started to hunch over and cough.

Only minutes ago, my legs would work.

Now I could run a marathon.

I see the ground beneath me but it's mostly a blur.

I ran past the traffic lights, hearing cars honk at me.

I turn the corner and down a hill.

I run down the street beside my house and up my front lawn.

I unlock my door and run up to my room.

Locking the door and sliding down it.

Crying until my stomach hurt.

Tears running down my cheeks.
